    At Aceh and North Sumatra, December 26, 2004, earthquake and tsunami happened cause many people died as victims, many houses destructed and losing wealth. Morte than 100 thousands of people died. At Nabire, Papua, February 7, 2004, at least 35 people became the victims of consecutive earthquake, those did at Padang Panjang Western Sumatra, 21 of February 2004. This article tries to describe the efforts how to overcome psychological conditions of earthquake victims and to incresase the preparation to help them.     MODEL OF EVERYONE IS A TEACHER HERE: SOLUTION TO BUILD UP STUDENTS’ SELF-CONFIDENCE

    Abstract: Self-confidence is an important aspect in dealing with learning processes at a university level. The current study aimed at qualitatively investigating the contributions of a learning model so-called “Everyone is a Teacher Here” (EITH) to the improvement of tertiary students’ self-confidence in learning. 30 students from Islamic Education Department at IAIN Curup were purposively engaged as the participants. Their self-confidence improvement was scrutinized using observation and in-depth interviews. The data revealed that EITH model was positively contributive to the improvement of students’ self-confidence in learning. In this respect, the students experienced improvements in terms of their courage to argue, ask, and answer questions. They also experienced improvements in terms of abilities to elaborate learning materials resting upon their confidence. The improvements of their confidence are also associated with the increases in learning responsibility and achievements.Keywords: self-confidence, learning, the model of everyone is a teacher hereAbstrak : Rasa percaya diri adalah aspek penting dalam menghadapi proses pembelajaran di tingkat universitas. Penelitian saat ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi secara kualitatif kontribusi model pembelajaran "Everyone is a Teacher Here” (EITH) terhadap peningkatan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam belajar. 30 orang mahasiswa dari Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam di IAIN Curup dilibatkan sebagai partisipan. Peningkatan kepercayaan diri mereka diteliti dengan menggunakan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Data mengungkapkan bahwa model EITH memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam belajar. Dalam hal ini, para mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan dalam hal keberanian mereka untuk berargumen, bertanya, dan menjawab pertanyaan. Mereka juga mengalami peningkatan dalam hal kemampuan dalam menguraikan materi pembelajaran yang didasarkan pada kepercayaan diri mereka.     Kerendahhatian dan Pemaafan pada Mahasiswa

    Abstract: This study aims to determine the correlation between humility and forgiveness in students. Respondents in this research are 252 students majoring in Psychology, Faculty of Psychology and Social and Cultural Sciences, Islamic University of Indonesia, with ages range from 17 to 24 years old. The hypothesis put forward by researchers is that there is positive correlation between the variables of humility and forgiveness in students. The research data in this study were analyzed using analytical techniques and product moment correlation from Karl Pearson; that is used to examine the relation between variables. The results showed that there is a positive correlation between humility and forgiveness (r = 0. 508 and p 0. 05) with the contribution of humility on the forgiveness of 25. 8%. Other results showed that there are different aspects of humility that contribute to forgiveness, in terms of demographic variables of age and gender.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kerendahhatian dan pe­maafan pada mahasiswa. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 252 mahasiswa jurusan psikologi, Fakultas Psikologi dan Ilmu Sosial Budaya Universitas Islam Indonesia, dengan rentang usia 17-24 tahun. Hipotesis yang diajukan peneliti adalah adanya hubungan positif antara variabel kerendahhatian dan pemaafan pada mahasiswa. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis dan korelasi product moment dari Karl Pearson yang digunakan untuk melihat hubungan antar variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada korelasi positif antara kerendahhatian dan pemaafan(r= 0, 508 dan p0, 05) dengan kontribusi variabel kerendahhatian pada pemaafan sebesar 25, 8%. Hasil lainnya menunjukkan ada perbedaan aspek kerendahhatian yang berkontribusi pada pemaafan ditinjau dari variabel demografi usia dan jenis kelamin.

    Efektivitas Terapi Zikir Istighfar untuk Mengurangi Gejala Gangguan Stres Pascatrauma Pada Istri Korban Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga

    Kekerasan yang dialami oleh istri dapat menyebabkan munculnya gejala gangguan stres pascatrauma. Intervensi untuk mengatasi gangguan stres pascatrauma telah banyak dipublikasi. Namun masih sedikit penelitian yang menggunakan terapi spiritual islami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas terapi zikir istighfar dalam menurunkan gejala gangguan stres pascatrauma pada istri yang mengalami kekerasan dalam rumah tangga. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah 10 orang istri yang menjadi korban kekerasan dalam rumah tangga yang dibagi ke dalam kelompok perlakuan (n=5) dan kelompok kontrol (n=5). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran dengan desain QUAN+qual. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan skala The PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5) yang memiliki 4 aspek dalam penilaian gangguan stres pascatrauma, observasi dan wawancara. Hasil dari analisis Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test menunjukkan bahwa pada kelompok perlakuan terapi zikir istighfar efektif dalam menurunkan gangguan stress pascatrauma setelah ada waktu untuk menghayati dan mempraktikkan secara mandiri. Hal ini didukung dengan hasil analisis kualitatif yaitu munculnya ketenangan hati dan kesadaran diri akan kesalahan yang dilakukan di masa lalu pada masing-masing partisipan

    At the end of the 20th century, a new scientific movement emerged in psychology called Islamic Psychology. Islamic psychology emphasizes the view of fitrah (sacred nature) in science. This science began when a book entitled "The Dilemma of Muslim Psychologists" was published, inspired, and awakened Muslim scientists in the world to return to the truth of Islam in psychology. The book was written by Malik Badri, who is known as the Father of Islamic Psychology. Seeing how big the role of Malik Badri in Islamizing psychology is, the researcher wanted to get a clear description of Malik Badri's biography, including the style of thought and the work produced. To get a biographical article, the researcher reviewed the literature/documents about Malik Badri like books, journals, news, and others about Malik Badri’s biography, creation, thought, etc with the design of a narratively qualitative approach. The data collected were analyzed by restorying stories. The result showed that there were so many contributions of Malik Badri for his discipline and also in the world society

    This study aimed to observe to what extent the self-adaptation has a role as mediator in the correlation of religiosity and happiness. It involved 204 new santri in Islamic Boarding School X in Bekasi. This study used the scale of Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (OHQ) as developed by Hills and Argyle, Indonesian Psychological Measurement of Islamic Religiousness (I-PMIR) developed by Abu-Raiya, et al. adapted into Indonesia Language by Salsabila, et al. and student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ) by Baker and Siryk. Data were analized using exploratory factor analysis by means of software SPSS 20 and PROCESS macro analysis through SPSS 20 software. The results of this study showed that religiosity positively affecting self-adaptation and happiness, and self-adaptation mediated the effects of religiosity on happiness. Thus, the hypothesis in this study was accepted
