Are you a caregiver infographic
After our 2018 Nursing-Interprofessional Salon that focused on older adults\u27 wellness, we formed the Are You a Caregiver Initiative. We developed an infographic to help individuals self-identify as a caregiver and to link them with available caregiver support resources. We plan to disseminate this infographic within the UMassMemorial system as well as surrounding environs. The infographic can be adapted for use in other communities as well
Geostatistical modeling and spatial distribution analysis of porosity and permeability in the Shurijeh-B reservoir of Khangiran gas field in Iran
The main objectives of this study are analysis of spatial behavior of the porosity and permeability, presenting direction of anisotropy for each variable and describing variation of these parameters in Shurijeh B gas reservoir in Khangiran gas field. Porosity well log data of 32 wells are available for performing this geostatistical analysis. A univariate statistical analysis is done on both porosity and permeability to provide a framework for geostatistical analysis and modeling. For spatial analysis of these parameters, the experimental semivariogram of each variable in different direction as well as their variogram map plotted to find out the direction of anisotropy and their geostatistical parameters such as range, sill, and nugget effect for later geostatistical work and finally for geostatistical modeling, two approaches kriging and Sequential Gaussian Simulation are used to get porosity and permeability maps through the entire reservoir. All of statistical and geostatistical analysis has been done using GSLIB and PETREL software. Maximum and minimum direction of continuity are found to be N75W and N15E, respectively. Geostatistical parameters of calculated semivariogram in this direction like range of 7000Â m and nugget of 0.2 are used for modeling. Both kriging and SGS method used for modeling but kriging tends to smooth out estimates but on the other hand SGS method tends to show up details. Cross-validation also used to validate the generated modeling
Expanding the parameters of academia
This paper draws on qualitative data gathered from two studies funded by the UK Leadership Foundation for Higher Education to examine the expansion of academic identities in higher education. It builds on Whitchurchâs earlier work, which focused primarily on professional staff, to suggest that the emergence of broadly based projects such as widening participation, learning support and community partnership is also impacting on academic identities. Thus, academic as well as professional staff are increasingly likely to work in multi-professional teams across a variety of constituencies, as well as with external partners, and the binary distinction between âacademicâ and ânon-academicâ roles and activities is no longer clear-cut. Moreover, there is evidence from the studies of an intentionality about deviations from mainstream academic career routes among respondents who could have gone either way. Consideration is therefore given to factors that influence individuals to work in more project-oriented areas, as well as to variables that affect ways in which these roles and identities develop. Finally, three models of academically oriented project activity are identified, and the implications of an expansion of academic identities are reviewed
Observation of exotic meson production in the reaction at 18 GeV/c
An amplitude analysis of an exclusive sample of 5765 events from the reaction
at 18 GeV/c is described. The
production is dominated by natural parity exchange and by
three partial waves: those with and . A
mass-dependent analysis of the partial-wave amplitudes indicates the production
of the meson as well as the meson, observed for the
first time decaying to . The dominant, exotic
(non- partial wave is shown to be resonant with a mass of
GeV/c^2 and a width of GeV/c^2 . This exotic state, the , is produced with a
dependence which is different from that of the meson, indicating

Partial-wave analysis of the eta pi+ pi- system produced in the reaction pi-p --> eta pi+ pi- n at 18 GeV/c
A partial-wave analysis of 9082 eta pi+ pi- n events produced in the reaction
pi- p --> eta pi+ pi- n at 18.3 GeV/c has been carried out using data from
experiment 852 at Brookhaven National Laboratory. The data are dominated by
J^{PC} = 0^{-+} partial waves consistent with observation of the eta(1295) and
the eta(1440). The mass and width of the eta(1295) were determined to be 1282
+- 5 MeV and 66 +- 13 Mev respectively while the eta(1440) was observed with a
mass of 1404 +- 6 MeV and width of 80 +- 21 MeV. Other partial waves of
importance include the 1++ and the 1+- waves. Results of the partial wave
analysis are combined with results of other experiments to estimate f1(1285)
branching fractions. These values are considerably different from current
values determined without the aid of amplitude analyses.Comment: 22 pages, 8 figure
Reliability and validity of three questionnaires measuring context-specific sedentary behaviour and associated correlates in adolescents, adults and older adults
BACKGROUND: Reliable and valid measures of total sedentary time, context-specific sedentary behaviour (SB) and its potential correlates are useful for the development of future interventions. The purpose was to examine test-retest reliability and criterion validity of three newly developed questionnaires on total sedentary time, context-specific SB and its potential correlates in adolescents, adults and older adults.
METHODS: Reliability and validity was tested in six different samples of Flemish (Belgium) residents. For the reliability study, 20 adolescents, 22 adults and 20 older adults filled out the age-specific SB questionnaire twice. Test-retest reliability was analysed using Kappa coefficients, Intraclass Correlation Coefficients and/or percentage agreement, separately for the three age groups. For the validity study, data were retrieved from 62 adolescents, 33 adults and 33 older adults, with activPAL as criterion measure. Spearman correlations and Bland-Altman plots (or non-parametric approach) were used to analyse criterion validity, separately for the three age groups and for weekday, weekend day and average day.
RESULTS: The test-retest reliability for self-reported total sedentary time indicated following values: ICC = 0.37-0.67 in adolescents; ICC = 0.73-0.77 in adults; ICC = 0.68-0.80 in older adults. Item-specific reliability results (e.g. context-specific SB and its potential correlates) showed good-to-excellent reliability in 67.94%, 68.90% and 66.38% of the items in adolescents, adults and older adults respectively. All items belonging to sedentary-related equipment and simultaneous SB showed good reliability. The sections of the questionnaire with lowest reliability were: context-specific SB (adolescents), potential correlates of computer use (adults) and potential correlates of motorized transport (older adults). Spearman correlations between self-reported total sedentary time and the activPAL were different for each age group: rho = 0.02-0.42 (adolescents), rho = 0.06-0.52 (adults), rho = 0.38-0.50 (older adults). Participants over-reported total sedentary time (except for weekend day in older adults) compared to the activPAL, for weekday, weekend day and average day respectively by +57.05%, +46.29%, +53.34% in adolescents; +40.40%, +19.15%, +32.89% in adults; +10.10%, -6.24%, +4.11% in older adults.
CONCLUSIONS: The questionnaires showed acceptable test-retest reliability and criterion validity. However, over-reporting of total SB was noticeable in adolescents and adults. Nevertheless, these questionnaires will be useful in getting context-specific information on SB

Asymmetry, realised volatility and stock return risk estimates
In this paper we estimate minimum capital risk requirements for short and long positions with three investment horizons, using the traditional GARCH model and two other GARCH-type models that incorporate the possibility of asymmetric responses of volatility to price changes. We also address the problem of the extremely high estimated persistence of the GARCH model to generate observed volatility patterns by including realised volatility as an explanatory variable into the modelâs variance equation. The results suggest that the inclusion of realised volatility improves the GARCH forecastability as well as its ability to calculate accurate minimum capital risk requirements and makes it quite competitive when compared with asymmetric conditional heteroscedastic models such as the GJR and the EGARCH.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
PSR J1907+0602: A Radio-Faint Gamma-Ray Pulsar Powering a Bright TeV Pulsar Wind Nebula
We present multiwavelength studies of the 106.6 ms gamma-ray pulsar PSR
J1907+06 near the TeV source MGRO J1908+06. Timing observations with Fermi
result in a precise position determination for the pulsar of R.A. =
19h07m547(2), decl. = +06:02:16(2) placing the pulsar firmly within the TeV
source extent, suggesting the TeV source is the pulsar wind nebula of PSR
J1907+0602. Pulsed gamma-ray emission is clearly visible at energies from 100
MeV to above 10 GeV. The phase-averaged power-law index in the energy range E >
0.1 GeV is = 1.76 \pm 0.05 with an exponential cutoff energy E_{c} = 3.6 \pm
0.5 GeV. We present the energy-dependent gamma-ray pulsed light curve as well
as limits on off-pulse emission associated with the TeV source. We also report
the detection of very faint (flux density of ~3.4 microJy) radio pulsations
with the Arecibo telescope at 1.5 GHz having a dispersion measure DM = 82.1 \pm
1.1 cm^{-3}pc. This indicates a distance of 3.2 \pm 0.6 kpc and a
pseudo-luminosity of L_{1400} ~ 0.035 mJy kpc^2. A Chandra ACIS observation
revealed an absorbed, possibly extended, compact <(4 arcsec) X-ray source with
significant non-thermal emission at R.A. = 19h07m54.76, decl. = +06:02:14.6
with a flux of 2.3^{+0.6}_{-1.4} X 10^{-14} erg cm^{-2} s^{-1}. From archival
ASCA observations, we place upper limits on any arcminute scale 2--10 keV X-ray
emission of ~ 1 X 10^{-13} erg cm^{-2} s^{-1}. The implied distance to the
pulsar is compatible with that of the supernova remnant G40.5-0.5, located on
the far side of the TeV nebula from PSR J1907+0602, and the S74 molecular cloud
on the nearer side which we discuss as potential birth sites
