El amor como captura de la verdad: Un análisis crítico desde la filosofía de Alain Badiou y Slavoj Žižek a la propuesta del psicólogo Robert Epstein

Esta investigación propone ofrecer una mirada crítica desde las perspectivas psicológicas, sociológicas y filosóficas al dilema del amor. Dentro de los amplios márgenes sobre los cuales se ha edificado la presente revisión, tanto a nivel conceptual y teórico a lo largo se configura un debate que sigue las coordenadas en torno a la diversidad de teorías del amor que han aparecido en nuestra época, las cuales buscan analizar y estudiar el fenómeno amoroso en las sociedades contemporáneas. A saber, desde el inicio del recorrido, el giro critico se dirige hacia la propuesta psicologizante del amor que el psicólogo Robert Epstein difunde como el futuro del amor. A continuación, se problematiza a propósito de la posibilidad de un anudamiento entre la filosofía, la política y el amor, indagando en las lineas de pensamiento de los filósofos Alain Badiou y Slavoj Žižek

Rethinking the concept of justice as an fairness and veil of ignorance in John Rawls since ethical pluralism

To examine the relationship between the concept of justice as an fairness and the veil of ignorance exposed by John Rawls within the transdisciplinarity of ethical pluralism, is transcendental in times where democracy, freedom and social contract are imperceptible tools for the domine doctrine of violence synthesized as neoliberalism. So there are three implications: The first analyzes equitable justice, considering that it is the first virtue of social institutions since the origin of the social contract developed by Hobbes, Locke, and Rousseau with certain structural modifications. The second examines how the original position as an abstract category should be operated under the veil of ignorance which in turn is formulated to ensure the fairness of justice. And the third tracks how ethical pluralism becomes an alternative to the gaps left by the philosopher in treatment, bearing in mind that each society has different moral systems for establishing justice and understanding the category of social contract.Examinar la relación entre el concepto de justicia como equidad y velo de ignorancia como lo expuso John Rawls, dentro de la transdisciplinariedad del pluralismo ético, resulta trascendental en tiempos en que la democracia, la libertad y el contrato social son imperceptibles herramientas para la doctrina dominante de la violencia sintetizada como neoliberalismo. Al respecto, se presentan tres derivaciones. La primera analiza la justicia equitativa, considerando que es la primera virtud de las instituciones sociales desde el origen del contrato social desarrollado por Hobbes, Locke y Rousseau, con ciertas modificaciones estructurales. La segunda examina de qué forma la posición original como categoría abstracta debe ser operada bajo el velo de ignorancia, que a su vez está formulada para garantizar la equidad de la justicia. Y la tercera rastrea cómo el pluralismo ético se vuelve una alternativa frente a los vacíos dejados por el filósofo en tratamiento, teniendo en cuenta que cada sociedad cuenta con diferentes sistemas morales para establecer justicia y comprender la categoría de contrato social

This monograph of Revista Guillermo de Ockham, a journal edited by Universidad de San Buenaventura Cali, Colombia, deals with the fundamental question that gravitates in all its pages: is there a political unconscious? The answer is addressed by each of the authors of this publication, who from epistemological, methodological, and theoretical-conceptual horizons —on some occasions located in specific cultural contexts— rigorously presented their different arguments, evidencing their social and academic relevance along the way. Their views not only considered the question about the existence of a political unconscious, but also about its thoughtful applicability in the human and social sciences, such as philosophy, economics, psychoanalysis, as well as in cultural and feminist issues, topics that are part of this number.Este número de la Revista Guillermo de Ockham, de la Universidad San Buenaventura Cali, Colombia, empieza a dar cuenta de la pregunta fundamental que gravita en todas sus páginas: ¿hay un inconsciente político? Tema abordado por cada uno de los autores de la presente publicación y quienes desde horizontes epistemológicos, metodológicos y teóricos-conceptuales –en algunas ocasiones situados en contextos culturales específicos–, presentaron con rigor sus distintos argumentos, evidenciando a su paso su pertinencia social y académica. Intersectionalities of the Left and Right in Latin America and Europe. An exploration of contemporary political processes

The current rise of new right-wing groups with a particular combination of intransigent economic liberalism and conservative nationalist fascism, a kind of liberfascism, advocates for both a strict apology for the capitalist market and the exclusion of anything that challenges its model in the political and cultural spheres. Based on the populist discourse that exploits the discontent caused by neoliberal democracy, they gain followers for nationalist, cultural, and racist reasons that in the end are nothing more than right-wing deception to protect the rule of capital. Faced with the restoration of an already exhausted neoliberal model, an intersectionality appears between the Left and the Right which, far from confirming the diagnosis of the end of ideologies and the deactivation of the class struggle, rekindles conflicts over capital. This article deals with such a situation. It argues how intersectionality is not a privilege of the Left, but is also used by the extreme populist Right to channel discontent and propagate its particular brand of oppression. It is concluded, based on examples of struggles in Latin America and Europe, that an intersectional and transversal politics must be developed in the face of the hegemony of the new populist and nationalist Right; the political tactic must not be local, but must pursue a new international strategy

Returning to the Past to Rethink Socio-Political Antagonisms: Mapping Today’s Situation in Regards to Popular Insurrections

This article seeks to elaborate a map or cartogram based on a number of protests and social mobilizations that took place in different parts of the world -mainly in Latin America, but also in Europe and Asia. Beyond the data and figures available from various sources, which never speak for themselves, an interpretation is proposed here to reveal the meaning of these events. In other words, by displaying a map of these social movements, the authors propose not only the visualization of a collection of data, but also an illumination of these events in the light of history. From there, the authors offer hypothetical predictions. These predictions allow the authors to consider the lessons that, sometimes, seem to be forgotten or are not learned yet

Psychometric network analysis of the Patient Health Questionnaire-4 (PHQ-4) in Paraguayan general population

Background: Depression and anxiety are two of the most prevalent and disabling mental disorders worldwide, both in the general population and in outpatient clinical settings. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the psychometric properties of the Patient Health Questionnaire-4 (PHQ-4) based on network analysis metrics. Methods: A total of 911 Paraguayans (23.71% women and 76.29% men; mean age 31.25 years, SD = 10.63), selected by non-probabilistic convenience sampling, participated in the study. Network analysis was used to evaluate the internal structure, reliability, and measurement invariance between men and women. Results: The results revealed that the PHQ-4 is a unidimensional measure through Exploratory Graph Analysis (EGA). Reliability, through structural consistency, identified that 100% of the time, only a single dimension was obtained, and all items remained stable, as they were always replicated within the empirical dimension. The unidimensional structure has shown evidence of configural invariance; therefore, the network structure functioned equally among the different sex groups. Conclusion: The PHQ-4 presented optimal preliminary evidence of validity based on its internal structure, reliability, and invariance between sexes. Therefore, it may be useful as an accurate and brief measure of anxiety and depressive symptoms in the Paraguayan context

El presente artículo ofrece una amplia discusión sobre lo que es política, psicoanálisis y violencia. Desde estos tres conceptos y la concepción de diferentes autores se invita a reflexionar sobre el proceso histórico que se vive en Chile desde el pasado 18 de octubre del 2019. Después de reflexionar sobre los límites de la psicología, el dilema de lo humano se profundiza en las diferentes y/o nuevas formas de violencia que parecen normalizarse a propósito de las mismas manifestaciones desarrolladas en el país. El objetivo es que el lector, desde esta variabilidad de concepciones que se encuentran reunidas en el escrito, reflexiones, critique y halle la perspectiva que le haga más sentido, respecto de lo que acontece en Chile

Alain Badiou, une vie et un système de pensée: vers une opération historique de défense de sa contribution à l'histoire des idées au XXIe siècle

"L'histoire des idees", has a nominal existence in the period of the Enlightenment, that is to say, it has its origins in the 19th century in France. From the moment of its appearance and establishment as an independent field, it maintained a close and complementary relationship with philosophy. At present, the History of Ideas is a field in dialogue with History, Historiography, Philosophy and even Psychoanalysis. It is necessary to return to the French intellectual terrain, to the living history and intellectual production of our time in order to analyze the contribution that French philosophers make to the history of Ideas in the 21st century. Specifically, to pay special attention to the system of thought created by the philosopher Alain Badiou. The present document, which emerges as an initial and introductory kick-off to a more complex project, is a general reading and analysis of some of Badiou's contributions to contemporary philosophy.“L´histoire des idees”, tiene una existencia nominal en el periodo de la Ilustración, es decir,  tiene sus orígenes en el siglo XIX en Francia. Desde el momento de su aparición e instauración como un campo independiente mantuvo una estrecha y complementaria relación con la filosofía. En la actualidad la Historia de las Ideas es un campo en dialogo con la Historia, La Historiografía, la Filosofía e incluso el Psicoanálisis. Es necesario retornar al terreno intelectual francés, a la historia viva y producción intelectual de nuestra época para analizar la contribución que los filósofos francés realizan a la historia de las Ideas del siglo XXI. En especifico, poner una atención especial al sistema de pensamiento creado por el Filósofo Alain Badiou. El presente documento, emerge como puntapié inicial e introductorio a un proyecto más complejo, es una lectura y análisis general de algunas contribuciones que Badiou realiza a la filosofía contemporánea."L'histoire des idées a une existence nominale dans la période des Lumières, c'est-à-dire qu'elle a ses origines dans la France du 19ème siècle. Dès son émergence et son établissement en tant que domaine indépendant, elle a entretenu une relation étroite et complémentaire avec la philosophie. Aujourd'hui, l'histoire des idées est un domaine en dialogue avec l'histoire, l'historiographie, la philosophie et même la psychanalyse. Il est nécessaire de revenir sur le terrain intellectuel français, sur l'histoire vivante et la production intellectuelle de notre temps pour analyser la contribution des philosophes français à l'histoire des idées au XXIe siècle. Plus précisément, il convient d'accorder une attention particulière au système de pensée créé par le philosophe Alain Badiou. Le présent document, qui se présente comme un coup d'envoi initial et introductif d'un projet plus complexe, est une lecture et une analyse générales de certaines contributions de Badiou à la philosophie contemporaine

In this paper, we seek to draw new lines of demarcation in relation to the debates concerning both Philosophy and Psychoanalysis. Through the historical trajectory of the psychoanalytic movement, the reader is shown the importance of disciplinary mixtures. Namely, interdisciplinary dialogues that psychoanalysis in its theory and practice maintained since early times. It is proposed to think Psychoanalysis and Philosophy as a knot that finds its usefulness and responsibility in the social and political field. That is to say, the mixture and the collision between the conceptual machineries of both fields of knowledge contribute to think and analyze the situation of our century.En el presente documento, se busca trazar nuevas líneas de demarcación en relación con los los debates que conciernen tanto a la Filosofía como al Psicoanálisis. Mediante el recorrido histórico del movimiento psicoanalítico, se evidencia al lector la importancia de las mixturas disciplinarias. A saber, diálogos interdisciplinarios que el psicoanálisis en su teoría y práctica mantuvo desde temprana data. Se propone pensar al Psicoanálisis y la Filosofía como un nudo que encuentra su utilidad y responsabilidad en el terreno de lo social y lo político.
