    Analisis Berpikir Kritis Matematis Siswa Ditinjau Dari Big Five Personality

    This study aims to describe students' mathematical critical thinking skills with the Big Five personality types, namely Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Neuroticism. This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Data collection technique used in this research is a Big Five personality type questionnaire and a written test. The research subjects consisted of 10 students who were selected from 29 students with purposive sampling technique. Questionnaire analysis data representing personality types were calculated to determine the dominant personality type in students, after that a mathematical critical thinking ability test was carried out on 10 students to be analyzed as data for classifying students' mathematical critical thinking ability levels analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results obtained are as follows: (1)The critical thinking ability of students with the Openness personality type meets the characteristics of high critical thinking abilities. (2)The critical thinking ability of students with Conscientiousness personality type meets the characteristics of a very high critical thinking ability level. (3)The critical thinking ability of students with Extraversion personality type meets the characteristics of a high level of critical thinking ability. (4)The critical thinking ability of students with Agreeableness personality type meets the characteristics of a high level of critical thinking ability. (5)The critical thinking ability of students with the Neuroticism personality type meets the characteristics of a moderate level of critical thinking ability. (6)The type of personality with the characteristics of very high critical thinking skills in learning mathematics is the Conscientiousness personality typePenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa dengan tipe kepribadian Big Five yaitu tipe kepribadian Openness,  Conscientiousness, Extraversion,  Agreeableness dan Neuroticism. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket tipe kepribadian Big Five, tes tulis dalam bentuk essay. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 10 siswa yang dipilih dari 29 siswa yang ada  dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data analisis angket yang mewakili tipe kerpibadian dihitung untuk menentukan tipe kepribadian yang dominan pada siswa, setelahnya dilakukan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis pada 10 siswa untuk dianalisis sebagai data klasifikasi tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. dipaparkan dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan tipe kepribadian Openness memenuhi karakteristik kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi. (2) Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan tipe kepribadian Conscientiousness memenuhi karakteristik tingkat kemampuan berpikir sangat kritis tinggi. (3) Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan tipe kepribadian Extraversion memenuhi karakteristik tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi. (4) Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan tipe kepribadian Agreeableness memenuhi karakteristik tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi. (5) Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan tipe kepribadian Neuroticism memenuhi karakteristik tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis sedang.     Learning Design for Light Wave Oriented to the Multiple-Representations of High School Students in East Aceh

    Several studies have shown a deficiency in multiple-representation skills among high school students in East Aceh, where the learning process has not fully accommodated the development of these skills. This research aims to develop a learning design focused on enhancing students' multiple-representation abilities in the subject of light waves. The methods used include surveys and design research, with data collection utilizing validation sheets, pretests, posttests, and interviews. The validation results indicate a very valid category for question instruments, worksheets, and media. An initial survey of 30 high school students in East Aceh revealed an average initial multiple-representation ability of 28.4%. After limited implementation of the learning design, students' multiple-representation ability increased to an average of 61.8%. Thus, this learning design has proven effective in enhancing students' multiple-representation skills. Future research could evaluate its application in other subject materials

    ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self efficacy siswa pada pembelajaran berbasis e-learning berbantuan Microsoft Kaizala. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X OTKP 1 SMK Negeri I Cipanas sebanyak 10 orang siswa. Penelitian ini mengunakan instrumen berupa soal tes dan non tes (kuesioner/angket).  Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa 1) kemampuan komunikasi siswa masuk ke dalam kategori baik; 2) Siswa mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika dengan solusi yang tepat. Namun beberapa responden mengalami kendala dalam merancang permasalahan matematika. Responden tersebut mampu menyelesaikan masalah, namun belum mampu merancang situasi matematika dengan tepat. Siswa harus terbiasa dilatih dalam merancang  permasalahan matematika berdasarkan ide dan keterangan yang dekat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, kemudian menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut. 3) Pada tahap pengujian self efficacy, siswa memilki self efficacy cukup tinggi. Pembelajaran berbasis e-learning direkomendasikan menjadi salah satu alternatif metode pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan self efficacy siswa

    Sifat Preservasi Lingkaran dan Garis Pada Transformasi Möbius

    This article discusses Möbius transformation from the point of view of algebra to describe one of its geometric properties, i.e. preserving circles and lines in complex planes. In simple terms, this preservation means that Möbius transformation maps a collection of circles and lines (back) into a collection of circles and lines. In general, the discussion begins with an explanation of the definition of the Möbius transformation in the complex plane. The discussion continues on defining the basic mapping and direct affine transformation. These two concepts are used to prove the existence of the preservation properties of circles and lines in the Möbius transformation. It can be shown that the Möbius transformation can be expressed as a composition of the direct affine transform and the inverse. It can also be shown that the direct affine transform and the inverse both have the property of preserving circles and lines in the complex plane. Thus, it can be concluded that in this study the Möbius transformation has the property of preserving circles and lines in the complex plane

    Penerapan Model Guided Discovery Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Mahasiswa

    This action research is based on the implementation Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) in the 2013 curriculum (K13) for education in Indonesia. Beside that the minimum completeness criteria, for space analytic geometry in Suryakancana University, has not been achieved yet. The aim of this study was to improve the mathematical conceptual understanding of students who were taking lectures on space analytic geometry. The sample consisted of two classes with many students of 19 and 22 respectively. This classroom action research was completed in two cycles. In the second cycle, the class absorption of each class was 78.95% and 77.27%. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of the GDL model can improve the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts, especially in the analytic geometry of space subject, and in general students provide a positive response to learning with the GDL model

    PENGEMBANGAN JIMATH SEBAGAI MULTIMEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA BERBASIS ANDROID UNTUK SISWA SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS

    Abstrak: Telepon pintar dapat digunakan untuk berbagai fungsi, salah satunya adalah multimedia pembelajaran. Akan tetapi, masih sangat jarang pengguna telepon pintar bersistem operasi Android khususnya siswa SMA yang menggunakan telepon pintarnya sebagai multimedia pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran matematika berbasis Android dengan nama JiMath untuk siswa SMA dan untuk mengetahui respon siswa serta tingkat efektivitas dari multimedia pembelajaran matematika yang dikembangkan. Subjek uji coba sekaligus sasaran dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA 6 SMAN 2 Cianjur yang berjumlah 32 orang siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia pembelajaran matematika berbasis Android yang dikembangkan menurut ahli media memenuhi kategori Sangat Layak dengan persentase mencapai 81%, sedangkan menurut ahli materi memenuhi kategori Layak dengan persentase mencapai 65,83%. Kemudian untuk efektivitas multimedia pembelajaran yang dikembangkan menurut responden memenuhi kategori Layak dengan persentase mencapai 74,1%, sehingga multimedia pembelajaran matematika berbasis Android ini efektif digunakan sebagai multimedia penunjang belajar untuk siswa yang dapat digunakan kapan pun dan di mana pun. Abstract: The smart phone can be used for various functions, one of which is multimedia of education. However, it is still very rare for smart phone users with Android operating system especially high school students who use their smartphones as multimedia of education. This study aims to develop multimedia of mathematics education based on Android with the name JiMath for high school students and to determine the response of students and the level of effectiveness of the multimedia education mathematics developed. The subjects of the experiments as well as the targets in this study were the students of class X IPA 6 SMAN 2 Cianjur which amounted to 32 students. The method used is research and development with ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The result of the research shows that the multimedia of mathematics education based on android developed by the media expert meets the Very Eligible category with the percentage reaching 81%. Meanwhile, according to the material expert meets the Eligible category with a percentage of 65.83%. Then for the effectiveness of multimedia education developed according to respondents meet the Eligible category with the percentage reached 74.1%, so that the multimedia of mathematics education based on Android is effectively used as a supporting multimedia of education for students who can use anytime and anywhere
