    Research the phytoplankton dynamics regimes depending on nutrient transformation processes in coastal systems

    The paper describes the construction of a three-dimensional mathematical model of biogeochemical processes, considering the salinity and temperature influence on the phytoplankton populations’ development. The paper proposes a new difference scheme for solving convection-diffusion-reaction problems at large values of the Peclet grid number (2<Pe≤20), which is a linear combination of the central and the upwind leapfrog difference schemes. The three-layer difference scheme is more accurate than the traditional upwind leapfrog difference scheme for problems where convection prevails over diffusion. The construction of discrete equations for solving the problem of biogeochemical cycles on the basis of the scheme considering the filling of cells is described. The stationary regimes of phytoplankton dynamics problem were researched considering the transformation of phosphorus, nitrogen and silicon forms. Results of software complex, which allows to simulate biogeochemical processes in the Azov Sea, were described. The software package allows to forecast the dynamics of the Azov Sea ecosystem development in the conditions of modern salinization.The reported study was funded by RFBR, project number 20-01-00421

    Risk profiles and one-year outcomes of patients with newly diagnosed atrial fibrillation in India: Insights from the GARFIELD-AF Registry.

    BACKGROUND: The Global Anticoagulant Registry in the FIELD-Atrial Fibrillation (GARFIELD-AF) is an ongoing prospective noninterventional registry, which is providing important information on the baseline characteristics, treatment patterns, and 1-year outcomes in patients with newly diagnosed non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF). This report describes data from Indian patients recruited in this registry. METHODS AND RESULTS: A total of 52,014 patients with newly diagnosed AF were enrolled globally; of these, 1388 patients were recruited from 26 sites within India (2012-2016). In India, the mean age was 65.8 years at diagnosis of NVAF. Hypertension was the most prevalent risk factor for AF, present in 68.5% of patients from India and in 76.3% of patients globally (P < 0.001). Diabetes and coronary artery disease (CAD) were prevalent in 36.2% and 28.1% of patients as compared with global prevalence of 22.2% and 21.6%, respectively (P < 0.001 for both). Antiplatelet therapy was the most common antithrombotic treatment in India. With increasing stroke risk, however, patients were more likely to receive oral anticoagulant therapy [mainly vitamin K antagonist (VKA)], but average international normalized ratio (INR) was lower among Indian patients [median INR value 1.6 (interquartile range {IQR}: 1.3-2.3) versus 2.3 (IQR 1.8-2.8) (P < 0.001)]. Compared with other countries, patients from India had markedly higher rates of all-cause mortality [7.68 per 100 person-years (95% confidence interval 6.32-9.35) vs 4.34 (4.16-4.53), P < 0.0001], while rates of stroke/systemic embolism and major bleeding were lower after 1 year of follow-up. CONCLUSION: Compared to previously published registries from India, the GARFIELD-AF registry describes clinical profiles and outcomes in Indian patients with AF of a different etiology. The registry data show that compared to the rest of the world, Indian AF patients are younger in age and have more diabetes and CAD. Patients with a higher stroke risk are more likely to receive anticoagulation therapy with VKA but are underdosed compared with the global average in the GARFIELD-AF. A necessary component of construction activity is the enterprises for the production of building materials using a wide range of chemical compounds that annually enter the atmosphere, water bodies, groundwater, soil in the form of industrial emissions, affecting the environmental situation. The construction industry is also impossible to imagine without the use of vehicles, the operation of which is impossible without fuel that absorbs oxygen and emits exhaust gases containing heavy metals in their composition. From the environment dangerous substances enter the human body through the skin, inhaled air, food and eventually cause its functional changes. Exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations heavy metals can have a toxic effect on the human body, so it is necessary to measure their concentration in the air of Krasnoyarsk city regularly. The most common heavy metals entering the atmosphere as a result of industrial emissions include lead, mercury, cadmium, zinc. Lead has a toxic effect, it accumulates in kidneys, liver and other vital organs, gradually leading to disruption of the entire body functioning. Mercury has a toxic effect on the human body, animals and natural components; it is widely used in various industries and a part of a number of pesticides. Cadmium is a chemical element with toxic properties exceeding the properties of lead. It easily passes from soil to plants. Zinc is widely used in the production of paint products, medicine and printing. In case of excessive intake by the body it has a carcinogenic effect

    Клинико-иммуноморфологические особенности повреждений печени при тяжелой преэклампсии

    Background.Liver diseases associated with pregnancy are recorded in 0.73% of pregnant women, often accompanied by the development of hepatic dysfunction/insufficiency, and are the cause of increased morbidity and mortality in both mother and child. A pathomorphological study helps to understand the pathophysiology of severe liver damage in preeclampsia, and to optimize the management of such patients.Aims to study the clinical, morphological and immunohistochemical features of liver tissue lesions in the most severe forms of preeclampsia and eclampsia, which ended in death.Methods.Autopsy material analysis of 10 patients who died from preeclampsia, eclampsia and their complications (main group) and 3 patients who died from other causes (comparison group). Pathomorphological and immunohistochemical studies of organs and tissues (in particular, liver tissue) were performed using a marker of neurons and neuroendocrine cells -NSE and a marker of endotheliocytes CD-34.Results.An immunohistochemical study with a CD-34 endotheliocyte marker in the main group revealed a vascularization deficiency in the 2nd and 3rd zone of hepatic acini, there were also foci of necrosis. Such changes indicate deep and prolonged hypoperfusion. The use of the NSE marker in the group of patients who died from preeclampsia/eclampsia revealed a sharp increase in Kupffer cells in the first and second zones of acini with pronounced immunoexpression of NSE in the nuclei and cytoplasm of these cells, which indicates severe hepatic dysfunction (in particular, impaired detoxification and elimination functions of the liver). At the same time, only 3 out of 10 women in the main group are clinically registered with HELLP syndrome, while the rest had signs of multiple organ (including acute liver) failure.Conclusions.The clinical symptoms of liver damage, including those with severe preeclampsia, arise, as a rule, already against the background of severe morphological changes in its tissue and, as a rule, indicate functional decompensation. Liver immunology remains little studied, which requires further research on this problem.Обоснование.Заболевания печени, связанныесбеременностью, регистрируютсяу0,73% беременных, часто сопровождаются развитием печеночной дисфункции/недостаточностииявляются причиной повышенной заболеваемостиисмертностикакматери, такиребенка.
