Loss of CD20 Expression in Follicular Lymphoma after Program Anti-Tumor Therapy Including Rituximab: Literature Data and Case Report
It is the first description of a case of follicular lymphoma with a loss of CD20 antigen expression during the anti-tumor treatment including rituximab in the NN Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center. The article discusses the tactics of further management of such patients and the effect of the CD20-negative status of follicular lymphoma tumor cells acquired during immunochemotherapy
Super-A-polynomials for Twist Knots
We conjecture formulae of the colored superpolynomials for a class of twist
knots where p denotes the number of full twists. The validity of the
formulae is checked by applying differentials and taking special limits. Using
the formulae, we compute both the classical and quantum super-A-polynomial for
the twist knots with small values of p. The results support the categorified
versions of the generalized volume conjecture and the quantum volume
conjecture. Furthermore, we obtain the evidence that the Q-deformed
A-polynomials can be identified with the augmentation polynomials of knot
contact homology in the case of the twist knots.Comment: 22+16 pages, 16 tables and 5 figures; with a Maple program by Xinyu

SL(2,R) Chern-Simons, Liouville, and Gauge Theory on Duality Walls
We propose an equivalence of the partition functions of two different 3d
gauge theories. On one side of the correspondence we consider the partition
function of 3d SL(2,R) Chern-Simons theory on a 3-manifold, obtained as a
punctured Riemann surface times an interval. On the other side we have a
partition function of a 3d N=2 superconformal field theory on S^3, which is
realized as a duality domain wall in a 4d gauge theory on S^4. We sketch the
proof of this conjecture using connections with quantum Liouville theory and
quantum Teichmuller theory, and study in detail the example of the
once-punctured torus. Motivated by these results we advocate a direct
Chern-Simons interpretation of the ingredients of (a generalization of) the
Alday-Gaiotto-Tachikawa relation. We also comment on M5-brane realizations as
well as on possible generalizations of our proposals.Comment: 53+1 pages, 14 figures; v2: typos corrected, references adde
N=2 gauge theories on toric singularities, blow-up formulae and W-algebrae
We compute the Nekrasov partition function of gauge theories on the (resolved) toric singularities C2/\u393 in terms of blow-up formulae. We discuss the expansion of the partition function in the e1,e2 \u2192 0 limit along with its modular properties and how to derive them from the M-theory perspective. On the two-dimensional conformal field theory side, our results can be interpreted in terms of representations of the direct sum of Heisenberg plus W_N -algebrae with suitable central charges, which can be computed from the fan of the resolved toric variety. We provide a check of this correspondence by computing the central charge of the two-dimensional theory from the anomaly polynomial of M5-brane theory. Upon using the AGT correspondence our results provide a candidate for the conformal blocks and three-point functions of a class of the two-dimensional CFTs which includes parafermionic theories
Osteochondral defects : present situation and tissue engineering approaches
Articular cartilage is often damaged due to trauma or degenerative diseases, resulting in severe
pain and disability. Most clinical approaches have been shown to have limited capacity to treat
cartilage lesions. Tissue engineering (TE) has been proposed as an alternative strategy to repair
cartilage. Cartilage defects often penetrate to the subchondral bone, or full-thickness defects are
also produced in some therapeutic procedures. Therefore, in TE strategies one should also consider
the need for a simultaneous regeneration of both cartilage and subchondral bone in situations
where osteochondral defects are present, or to provide an enhanced support for the cartilage
hybrid construct. In this review, different concepts related to TE in osteochondral regeneration
will be discussed. The focus is on the need to produce new biphasic scaffolds that will provide
differentiated and adequate conditions for guiding the growth of the two tissues, satisfying their
different biological and functional requirements
A first generation BAC-based physical map of the rainbow trout genome
Background: Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) are the most-widely cultivated cold freshwater fish in the world and an important model species for many research areas. Coupling great interest in this species as a research model with the need for genetic improvement of aquaculture production efficiency traits justifies the continued development of genomics research resources. Many quantitative trait loci (QTL) have been identified for production and life-history traits in rainbow trout. A bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) physical map is needed to facilitate fine mapping of QTL and the selection of positional candidate genes for incorporation in marker-assisted selection (MAS) for improving rainbow trout aquaculture production. This resource will also facilitate efforts to obtain and assemble a whole-genome reference sequence for this species.[br/] Results: The physical map was constructed from DNA fingerprinting of 192,096 BAC clones using the 4-color high-information content fingerprinting (HICF) method. The clones were assembled into physical map contigs using the finger-printing contig (FPC) program. The map is composed of 4,173 contigs and 9,379 singletons. The total number of unique fingerprinting fragments (consensus bands) in contigs is 1,185,157, which corresponds to an estimated physical length of 2.0 Gb. The map assembly was validated by 1) comparison with probe hybridization results and agarose gel fingerprinting contigs; and 2) anchoring large contigs to the microsatellite-based genetic linkage map.[br/] Conclusion: The production and validation of the first BAC physical map of the rainbow trout genome is described in this paper. We are currently integrating this map with the NCCCWA genetic map using more than 200 microsatellites isolated from BAC end sequences and by identifying BACs that harbor more than 300 previously mapped markers. The availability of an integrated physical and genetic map will enable detailed comparative genome analyses, fine mapping of QTL, positional cloning, selection of positional candidate genes for economically important traits and the incorporation of MAS into rainbow trout breeding programs
