The Impact of the Global Financial Crisis on the Banking System of Russia

The problem of the functioning of the banking institutions in Russia and Central Eurasia in the context of their exposure to the global financial crisis. The crisis has become an integral part of the global economy. And the processes of globalization and integration have led to the fact that, originating in one state, in one economy, it is spreading to other countries and regions. Applying the methodology of historical and synchronous cross-country study suggests a mythological nature of the global financial collapse forecasts. But whenever any of the world's geo-economic zones, showed, unlike the others, who are in a state of crisis, high growth dynamics. There is therefore a need to study the impact of the crisis is in the regions, especially in terms of the functioning of banking institutions, as they are the backbone element of the economy. Bank Central Eurasia systems are in an unstable position, undergoing institutional transformation. It is therefore necessary to develop anti-crisis measures that will contribute to a smooth transition of regional economies from the crisis, to promote the sovereignty of the national currency, monetary integration, as well as the sustainability and stability of the functioning of the monetary and banking system. IMPACT OF ATRIAL FIBRILLATION ON THE NEAR AND LONG-TERM PROGNOSIS OF LIFE AFTER ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION. THE DATA OF THE LIS-1 STUDY (LYUBERTSY MORTALITY STUDY OF PATIENTS WITH ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION)

Aim. To study the effect of atrial fibrillation (AF) that existed before the myocardial infarction (MI), on near and long-term mortality in patients with acute MI.Material and methods. The data of LIS register (Lyubertsy study on mortality rate in patients after MI), that included all patients hospitalized for acute MI (n=1133) during the period from 1 January 2005 to 31 December 2007, were used to solve the aim of the study.Results. AF was recorded in 88 patients (7.8%), and the frequency of AF significantly increased with age. 22 patients with a history of AF (25%) died in hospital, and mortality in this group of patients was significantly higher than this in the whole group of patients (15.2%; p=0.025). However, these differences were not statistically significant when adjusted for age and gender (OR=1.25; 95% CI 0.77-2.04; p=0.37). 66 people from 961 patients, who were discharged from the hospital, had the AF before acute MI. Relative risk of death in patients with AF in this group (adjusted for age and sex) was significantly higher than this in patients without AF (OR=1.91; 95% CI 1.18-3.11; p=0.005). Conclusion. AF diagnosed in patients with acute MI at admission did not influence significantly hospital mortality. However, pre-existing AF increases significantly the risk of death in patients survived acute period of MI

EPIDEMIOLOGY OF PRIMARY HIP ARTHROPLASTY: REPORT FROM REGISTER OF VREDEN RUSSIAN RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF TRAUMATOLOGY AND ORTHOPEDICS

The   paper   presents   data   analysis   of  the   Hip   Arthroplasty  Register   of  Vreden   Russian   Research   Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, namely information on 37373 primary THA performed at the Vreden Institute and at several other orthopedic centers and 1200 hip replacements at other hospitals of St. Petersburg.There were 1.5 times more women in the studied cohort than men. A significant predominance of women with dysplastic osteoarthritis (72.4%) and rheumatoid arthritis (82.1%) was reported. A male predominance was noted in patients with secondary osteoarthritis (53.1%), post-traumatic changes of hip (61.0%) and osteonecrosis of the femoral head (68.6 %). The mean age of patients was 58.0±12.9 years (95% CI from 57.9 to 58.1, median 59 years). Age data of the study revealed that  patients were 10-12 years younger than reported in the national  arthroplasty registers of other countries.Total  hip arthroplasty was performed  in the  absolute  majority  of patients – 37295  cases (99,8%).  Uncemented implants  were used in 59.3% of cases, hybrid – in 29.6%, cemented – in 10.2%, reverse-hybrid – in 0.9% of all patients. The  most  common  bearing  used  was metal  on  crosslink  polyethylene, which  was applied  in 50.1% of all cases of arthroplasty. The  type  of fixation  of the  implant,  and  the  use of different  bearings  varied  in different  age groups. The paper presents  not only the absolute  numbers  of the data, but also demonstrated the dynamics  of the changes in time starting from 2007.The  present  epidemiological  study  does not  claim the  absolute  completeness of the  presented data,  but  contains the  analysis of the  large number  of cases, comparable  with  follow-ups  of patients in some national  registers  of certain European countries. Possible Metastable State Triggered by Competition of Peierls State and Charge Ordered State

We examine a Peierls ground state and its competing metastable state in the one-dimensional quarter-filled Peierls-Hubbard model with the nearest-neighbor repulsive interaction V and the electron-phonon interaction (\propto 1/K with K being the elastic constant). From the mean-field approach, we obtain the phase diagram for the ground state on the plane of parameters V and K. The coexistent state of the spin-density wave and the charge ordering is realized for large V and K. With decreasing K, it exhibits a first-order phase transition to the unconventional Peierls state which is described by the bond-centered charge-density-wave state. In the large region of the Peierls ground state in the phase diagram, there exists the metastable state where the energy takes a local minimum with respect to the lattice distortion. On the basis of the present calculation, we discuss the photoinduced phase observed in the (EDO-TTF)_{2}PF_{6} compound.Comment: 8 pages, 9 figure

The article aduces the main stages of pharmacoeconomic calculations to establish the size of the labour costs of employees’ pharmacies military medical service. Theoretical Aspects of Charge Ordering in Molecular Conductors

Theoretical studies on charge ordering phenomena in quarter-filled molecular (organic) conductors are reviewed. Extended Hubbard models including not only the on-site but also the inter-site Coulomb repulsion are constructed in a straightforward way from the crystal structures, which serve for individual study on each material as well as for their systematic understandings. In general the inter-site Coulomb interaction stabilizes Wigner crystal-type charge ordered states, where the charge localizes in an arranged manner avoiding each other, and can drive the system insulating. The variety in the lattice structures, represented by anisotropic networks in not only the electron hopping but also in the inter-site Coulomb repulsion, brings about diverse problems in low-dimensional strongly correlated systems. Competitions and/or co-existences between the charge ordered state and other states are discussed, such as metal, superconductor, and the dimer-type Mott insulating state which is another typical insulating state in molecular conductors. Interplay with magnetism, e.g., antiferromagnetic state and spin gapped state for example due to the spin-Peierls transition, is considered as well. Distinct situations are pointed out: influences of the coupling to the lattice degree of freedom and effects of geometrical frustration which exists in many molecular crystals. Междисциплинарная коммуникативная компетенция: концептуализация и практическое применение

Introduction. Communication complexities which often occur in interdisciplinary work gave rise to the studies on teaching interdisciplinary communication. A growing need to provide pedagogical solutions to facilitate teaching interdisciplinary communication stimulated the research into language as a social practice to better understand communication process for interdisciplinary purposes. Aim. This exploratory study investigates the concept of interdisciplinary communicative competence and proposes a framework of interdisciplinary communicative competence with the focus on three underlying components: knowledge, skills, and personal attributes of interdisciplinary team members. Methodology and research methods. Qualitative and quantitative methods were used. The data obtained from 24 in-depth semi-structured interviews with five groups of higher education stakeholders (employers, academic directors of the programmes, professors, students, and alumni) revealed the existing interdisciplinary practices in the university and cross-functional practices in the companies. The proposed framework was empirically tested using an online survey with 139 responses from professors, students, and employers. The data processing techniques included the use of Kendall’s concordance coefficient, Cronbach’s alpha, and the principal component analysis. Results. The study presents the authors’ conceptualisation of interdisciplinary communicative competence and its framework as the result of the literature analysis and the empirical research. The findings provided evidence on the importance of language skills for effective interdisciplinary communication as perceived by 5 groups of respondents. The choice of language skills as a basic component of interdisciplinary communicative competence is justified. Scientific novelty. The study contributes to the conceptualisation of a framework of interdisciplinary communicative competence. The elements of the framework are identified and their relevance is empirically tested. Practical significance. The results of the empirical part of the study can be applied in the design of interdisciplinary learning process in higher education, for example, in the design of interdisciplinary courses, and teaching materials.Введение. Междисциплинарная академическая деятельность сопряжена с рядом сложностей, которые возникают в процессе коммуникации у участников взаимодействия. В настоящее время возрастает интерес исследователей к изучению данной темы в связи с необходимостью обеспечить процесс междисциплинарного обучения дидактическими средствами и методическими материалами. Не менее актуальным становится изучение вопроса использования языка участниками междисциплинарного общения. Цель работы – на основе теоретических и практических исследований сформулировать концепт «междисциплинарная коммуникативная компетенция» и разработать модель данной компетенции. Методология, методы и методики. В ходе работы были использованы количественные и качественные методы исследования. Полученные данные в результате проведения 24 полуструктурированных интервью среди представителей пяти групп респондентов, заинтересованных в образовательном процессе в вузе (работодателей, академических директоров программ, преподавателей, студентов и выпускников), позволили выявить их отношение к междисциплинарному подходу в обучении и преподавании в университете, а также понять особенности кросс-функционального общения в компаниях. Разработанная авторами статьи модель междисциплинарной коммуникативной компетенции была апробирована путем проведения онлайн-опроса среди преподавателей, студентов и работодателей. Обработка данных (139 ответов) проводилась с использованием современных количественных методов. Результаты. В результате исследования был сформулирован концепт междисциплинарной коммуникативной компетенции и разработана модель данной компетенции, которая включает три компонента: (1) знание функционального использования языка и когнитивные навыки осуществления междисциплинарной деятельности, (2) речевые умения и навыки, (3) личностные качества участников междисциплинарной команды. Анализ данных, полученных в ходе 24 глубинных интервью и опроса 134 респондентов, выявил необходимость и целесообразность формирования междисциплинарной коммуникативной компетенции у всех участников образовательного процесса для осуществления эффективной коммуникации. В структуре модели междисциплинарной коммуникативной компетенции все группы респондентов отметили приоритет формирования речевых умений и навыков участников междисциплинарной команды, что подтверждает обоснованность выбора данных элементов в качестве ведущего компонента в структуре модели междисциплинарной коммуникативной компетенции. Научная новизна. Настоящая работа вносит вклад в разработку концепта «междисциплинарная коммуникативная компетенция» и предлагает модель междисциплинарной коммуникативной компетенции с опорой на эмпирические данные, полученные в ходе интервью и опроса. Практическая значимость. ЛИМБИЧЕСКИЙ ЭНЦЕФАЛИТ ГЕРПЕСВИРУСНОЙ ЭТИОЛОГИИ

Based on the literature data and our personal observations in the article discusses the types of variants of the course of nervous system caused by herpesviruses. In the description of a clinical case demonstrated a classic example of limbic encephalitis infectious etiology. The study involved 36 children with various neurological and infectious diseases: 19 children with the diagnosis - convulsions, 8 children with the diagnosis — epilepsy, 5 children with acute viral encephalitis, 3 children with neuropathies. It was established that in the genesis of diseases such as epilepsy, convulsive syndrome, limbic encephalitis, neuropathy peripheral nerves leading role belongs to of herpes virus infection, in which the dominant role belongs HHV-6 infection. Pathogenetically proved the impact of the virus on the receptor apparatus of glia with the disorder of the functional state of mitochondria of these cells. According to our own observations provided data that result in persistence of HHV-6 variant-in mono or in combination with other herpesviruses growing threat of epilepsy and other neurological disorders. На основании литературных данных и собственных наблюдений в статье рассматриваются варианты поражения нервной системы герпесвирусами. В описании клинического случая продемонстрирован классический пример лимбического энцефалита герпесвирусной этиологии. Обследовано 36 детей с различными неврологическими и инфекционными заболеваниями: 19 детей с диагнозом — судорожный синдром, 8 детей с диагнозом — эпилепсия, 5 детей с острым вирусным энцефалитом, 3 детей с нейропатиями. Установлено, что в генезе таких заболеваний, как эпилепсия, судорожный синдром, лимбический энцефалит, нейропатии периферических нервов ведущая роль принадлежит герпесвирусным инфекциям, доминирующее значение при которых имеет ВГЧ-6 инфекция. Патогенетически доказано воздействие вируса на рецепторный аппарат нейроглии с расстройством функционального состояния митохондрий этих клеток. На основании собственных наблюдений получены данные о том, что в результате персистенции ВГЧ-6 в моно-варианте или в сочетании с другими герпесвирусами нарастает угроза развития эписиндрома и других неврологических расстройств

The ART-XC telescope on board the SRG observatory

ART-XC (Astronomical Roentgen Telescope - X-ray Concentrator) is the hard X-ray instrument with grazing incidence imaging optics on board the Spektr-Roentgen-Gamma (SRG) observatory. The SRG observatory is the flagship astrophysical mission of the Russian Federal Space Program, which was successively launched into orbit around the second Lagrangian point (L2) of the Earth-Sun system with a Proton rocket from the Baikonur cosmodrome on 13 July 2019. The ART-XC telescope will provide the first ever true imaging all-sky survey performed with grazing incidence optics in the 4-30 keV energy band and will obtain the deepest and sharpest map of the sky in the energy range of 4-12 keV. Observations performed during the early calibration and performance verification phase as well as during the on-going all-sky survey that started on 12 Dec. 2019 have demonstrated that the in-flight characteristics of the ART-XC telescope are very close to expectations based on the results of ground calibrations. Upon completion of its 4-year all-sky survey, ART-XC is expected to detect ~5000 sources (~3000 active galactic nuclei, including heavily obscured ones, several hundred clusters of galaxies, ~1000 cataclysmic variables and other Galactic sources), and to provide a high-quality map of the Galactic background emission in the 4-12 keV energy band. ART-XC is also well suited for discovering transient X-ray sources.
