Requirements for developing ethical leaderships in Vietnam

    Get PDF
Challenges associated with leadership practices are rapidly increasing, thereby assigning more qualities to leaders. One of the recent theoretical issues that interest many scholars is ethical leadership development, using industrial revolution 4.0. This method does not only follow the traditional leadership styles, rather it is associated with universal qualities such as respect, service, fairness, honesty, and responsibility. For communities, increasing assertions is one of the essential foundations used to help leaders influence their subordinates' actions. This means that ethical leadership is the motto of the spirit of service leadership, especially for Vietnam leaders, a country with a strong transformation from a planned economy to a socialist-oriented market. Therefore, leadership values need to be adjusted, supplemented, and developed to keep up with the Industrial Revolution's requirements 4.0

On tracking control problem for polysolenoid motor model predictive approach

    Get PDF
The Polysolenoid Linear Motor (PLM) have been playing a crucial role in many industrial aspects due to its functions, in which a straight motion is provided directly without mediate mechanical actuators. Recently, with several commons on mathematic model, some control methods for PLM based on Rotational Motor have been applied, but position, velocity and current constraints which are important in real systems have been ignored. In this paper, position tracking control problem for PLM was considered under state-independent disturbances via min-max model predictive control. The proposed controller forces tracking position errors converge to small region of origin and satisfies state including position, velocity and currents constraints. Further, a numerical simulation was implemented to validate the performance of the proposed controller

An approximate method for analysing non-linear systems subject to random excitation

    Get PDF
A solution technique based on the representation of the response of the non-linear system by a polynomial of the response of the linearized system is presented. The relation between the original non-linear system and the linearized system is introduced by considering the so-called extended moment equations and their closed set is to be solved to determine unknowns. For the Vanderpol oscillator subject to white noise excitation, the technique gives good approximation to the response moments as well as the probability density function

File System Simulation: Hierarchical Performance Measurement and Modeling

    Get PDF
File systems are very important components in a computer system. File system simulation can help to predict the performance of new system designs. It offers the advantages of the flexibility of modeling and the cost and time savings of utilizing simulation instead of full implementation. Being able to predict end-to-end file system performance against a pre-defined workload can help system designers to make decisions that could affect their entire product line, involving several million dollars of investment. This dissertation presents detailed simulation-based performance models of the Linux ext3 file system and the PVFS parallel file system. The models are developed using Colored Petri Nets. A performance study, using the models, shows that the obtained results are close to the expected behavior of the real file system. The model shows that file system parameters have significant impact on the performance of the I/O when compared to the parameters of the disk subsystem

An Empirical Study of Principals' Leadership Styles with Faculty Commitment

    Get PDF
Objectives: The objectives of this study were to explore the leadership styles of political school principals and the influence of leadership styles on faculty committees, as well as the influence of leadership styles on faculty-directed demographic variables. Methods/Analysis: This study uses a quantitative method to identify the leadership styles that exist in principals of political schools. The collected data is analyzed and processed in the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26.0. The available test of Avolio and Bass to explore leadership styles, the test developed by Meyer and Allen is used to measure faculty commitment. Findings: Transformative leadership styles, transactional leadership styles, and laissez-faire leadership styles all have statistically significant positive correlations with faculty commitment. Novelty/Improvement: The laissez-faire leadership style had the strongest influence on faculty commitment, followed by the transformational leadership style. The least influential leadership style was the transactional leadership style. When lecturers have confidence and initiative, being able to make their own decisions and implement them, they will be more creative to achieve leadership performance. The research results are only shown within the provincial political schools of Vietnam. Future studies may select a broader sample of subjects in many educational institutions of a different kind. Doi: 10.28991/ESJ-2022-06-03-013 Full Text: PD

Optimization of technological parameters in ultrasonic welding of the polypropylene fabric using Taguchi and FCCCD methods

    Get PDF
Ultrasonic welding is a welding method that has been applied for welding nonwoven fabrics, with many advantages such as fast speed, high reliability, easy automation and especially less pollution to the environment. This paper studies the optimization of technological parameters in the welding process such as welding time, pressure, and weld shape on the breaking strength of ultrasonic welding of Polypropylene (PP) nonwovens. To evaluate the influence level and find the reasonable technological parameters domain in the paper, the Taguchi method is used in combination with the face-centered central composite design (FCCCD) response surface method. The research results have determined the regression equations used to calculate the breaking strength for each weld shape as well as the optimal domain for the main technological parameters, ensuring the breaking strength of the weld. There are different degrees of influence of technological parameters (shape of the weld zone, welding time and welding pressure) on the breaking strength of ultrasonic welds. Among them, the influence level of welding time t is 45.31 %, the weld shape is Pattern 2 with the rate of 30.03 %, and the welding pressure is 24.66 %. Carrying out a verification test with the welding parameters: t=1.6 s, p=3.1 kgf/cm2, two patterns ( Pattern 2 and Pattern 3), the result of breaking strength for patterns was achieved. Pattern 2 has a difference of 1.19 % between the regression equation results and the actual experimental results, while the figure for Pattern 3 is 0.77 %. From these results, it is possible to select the appropriate technological parameters for ultrasonic welding equipment when processing products from nonwoven fabrics to ensure the highest quality and productivit

Isolation and determination of Vibrio spp. pathogen from Sciaenops ocellatus suffering from hemorrhagic disease under cage culture in Vietnam

    Get PDF
This study was carried out to isolate and determine the Vibrio spp. from the Red drum fish (Sciaenops ocellatus) suffering from the hemorrhagic disease in Vietnam.  In this study, 18 strains of Vibrio bacteria were identified from 27 samples of Red drum fish. The isolated bacterial strains were identified with the 16S rRNA sequencing method and checked for morphological, physiological, and biochemical characteristics by using the API 20E KIT. Results of the study revealed the presence of twelve strains of V. alginolyticus, three strains of V. fluvialis, and three strains of V. orientalis. All Vibrio strains have gene similarities with those on the Genbank ranging from 98.05 to 100%. The biochemical characteristics of these 18 isolates were similar and these are susceptible to tetracycline and doxycycline and entirely resistant to ampicillin, amoxicillin, and erythromycin

The linear invariants (dn ) and (Ω) for spaces of germs of holomorphic functions on compact subsets of Cn

    Get PDF
For a compact subset K of Cn, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for [H(K)]0 to have the property (DN), and similarly for the property (Ω). We also show that H(D) is isomorphic to H(∆ n), where ∆n is the unit polydisc in Cn and D is any bounded Reinhardt domain in Cn. This last result requires a generalization of the classical Hartogs phenomenon
