Solution to the Equations of the Moment Expansions
We develop a formula for matching a Taylor series about the origin and an
asymptotic exponential expansion for large values of the coordinate. We test it
on the expansion of the generating functions for the moments and connected
moments of the Hamiltonian operator. In the former case the formula produces
the energies and overlaps for the Rayleigh-Ritz method in the Krylov space. We
choose the harmonic oscillator and a strongly anharmonic oscillator as
illustrative examples for numerical test. Our results reveal some features of
the connected-moments expansion that were overlooked in earlier studies and
applications of the approach
Very large scale high performance computing and instrument management for high availability systems through the use of virtualization at the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope
The Square Kilometer Array (SKA) Telescope, is an ongoing project set to start its building phase in 2018 and be ready for first light in 2020. The first part of the project, the SKA1 will be comprised of 130.000 low frequency antennas (50 MHz to 350 MHz) and 200 mid frequency antennas (350 MHz to 15.5 GHz). The SKA1 will produce a raw data rate of ~10 Tb/s, require a computing power of 100 Pflop/s and an archiving capacity of hundreds of PB/year. The next phase of the project, the SKA2, is going to increase the number of both low and mid antennas by a factor of 10 and increase the computing requirements accordingly. The key requirements for the project are a very demanding availability of 99.9%, computing scalability and result reproducibility. We propose an approach to enforce these requirements - with an optimal use of resources - by using highly distributed computing and virtualization technologies.publishe
High--order connected moments expansion for the Rabi Hamiltonian
We analyze the convergence properties of the connected moments expansion
(CMX) for the Rabi Hamiltonian. To this end we calculate the moments and
connected moments of the Hamiltonian operator to a sufficiently large order.
Our large--order results suggest that the CMX is not reliable for most
practical purposes because the expansion exhibits considerable oscillations.Comment: 12 pages, 5 figures, 1 tabl

The large number of patients and the uniqueness of their diseases demand a considerable amount of diverse and highly personalized therapies, that are nowadays largely managed manually. This paper aims at catering for the emergent need of efficient and effective artificial intelligence systems for the support of the everyday activities of centers like Casa dos Marcos. We present six predictive data models developed with a genetic programming based system which, integrated into a web-application, enabled data-driven support for the therapists in Casa dos Marcos. The presented results clearly indicate the usefulness of the system in assisting complex therapeutic procedures for children suffering from rare diseases.authorsversionpublishe
High Field Magnetization of a NdCu2 Single Crystal
Studies of the high-field magnetization on a single crystal of NdCu2 with the field along the three principal crystallographic directions are presented. A crossing of the magnetization curves along the a- and b-axes is observed. The order of magnetization along each axis in high magnetic fields is then (μc < μb < μa). This behaviour is discussed in terms of a microscopic hamiltonian including crystal-field and Zeeman interactions. © 1995.This work was financially supported by 'Stichting voor Fundamenteel Onderzoek der Materie', the Charles University Grant Agency (Project 288), the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (Project 202/93/0184) and Department of Energy of USA
Crystal Lattice Distortions and Chemical Composition of Nonstoichiometric Compounds TbFe2Mnx (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.4)
In this paper we studied crystal lattice and chemical composition of TbFe2Mnx Laves phase. It was shown that magnetostriction induces splitting of x-ray diffraction reflects and spontaneous magnetostriction can be calculated. Chemical composition was checked by x-ray fluorescent analysis.Работа выполнена при поддержке РФФИ (проект № 20-42-660008) и правительства Свердловской области. Так же благодарим Кулеша Н. Construction task allocation through the collective perception of a dynamic environment
Building structures is a remarkable collective process but its automation remains an open challenge. Robot swarms provide a promising solution to this challenge. However, collective construction involves a number of difficulties regarding efficient robots allocation to the different activities, particularly if the goal is to reach an optimal construction rate. In this paper, we study an abstract construction scenario, where a swarm of robots is engaged in a collective perception process to estimate the density of building blocks around a construction site. The goal of this perception process is to maintain a minimum density of blocks available to the robots for construction. To maintain this density, the allocation of robots to the foraging task needs to be adjusted such that enough blocks are retrieved. Our results show a robust collective perception that enables the swarm to maintain a minimum block density under different rates of construction and foraging. Our approach leads the system to stabilize around a state in which the robots allocation allows the swarm to maintain a tile density that is close to or above the target minimum.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedDorigo, M. Препаративный синтез пролиллейцилпролина
Using trifluoracetyl and tert-butoxycarbonyl protection for amine groups, preparative methods for synthesis of prolylleucylproline have been developed.
MAGNETIC PROPERTIES AND CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF NONSTOICHIOMETRIC COMPOUNDS TbFe2MnX (0 ≤ X ≤ 0.4)
In this work, the magnetic properties and crystal structure of the TbFe2Mnx Laves phase were studied. It is shown that magnetic anisotropy constant Keff. decreases with increase of Mn content, while lattice constant increases.Работа выполнена при поддержке РФФИ (проект № 20-42-660008) и правительства Свердловской области
