Estimating the Population Standard Deviation with Confidence Interval: A Simulation Study under Skewed and Symmetric Conditions
This paper investigates the performance of ten methods for constructing a confidence interval estimator for the population standard deviation by a simulation study. Since a theoretical comparison among the interval estimators is not possible, a simulation study has been conducted to compare the performance of the selected interval estimators. Data were randomly generated from several distributions with a range of sample sizes. Various evaluation criterions are considered for performance comparison. Two health related data have been analyzed to illustrate the application of the proposed confidence intervals. Based on simulation results, some intervals with the best performance have been recommended for practitioners
Complete mitochondrial genome sequence of Catla catla (Hamilton, 1822) from the Halda river of Bangladesh
Catla (Catla catla) is one of the fastest-growing major carp found in South Asia as well as Bangladesh. Catla catla is the second most popular indigenous carp species in the freshwater aquaculture industry of Bangladesh due to its relatively good taste and high market price. In this study, we disclosed the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of Bangladeshi Catla fish from Halda river located in Chittagong. The circular mitogenome of Catla catla is 16,597 bp in length and nucleotide composition is AT-based (72%), contains 37 genes including 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, 2 rRNA genes and a D-loop (control region).publishedVersio
A Survey: Implementations of Non-fungible Token System in Different Fields
In the realm of digital art and collectibles, NFTs are sweeping the board.
Because of the massive sales to a new crypto audience, the livelihoods of
digital artists are being transformed. It is no surprise that celebs are
jumping on the bandwagon. It is a fact that NFTs can be used in multiple ways,
including digital artwork such as animation, character design, digital
painting, collection of selfies or vlogs, and many more digital entities. As a
result, they may be used to signify the possession of any specific object,
whether it be digital or physical. NFTs are digital tokens that may be used to
indicate ownership of one of a-kind goods. For example, I can buy a shoe or T
shirt from any store, and then if the store provides me the same 3D model of
that T-Shirt or shoe of the exact same design and color, it would be more
connected with my feelings. They enable us to tokenize items such as artwork,
valuables, and even real estate. NFTs can only be owned by one person at a
time, and they are protected by the Ethereum blockchain no one can alter the
ownership record or create a new NFT. The word non-fungible can be used to
describe items like your furniture, a song file, or your computer. It is
impossible to substitute these goods with anything else because they each have
their own distinct characteristics. The goal was to find all the existing
implementations of Non-fungible Tokens in different fields of recent
technology, so that an overall overview of future implementations of NFT can be

A comparison of some confidence intervals for estimating the population coefficient of variation: a simulation study
This paper considers several confidence intervals for estimating the population coefficient of variation based on parametric, nonparametric and modified methods. A simulation study has been conducted to compare the performance of the existing and newly proposed interval estimators. Many intervals were modified in our study by estimating the variance with the median instead of the mean and these modifications were also successful. Data were generated from normal, chi-square, and gamma distributions for CV = 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5. We reported coverage probability and interval length for each estimator. The results were applied to two public health data: child birth weight and cigarette smoking prevalence. Overall, good intervals included an interval for chi-square distributions by McKay (1932), an interval estimator for normal distributions by Miller (1991), and our proposed interval

The literature on marriage norms and aspirations across societies largely sees the institution as static – a tool for the assertion of masculinities and subordination of women. The changing meanings of marriage and conjugality in the contemporary context of globalisation have received scant attention. Based on research in rural Bangladesh, this article questions the usefulness of notions of autonomy and dependence in understanding conjugal relations and expectations in a context of widespread migration for extended periods, especially to overseas destinations, where mutuality is crucial for social reproduction, though in clearly genderdemarcated domains
Culture feasibility of African catfish ( Clarias gariepinus lin.) fry in glass tank and synthetic hapa system using supplemental diets
Abstract An experiment was carried out with 1 0 days old Clarias gariepinus fry over a period of 42 days to determine the effects of different feeds on growth and survival of African catfish fry in glass tanks. The experiment was designed into four treatments each having three replications. Thus treatment 1 (T 1 ) was named as Tank Tubifex (TT) and treatment 2 (T 2 ) as Tank Sabinco (TS), treatment 3 as Pond Tubifex (PT), and treatment 4 (T 4 ) as Pond Sabinco (PS). Live Tubifex (protein levels 64.48%) was supplied to treatments 1 and 3 and rest of the treatments were supplied Sabinco starter-1 (protein levels 40.13%). The highest and the lowest growth in total length and weight were 12.90 em, 18.77 g and 6.17 em, 4.04 g recorded from the treatments 3 and 2, respectively. Growth of catfish fry under treatment 3 in terms of both length and weight were significantly higher (P<0.01) than those of the other treatments. However treatment 2 showed the significantly lowest (P<0.01) growth performance among the various treatments. The highest survival rate (92%) was also obtained with treatment 3. Tubifex proved to be the best larval feed in respect of growth and survival rate
Prevalence of Parental refusal rate and its associated factors in routine immunization by using WHO Vaccine Hesitancy tool: A Cross sectional study at district Bannu, KP, Pakistan
Objective To determine the parents refusal rate, associated factors and the perceptions of refusal parents in routine immunization by using “WHO SAGE Working Group on Vaccine Hesitancy survey tool”. Material and Methods A cross sectional survey was conducted by using multi stage cluster sampling at the remote district Bannu Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan from March 2019 to July 2019.A WHO validated questionaire was used. Our outcome variable was “Ever refusal from routine immunization (yes/No)”.logistic regression was run for association and multi regression was applied to see counfounders. Result Out of total 610 parents, the refusal rate was 170(27.9%).Mostly the mother of the children has no education 145(85.3%,P 0.03).Mother has no mobile but the father has 152(89.4%, p=<.001) higher frequency to have mobile. The refusal rate was high in those having secure food 88(51.8%) as compare to minimal 62(36.5%) and highly insecure food 20(11.8%,P=<.05).On multivariate logistic regression, those father who were employee (adjusted OR = 0.59; 95% CI 0.37 to 0.94; p = 0.02) and having higher education (adjusted OR = 0.21; 95% CI 0.08 to 0.50; p=<.001) were less likely to refuse to vaccinate their children while in contrast those having highly insecure food were more likely to refuse (adjusted OR = 2.2; 95% CI 1.0 to 0.50; p = 0.04) as compare to minimal insecure food (adjusted OR = 1.6; 95% CI 1.0 to 2.5; p = 0.02). Conclusion Refusal rate among parents was very high while those parents who’s can’t read or write and with no education, having mobile phone, unemployment and secure food were more to be associated with refusal
Delineating ethnic and religious identities in research with British South Asians
The present essay presents a rationale for delineating ethnic and religious identities in empirical research into self-identification among British South Asians. It is argued that the delineation of these identities is important in order to (i) predict and explain the identificatory possibilities available to these individuals; (ii) explore the differential values attributed to these identities; (iii) the level of psychological 'connectedness' between the identities; and (iv) the inter-relations between these identities, particularly in relation to psychological coherence. It is argued that a systematic delineation of these identities may have favourable theoretical, empirical and practical outcomes
Rethinking Watermark: Providing Proof of IP Ownership in Modern SoCs
Intellectual property (IP) cores are essential to creating modern system-on-chips (SoCs). Protecting the IPs deployed in modern SoCs has become more difficult as the IP houses have been established across the globe over the past three decades. The threat posed by IP piracy and overuse has been a topic of research for the past decade or so and has led to creation of a field called watermarking. IP watermarking aims of detecting unauthorized IP usage by embedding excess, nonfunctional circuitry into the SoC. Unfortunately, prior work has been built upon assumptions that cannot be met within the modern SoC design and verification processes. In this paper, we first provide an extensive overview of the current state-of-the-art IP watermarking. Then, we challenge these dated assumptions and propose a new path for future effective IP watermarking approaches suitable for today\u27s complex SoCs in which IPs are deeply embedded
