    Literature is a writing that expresses life in words, and contains about a story or an experience that is created and consumed by human beings. One of literary works is novel. By reading novel we can understand the human being temper and acquire the new knowledge of life. That is why the writer of this thesis is interested in conducting and analyzing about suffering in Kay Gregory’s novel ‘Marry me Stranger’. This analysis is conducted to analyze suffering that is experienced by Isabella. The investigation is focused on Isabella’s suffering, the causes of Isabella’s suffering and the solution on Isabella’s suffering. This research uses descriptive method because the study is to describe or to give confirmation about suffering in Kay Gregory’s novel ‘Marry me Stranger’. Then, in appreciating Kay Gregory’s novel, the thesis writer uses an objective approach. It is based on studying a literary work itself that is only on suffering. The population of this study is the whole events in the novel ‘Marry me Stranger’ by Kay Gregory, while the sample of this study are paragraphs, dialogues, and quotations related to suffering. The result of this study shows that there are three sufferings that are experienced by Isabella, they are : being kept in the room, feeling jealous and feeling underestimated. Then, the causes of Isabella’s suffering are : refusal to marry, Brand’s memory of Mary and Brand’s business and being regarded as an immature woman. In solving the problem about Isabella’s suffering, Isabella overcomes her suffering by doing some ways that deal with each suffering, they are : running away, taking Brand’s attention and sympathy and moved to another place

    This research is motivated by the problem of dysgraphia children who often make mistakes in writing. This study aims to reduce writing errors assisted by interactive learning media in class II dysgraphia children at SD Negeri 060952 Medan. The type of research used is experimental research in the form of Single Subject Research (SSR) with an A-B-A design. The technical analysis of the data used is visual analysis of graphs, visual analysis of graphs. Research subjects are children who have difficulty learning to write (dysgraphia). The results of this study indicate that there is a reduction in writing errors in dysgraphia children. Children's writing errors decrease can be proven from the results of the analysis in conditions using a directional trend graph, where it can be seen that the trend towards the frequency of writing errors (omitting) of sentences with SPOK pattern decreases in the intervention phase (B), and decreases in the baseline phase (A2). The range of data obtained for baseline (A1) is 12–38, intervention (B) is 1-12 with a decrease in the level of change in the frequency of writing errors (omissions) of sentences with SPOK pattern in dysgraphia X children, then the stability of the data tendency is not stable. For the range of data obtained at baseline (A2), there are 1-4 frequencies with the level of change in reducing the frequency of writing errors (omitting) sentences with SPOK patterned children with dysgraphia X decreased. So, it can be concluded that interactive learning media is effective in reducing writing errors in class II dysgraphia children at SD Negeri 06095

    An Analysis of Word Formation Processes in Creating Food Brand Names Distributed in Toserba Borma Cipadung

    Word formation process as a part of morphology study is known can happen in many ways, one of them is in creating brand name. The purpose of this research was to analyze the word formation process in creating brand name of food products which are distributed in Toserba Borma Cipadung. This research ascertained the fact that there is a relationship between those brand names and word formation process. A qualitative research design was employed in this research. The data were obtained by asking for database directly to the head of Toserba Borma Cipadung. The data then selected into 70 products only with 7 categories of food; cereal, noodle, biscuit, snack, jelly, chocolate, and candy. However the fact indicated that there are 9 products that are not distributed anymore. So that the overall amount of data reduced to 61 products. The data that had been collected were analyzed for the word formation process that involve in creating brand names. The process of analyzing the data was done through identification, categorization, and discussion which explain the result widely from many sources such as by words and product’s packaging identification, advertisement, and internet research. The result of the study revealed that 60 products used word formation process in branding their product. From 61 samples of product there are 26 product can be categorized as compounding, 17 blending, 7 multiple process, 8 reduplication, 1 borrowing, and 1 onomatopoeia

Métode anu digunakeun dina ieu panalungtikan nya éta métode déskriptif, kalawan ngagunakeun téhnik studi pustaka, obsérvasi, wawancara, jeung dokuméntasi. Anapon instrumén anu digunakeun dina ngumpulkeun data nya éta kaméra, handphone jeung pedoman wawancara. Tina ieu panalungtikan kapaluruh, kahiji, asal-muasal ayana upacara ritual irung-irung minangka ucapan rasa sukur ka Gusti Nu Maha Suci sabab geus dibéré cai nu ngocor ngagolontor sanajan halodo entak-entakkan. Kadua, dina prak-prakan upacara ritual irung-irung kabagi jadi tilu nya éta pra ritual, prungna ritual, jeung pasca ritual. Katilu, unsur budaya dina upacara ritual irung-irung nya éta sistem réligi, sistem kamasarakatan atawa organisasi sosial, sistem pangaweruh, basa, kasenian, sistem pakasaban atawa sistem ékonomi, jeung sistem pakakas hirup atawa téhnologi. Kaopat, ajén budaya dina upacara ritual irung-irung nya éta ajén moral, ajén ékonomi, ajén éstétika, ajén sosial, jeung ajén agama. Kalima, upacara ritual irung-irung bisa dijadikeun salah sahiji alternatif bahan pangajaran bahasan budaya Sunda di kelas XI SMA. ;---Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) sejarah dan perkembangan upacara ritual irung-irung, (2) pelaksanaan upacara ritual irung-irung, (3) unsur budaya yang terdapat pada upacara ritual irung-irung, (4) nilai budaya yang terdapat pada upacara ritual irung-irung, (5) menerapkan hasil penelitian untuk bahan pembelajaran bahasan budaya Sunda di kelas XI SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, dengan menggunakan teknik studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yaitu kamera, handphone, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini yang pertama, tumbuhnya upacara ritual irung-irung sebagai ucapan rasa syukur kepada Allah SWT yang telah memberikan air yang berlimpah walaupun kemarau. Kedua, pelaksanaan upacara ritual irung-irung terbagi menjadi tiga bagian, yaitu sebelum ritual dilaksanakan, ketika ritual berlangsung, dan sesudah ritual dilaksanakan. Ketiga, unsur budaya pada upacara ritual irung-irung yaitu sistem religi, sistem kemasyarakatan atau organisasi sosial, sistem pengetahuan, bahasa, kesenian, sistem mata pencaharian hidup atau sistem ekonomi, dan sistem peralatan hidup atau teknologi. Keempat, nilai budaya pada upacara ritual irung-irung yaitu nilai moral, nilai ékonomi, nilai estetika, nilai sosial, dan nilai agama. Kelima, upacara ritual irung-irung bisa dijadikan salah satu alternatif bahan pembelajaran bahasan budaya Sunda di kelas XI SMA. ;---This research aims to describe (1) The history and development of irung-irung tradition ceremony, (2) the existence of irung-irung tradition ceremony, (3) a cultural element in irung-irung tradition ceremony, (4) the culture value in irung-irung tradition ceremony, and (5) the implementation of the research result in learning materials of sundanese culture in the class XI Senior High School. The approach of this research is a descriptive method which supported with literature review techniques, observations, interviews, and documentations. The instruments are supported by several tools, includes a camera, a mobile phone, and interview guidelines. Furthermore, first, the result of this research are the development of irung-irung tradition ceremony as an act of thanksgiving to God who has given water in the dry season. Second, the existence of irung-irung tradition ceremony divided into three parts, which are, the pre-implementation of tradition, the moment when tradition was held, and the condition after the implementation of tradition. Third, the cultural elements in irung-irung tradition ceremony are religious, community or social organization system, knowledge, language, arts, livelihood or economic system, and living equipment or technology system. Fourth, culture value of irung-irung tradition ceremony, there are moral value, economy value, aesthetics value, social value, and religion value. Fifth, irung-irung tradition ceremony can be used as an alternative learning materials Sundanese culture in the class XI Senior High School

    PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA BERBASIS STOP MOTION UNTUK KELAS IV SD

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis stop motion pada pokok bahasan pecahan kelas IV. Penelitian pendahuluan dilakukan di dua sekolah dasar yang berada di Jakarta Timur. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE dengan tahapan yang sistematis yaitu Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Produk media ini divalidasi oleh tiga ahli media, tiga ahli materi, tiga ahli bahasa, dan sepuluh peserta didik. Dari hasil uji validasi diperoleh nilai rata-rata keseluruhan ahli media adalah 85,78%, rata-rata keseluruhan ahli materi adalah 96,42%, rata-rata keseluruhan ahli bahasa 93,05%, dan rata-rata keseluruhan respon peserta didik adalah 83,74%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka media yang dikembangakan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik dan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika

    Masalah kemiskinan dan pengangguran di Kabupaten Gowa, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan merupakan salah satu perhatian pokok pemerintah daerah. Meskipun angka pengangguran di daerah ini telah mengalami penurunan, namun persoalan pengentasan kemiskinan masih belum sesuai yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek belanja pemerintah di sektor pendidikan, belanja pemerintah di sektor kesehatan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap pengangguran di Kabupaten Gowa. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan data sekunder berupa time series mulai dari tahun 2006-2021 diperoleh dari Direktorat Jenderal Perimbangan Keuangan (DJPK) kementrian keuangan dan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kabupaten Gowa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel belanja pemerintah sektor Pendidikan, Kesehatan, dan pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pengangguran, dan kemiskinan di Kabupaten Gowa. Sedangkan variabel belanja pemerintah sektor pendidikan berpengaruh negative, dan signifikan terhadap Kemiskinan melalui pengangguran. Lain halnya dengan variabel belanja pemerintah sektor kesehatan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemiskinan melalui pengangguran. Variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap Kemiskinan melalui pengangguran. Variabel pengangguran berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemiskinan di Kabupaten Gowa. Pemerintah daerah diharapkan dapat mengupayakan pengentasan kemiskinan dengan merancang berbagai kebijakan, program dan mengalokasikan belanja pemerintah sehingga dapat digunakan secara efektif dan dapat terdistribusi dengan tepat, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan menurunkan kemiskina

    This study was carried out in 2012 in the Faculty of Music, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam. The scope of study focuses on Diploma and Degree music students, whose majoring voice as their principal studies during the period of their programs. This study was initiated basing on feedback from the respondents with regarding the importance of diction. The main objectives of this study are; 1) to explore voice major's perception on the importance and benefits of learning diction; and 2) To investigate the causes that make students lack of diction knowledge in their learning process. Analysis was done using the manual calculation. This study concluded that most of the respondents realize that diction is important in their performance; however the lack of knowledge causes the problem. With encouragement by the lecturers and the faculty, the students are motivated to learn diction and aware about the importance of diction

    Analysis of Factors Affecting Human Development Index in Special Regional of Yogyakarta

    This study aims to analyze the factors affecting the Human Development Index in the Special Regional of Yogyakarta. This study uses secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Regional Asset Financial Management Agency (BPKAD) in the Special Regional of Yogyakarta, namely Yogyakarta City, Sleman Regency, Bantul Regency, Kulon Progo Regency, and Gunung Kidul Regency in 2013- 2018. Meanwhile, the analysis tools used in the study used the Panel Data Method with the Fixed Effect Model approach. This study indicates that the Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) and government spending in the health sector positively and significantly affect the Human Development Index. Government spending in the education sector has a negative and insignificant effect on the Human Development Index (HDI)
