    SU(2,1) Dynamics of Multiple Giant Dipole Resonance Coulomb Excitation

    We construct a three-dimensional analytically soluble model of the nonlinear effects in Coulomb excitation of multiphonon Giant Dipole Resonances (GDR) based on the SU(2,1) algebra. The full 3-dimensional model predicts further enhancement of the Double GDR (DGDR) cross sections at high bombarding energies. Enhancement factors for DGDR measured in thirteen different processes with various projectiles and targets at different bombarding energies are well reproduced with the same value of the nonlinearity parameter with the exception of the anomalous case of 136^{136}Xe which requires a larger value.Comment: 10 pages, 3 Postscript figures, late

    “Information Systems of Attendance Detection and Media Submission of Lecturer Announcement by Using Engineering Introduction QR Code "is an application that serves to support the process of disseminating information on the campus of Muhammadiyah University of Riau to become more effective and efficient and facilitate students in obtaining information. This application can be used by Lecturers and Students as recipient of information. The results of this study is a web-based application that can support the process of disseminating information on the campus of the University of Muhammadiyah Riau. The research was built using the Waterfall software development method, using UML to document, specify, and model the system. Implemented using PHP programming language using Laravel Framework and using MySQL database and other supporting software.“Sistem Informasi Deteksi Kehadiran Dan Media Penyampaian Pengumuman Dosen Dengan Menggunakan Teknik Pengenalan QR Code” adalah aplikasi yang berfungsi untuk mendukung proses penyebaran informasi di kampus Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau sehingga menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien serta mempermudah mahasiswa dalam mendapatkan informasi. Aplikasi ini dapat digunakan oleh Dosen dan Mahasiswa sebagai penerima informasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini merupakan sebuah aplikasi berbasis web yang dapat mendukung proses penyebaran informasi di kampus Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau. Penelitian ini dibangun menggunakan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak Waterfall, menggunakan UML untuk mendokumentasikan, menspesifikasikan, dan memodelkan sistem.     Anomalous anapole moment of an exotic nucleus

    Using the information on the nuclear structure of exotic neutron-rich halo nucleus 11^{11}Be, we evaluate the parity violating anapole moment in its ground state. The resulting value Îș(11\kappa(^{11}Be)=0.17=0.17 is fifteen times bigger than the typical value of the anapole moment of a normal nucleus of the same mass, and in fact exceeds by few times anapole moments of any known neutron-odd nuclei (e.g., kappa(^{11}Be) > 2|\kappa(^{207}Pb)|. It is also few times bigger than the neutral current contribution to the lepton-nucleus interaction.Comment: 12 pages, 2 figure

    Arguments against the requirement of a biological license application for human pancreatic islets: The position statement of the islets for us collaborative presented during the fda advisory committee meeting

    The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been regulating human islets for allo-transplantation as a biologic drug in the US. Consequently, the requirement of a biological license application (BLA) approval before clinical use of islet transplantation as a standard of care procedure has stalled the development of the field for the last 20 years. Herein, we provide our commentary to the multiple FDA’s position papers and guidance for industry arguing that BLA requirement has been inappropriately applied to allogeneic islets, which was delivered to the FDA Cellular, Tissue and Gene Therapies Advisory Committee on 15 April 2021. We provided evidence that BLA requirement and drug related regulations are inadequate in reassuring islet product quality and potency as well as patient safety and clinical outcomes. As leaders in the field of transplantation and endocrinology under the “Islets for US Collaborative” designation, we examined the current regulatory status of islet transplantation in the US and identified several anticipated negative consequences of the BLA approval. In our commentary we also offer an alternative pathway for islet transplantation under the regulatory framework for organ transplantation, which would address deficiencies of in current system
