    Permasalahan yang ingin dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah: (a) mengdeskripsikan pembelajaran mata kuliah konsep dasar IPA 1 dengan pendekatan pembelajaran aktif. fokus masalah adalah apakah pendekatan pembelajaran aktif cocok untuk diterapkan pada mata kuliah konsep dasar IPA 1. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeksripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada mata kuliah konsep dasar IPA 1 dengan pendekatan pembelajaran aktif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis peneltitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif murni. Dari hasil penlitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran aktif pada mata kuliah konsep dasar IPA 1 di kelas 27 di Prodi PGSD FIP UNM berada pada kategori baik

    Proposal for effective treatment of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli infection in mice

    Previously, we reported that minocycline, kanamycin and norfloxacin improved the survival rate in the E32511 model that we developed (Infect. Immun. 62: 3447-3453, 1994), but fosfomycin did not. In this study, we investigated the effectiveness of azithromycin (AZM) against Stx2d-producing EHEC O91:H21 strain B2F1 or Stx2c producing Escherichia coli strain E32511 treated with Mitomycin C in vivo. Recently,we reported the effectiveness of AZM in our model and AZM strongly inhibited the release of Stx2c from E32511 in vitro (PLOS ONE e58959, 2013). However, it was very difficult to completely eliminate E32511 in the mouse feces by treatment with AZM alone. In this report, only AZM or Daio effectively promoted survival of mice infected with B2F1 compared to untreated mice. Furthermore, Daio inhibited the colonization of GFP expressing B2F1 in the mouse intestine. Similarly, a combination of AZM and Daio in the E32511-infected mice reduced E32511 in the mouse feces and significantly improved survival

    ABSTRAK Mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik MAN Baraka merupakan tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian korelasi produk momen, dimana ada dua variabel yang ingin dikatahui hubungan dan arah hubungannya, serta menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X MIA MAN Baraka dengan total 121 orang peserta didik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan dua jenis instrument yakni instumen non-tes dan tes masing-masing untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar dengan jumlah 37 pernyataan, setiap pernyataan memiliki 5 pilihan jawaban dan pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik dengan jumlah butir soal 26 yang setiap nomornya memiliki lima alternatif jawaban. Dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi produk momen diperoleh hasil penelitian yaitu nilai signifikansi 0,008 < 0,05 yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik MAN Baraka dengan arah korelasinya adalah positif. Dengan ini, guru-guru ketika akan melakukan pembelajaran, baiknya memberikan motivasi terlebih dahulu kepada peserta didik agar mereka termotivasi. Ketika pererta didik sudah termotivasi, maka peserta didik akan bersemangat dan memungkinkan mereka untuk mudah dalam memahami konsep-konsep pelajaran sehingga akan memperoleh hasil belajar yang lebih baik. Kata  kunci: motivasi, belajar, pemahaman, konsep, fisika ABSTRACT Knowing the relationship between learning motivation and understanding students' MAN Baraka concepts is the aim of this study. This research was included in product-moment research, where there were two variables that wanted to know the relationship and direction needed, and used quantitative research. The subjects of this study were all students of class X MIA MAN Baraka with a total of 121 students. Data collection used two types of instruments namely non-test and each test to determine learning motivation with a total of 37 answers, each of which had 5 answer choices and students' understanding of concepts with a total of 26 items, each of which had five alternative answers. By using product evaluation analysis when the results of significance 0.008 <0.05 which mean that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between learning and learning with the understanding of MAN Baraka students' concepts and the direction of correlation is positive. With this, the teacher when going to learn, it is better to provide motivation in advance to students so that they are motivated.     AbstractThis research examines the implementation of the PKH Program, an overview of the role of PKH Social Assistants during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The research location is in Darul Falah District of East Aceh Regency. The research objective was to describe and analyze the implementation of the PKH Program in Darul Falah District of East Aceh Regency during the Covid-19 Pandemic and to describe and analyze the role of PKH Social Assistants in the PKH Program assisted areas during the Covid-19 Pandemic. In conducting this research the writer used a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach.  The results of the study found that the role of PKH Social Assistants in Darul Falah District of East Aceh Regency in 2020 is a description of the implementation of the PKH Program in Darul Falah District of East Aceh Regency during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This activity is a daily activity carried out by PKH Social Assistants in order to cut off the spread of the Corona Virus in Darul Falah District of East Aceh Regency. In order to break the chain of spreading the Corona Virus in the community, PKH Social Assistants in Darul Falah District of East Aceh Regency is active in various Covid-19 volunteer activities in eleven villages in the Darul Falah District of East Aceh Regency.     Investigation of encephalopathy caused by Shiga toxin 2c-producing Escherichia coli infection in mice

    A large outbreak of Shiga toxin (Stx)-producing enteroaggregative Escherichia coli (EAEC) O104:H4 occurred in northern Germany. From this outbreak, at least 900 patients developed hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), resulting in more than 50 deaths. Thirty percent of the HUS patients showed encephalopathy. We previously established a mouse model with encephalopathy associated with blood brain barrier (BBB) damage after oral infection with the Shiga toxin (Stx) 2c-producing Escherichia coli O157: H- strain E32511 (E32511). In this model, we detected high expression of the Stx receptor synthase enzyme, glycosphingolipid globotriaosylceramide (Gb3) synthase, in endothelial cells (ECs) and neurons in the reticular formation of the medulla oblongata by in situ hybridization. Caspase-3 was activated in neurons in the reticular formation of the medulla oblongata and the anterior horn of the spinal cord. Astrocytes (ASTs) were activated in the medulla oblongata and spinal cord, and a decrease in aquaporin 4 around the ECs suggested that BBB integrity was compromised directly by Stx2c or through the activation of ASTs. We also report the effectiveness of azithromycin (AZM) in our model. Moreover, AZM strongly inhibited the release of Stx2c from E32511 in vitro

    This research discusses the repair of trust made by Facebook regarding the Cambridge Analytica Scandal based on the trust-repair discourse model established by Fuoli and Paradis. The objective of this research is to find out how the trust violation repaired by Mark Zuckerberg as CEO of Facebook. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The source of data in this research was taken from the discourse uploaded by Mark Zuckerberg on March 22, 2018. The data was collected through reading intensively, identifying, and classifying based on communicative action models of Fuoli and Paradis. The data was analyzed by presenting, describing, interpreting and concluding the data to answer the research question of this research. Researchers found that Mark Zuckerberg as CEO of Facebook adopted strategies such as neutralizing the negative and emphasizing the positive to improve the company's trust from three aspects, namely ability, integrity, and benevolence. Zuckerberg adopts a lot emphasize the positive strategy to improve trust from the aspect of ability. He mainly adopts the strategy of emphasizing the positive to show that they are capable in eliminating risks. Meanwhile, in terms of integrity and benevolence, Zuckerberg uses a combination of emphasize the positive and neutralize the negative strategy. By emphasizing the positive, Zuckerberg intends to build an honest image for the company. With neutralizing the negative, he tries to lessen the negative impact of the accusation. Through the use of this strategy Zuckerberg rebuilt and renegotiated the company's trust

    Organic paddy farming practice to learning application

    Knowledge sharing and transfer through information and communication technology applications is alternative and popular medium in this era.This paper aim to describe how the knowledge about organic paddy practices are used in learning prototype, call as Si Padi.The objective of learning prototype is to increase awareness and to promote sustainable practices in organic paddy farming. The real-life practices of sustainable paddy farming have been adapted in the design of the prototype.The findings of this study indicate that the prototype is beneficial in creating sustainability awareness among the students. For future applications, the learning prototype for the sustainability awareness program can be extended to other sustainability related issues

    PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN COOPERATIVE SCRIPT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA

    The focus of this research is the application of the cooperative script learning model and students' science learning outcomes. The approach in this research is a qualitative approach. This type of research is PTK. The purpose of this study was to describe the application of the cooperative script learning model to improve the learning outcomes of grade V students in the science subject of SDN 12 Biccuing, Lalabata District, Soppeng Regency. The subjects in this study were all 5th grade students of SDN 12 Biccuing with a total of 22 people and 1 teacher. Data collection techniques are observation and tests. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the application of the cooperative scipt learning model could improve science learning outcomes in cycle I by 48% and increased in cycle II by 76%. It can be concluded that the cooperative script learning model can improve students' science learning outcomes
