Absorption spectra of dark interstellar clouds − a long term project for the Terskol Observatory
We present the long-term project on investigation of the absorption spectral features originating in interstellar HI clouds. This project is being realized at the Terskol Observatory. The most important results and the world-largest database of spectra of interstellar clouds are described.The authors are very grateful to the Terskol Observatory staff members for the support during the observations. Detailed chemical abundances of several CP-stars of the upper main sequence
We present a study of the chemical composition of atmospheres of five stars of the upper main sequence. Investigations of the SB2 system 66 Eri permit to find the gallium spots in atmospheres of the components, the secondary component of the system is a HgMn star, the primary can also be a HgMn star with less pronounced anomalies. The components of the double system HD153720 appear to be metallic-lined stars. A review of studies of the abundance of SB2 systems with A4–F1 components shows that the usually accepted fraction of stars with the solar chemical composition in this region of the HR diagram can be decreased. The abundance patterns of Sirius (>50 elements) in the region of heavy elements give us additional arguments for the hypothesis that not only a diffusion is responsible for the overabundances of these elements in Sirius. The abundance pattern of δ Sct (49 elements) appears to be similar to δ Del type stars, maybe, a subtype of the prototype of one of the largest class of pulsating variables should be changed. The abundance pattern of the Przybylski’s star is the best stellar abundance pattern (after that of the Sun). The possible identification of radioactive elements (84 ≤ Z ≤ 99) in the atmosphere of the Przybylski’s star needs abundance determinations and can be the clue to the understanding of the nature of all CP stars
Biallelic variants in KIF14 cause intellectual disability with microcephaly.
Kinesin proteins are critical for various cellular functions such as intracellular transport and cell division, and many members of the family have been linked to monogenic disorders and cancer. We report eight individuals with intellectual disability and microcephaly from four unrelated families with parental consanguinity. In the affected individuals of each family, homozygosity for likely pathogenic variants in KIF14 were detected; two loss-of-function (p.Asn83Ilefs*3 and p.Ser1478fs), and two missense substitutions (p.Ser841Phe and p.Gly459Arg). KIF14 is a mitotic motor protein that is required for spindle localization of the mitotic citron rho-interacting kinase, CIT, also mutated in microcephaly. Our results demonstrate the involvement of KIF14 in development and reveal a wide phenotypic variability ranging from fetal lethality to moderate developmental delay and microcephaly
Sanding of drained peatlands
The results of many years of original research based on soil-ecological monitoring showed the development of degradation processes of previously drained peat soils of the Ryazan Meshchera. Structural amelioration (sanding) of peat soils had some positive effect. The aim of the research was to study the properties of the dried peat soil at reclamation site Tinki-II in the settlement of Polkovo, Ryazan District of Ryazan Region, as a result of sanding. The most common type of German mixed-layer sanding was used in investigations. The methodology was based on the principle of comparing the state of dried peat soil before and after sanding. The content of the less than 0.01 mm fractions was 4.3 %, the rest consisted of particles from 0.25 to 0.05 mm; the pH of the salt extract was 5.7. Mineral fertilizers were applied in the experiment in small quantities: ammonium nitrate – 180 g, superphosphate – 185 g and potassium sulfate – 260 g. The water supply was atmospheric-ground. Variant 2 was more effective – sanding with a dose of 1200 t/ha for sluicing and maintaining GWL = 90 cm, as evidenced by improved water-physical properties of the soil: the total porosity increased by 5 %; the total water capacity decreased from 270 to 70%, that was almost 4 times. Монография содержит результаты многолетних исследований в рамках почвенно-
экологического мониторинга на мелиоративном объекте Тинки-II, расположенном на
территории Рязанской Мещеры. Даны результаты исследований торфяной почвы
длительного срока осушения. Приведены результаты ботанического обследования участка
луга. Выявлено малое видовое разнообразие вследствие деградации торфяной почвы и
отсутствия контроля работы осушительной системы.

Condiciones pedagógicas del estudio de terminología botánica y veterinaria en latín
The article determines the language systems of the Latin and English languages, the elements of which are
involved in the course of many classes, involving familiarity with the basics of the Latin language at an agrarian
university. The methodology of the work was to apply general and special methods of scientific knowledge -
analysis, synthesis, comparison and dialectical approach. Studies have been conducted over the last three
years. As a result of the research, the ways of overcoming difficulties with the use of tasks related to the
