Operators manual for the magnetograph program (section 2)

    Get PDF
This manual for use of the magnetograph program describes: (1) black box use of the programs; (2) the magtape data formats used; (3) the adjustable control parameters in the program; and (4) the algorithms. With no adjustments on the control parameters this program may be used purely as a black box. For optimal use, however, the control parameters may be varied. The magtape data formats are of use in adopting other programs to look at raw data or final magnetograph data

Individual Insurance: Health Insurers Try to Tap Potential Market Growth

Examines the challenges the current individual health insurance market poses for insurers and consumers, the market's growth potential, market and regulatory conditions across states, and trends in marketing strategies. Considers policy implications

General Hospitals, Specialty Hospitals and Financially Vulnerable Patients

Resistance to temephos as a larvicide of A. aegyptimosquitoes has occurred in Indonesia. Therefore, it is necessary to look for other active compounds that can act as larvicides, but also environmentally friendly. This study used leaf and roots extract of T. erectahexane and acetone fraction as larvicide. The process begins with drying followed by extracting samples (leaves and roots of T. erecta) each with hexane and acetone solvents. Test solutions were made with a concentration of 0, 0.0075, 0.015, 0.03, and 0.1% (w/v) of the extract produced. Larvicide test was carried out referring to WHOPES by observing the mortality of instar larvae 3 and 4 in each extract. The results obtained showed the mortality percentage of larvae increased with increasing concentration and exposure time in both types of larvae. The lowest LC 50 was obtained from the root extract of hexane fraction (37 ppm) for 3rd instar larvae and acetone fraction (61 ppm) for instar 4 larvae. Keywords: Larvae, A. aegypti, T. erecta. Kata kunci: Larva,A. aegypti, T. erecta. Fraks

Analisis Pengaruh Bauran Pemasaran 7p terhadap Kepuasan Pelanggan Pengguna Gojek Online

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of seven elements of marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion, people, process and physical evidence) on customer satisfaction of GOJEK users. Data were collected from 90 customers residing in South Jakarta using self-reporting questionnaires. Factor analysis is used to validate the instrument and regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. The results showed that although the elements of the marketing mix simultaneously significant effect on customer satisfaction, however partially, only the product have a significant effect on customer satisfaction (p-value 0.045). Based on these findings, the future research needs to re-examine the influence of marketing mix elements on customer satisfaction, in particular, transport mode users GOJEK by increasing the sample size and expanding the area of research so that research results can be generalized. Balltracking: an highly efficient method for tracking flow fields

    Get PDF
We present a method for tracking solar photospheric flows that is highly efficient, and demonstrate it using high resolution MDI continuum images. The method involves making a surface from the photospheric granulation data, and allowing many small floating tracers or balls to be moved around by the evolving granulation pattern. The results are tested against synthesised granulation with known flow fields and compared to the results produced by Local Correlation tracking (LCT). The results from this new method have similar accuracy to those produced by LCT. We also investigate the maximum spatial and temporal resolution of the velocity field that it is possible to extract, based on the statistical properties of the granulation data. We conclude that both methods produce results that are close to the maximum resolution possible from granulation data. The code runs very significantly faster than our similarly optimised LCT code, making real time applications on large data sets possible. The tracking method is not limited to photospheric flows, and will also work on any velocity field where there are visible moving features of known scale length

Increasing the Fine Structure Visibility of the Hinode SOT Ca II H Filtergrams

We present the improved so-called Madmax (OMC) operator selecting maxima of convexities computed in multiple directions around each pixel rewritten in MatLab and shown to be very efficient for pattern recognition. The aim of the algorithm is to trace the bright hair-like features (for ex. chromospheric thin jets or spicules) of solar ultimate observations polluted by a noise of different origins. This popular spatial operator uses the second derivative in the optimally selected direction for which its absolute value has a maximum value. Accordingly, it uses the positivity of the resulting intensity signal affected by a superposed noise. The results are illustrated using a test artificially generated image and real SOT (Hinode) images are also used, to make your own choice of the sensitive parameters to use in improving the visibility of images.Comment: 12 pages, 3 figurs, submitted in Solar Physic
