Paisajes urbanos y autenticidad percibida

La intensa competencia a la que se enfrentan los destinos culturales provoca que éstos se centren en la búsqueda de fórmulas que sirvan para generarles una ventaja competitiva, habiéndose señalado la autenticidad como uno de los elementos que en mayor medida inciden sobre la satisfacción y lealtad del visitante. Si bien son múltiples los elementos que pueden afectar a la autenticidad percibida, la gestión del patrimonio histórico que poseen las urbes cobra especial relevancia tanto desde el ámbito académico como de la gestión pública. Que los destinos turísticos empleen una estrategia de desarrollo sostenible permitiría poner en valor su patrimonio histórico y activar el triple componente sectorial que componen los Paisajes Urbanos (turismo, ocio y comercio), y que se constituye en la principal fuente de actividad económica de gran parte de los municipios. Es por ello, que el presente trabajo se dirige a analizar el impacto que presente la conservación y mantenimiento de los Pasajes Urbanos sobre la autenticidad percibida por el visitante y de ésta sobre las actividades que desarrolla una vez que se encuentra en el destino.The intense competition faced by cultural destinations causes them to focus on the search for formulas that will generate a competitive advantage, having noted the authenticity as one of the elements that have the greatest impact on visitor satisfaction and loyalty. Sensitivity analysys and potential evaluation using building thermal mass combined with DSM strategies

It is interesting to see if a balance can be reached between the cost savings, the increase in energy consumed, the thermal comfort of the occupants and the contribution to the reduction of the peak loads. The study shows different results and conclusions, highlighting the important influence of various factors on the results obtained, such as user behavior, constructive quality of the building and electric pricing. Connection with a future renewable production can maximize the economic savings; it is interesting the use of buildings as thermal storage of unused photovoltaic surplus. Elisidepsin interacts directly with glycosylceramides in the plasma membrane of tumor cells to induce necrotic cell death

Any major break on it immediately induces the death of the affected cell. Different molecules were described as disrupting this cell structure and thus showing antitumor activity. We have previously defined that elisidepsin (Irvalec®, PM02734) inserts and self-organizes in the plasma membrane of tumor cells, inducing a rapid loss of membrane integrity, cell permeabilization and necrotic death. Here we show that, in sensitive HCT-116 colorectal cells, all these effects are consequence of the interaction of elisidepsin with glycosylceramides in the cell membrane. Of note, an elisidepsin-resistant subline (HCT-116-Irv) presented reduced levels of glycosylceramides and no accumulation of elisidepsin in the plasma membrane. Consequently, drug treatment did not induce the characteristic necrotic cell death. Furthermore, GM95, a mutant derivative from B16 mouse melanoma cells lacking ceramide glucosyltransferase (UGCG) activity and thus the synthesis of glycosylceramides, was also resistant to elisidepsin. Over-expression of UGCG gene in these deficient cells restored glycosylceramides synthesis, rendering them sensitive to elisidepsin, at a similar level than parental B16 cells. These results indicate that glycosylceramides act as membrane targets of elisidepsin, facilitating its insertion in the plasma membrane and the subsequent membrane permeabilization that leads to drug-induced cell death. Factores internos y externos que influyen en la imagen de marca de Cafetín El Recanto

La investigación realizada pretende analizar los factores internos y externos que influyen en la imagen de marca de Cafetín El Recanto, ubicado en la ciudad de Estelí. Dicha empresa tiene años laborando en el mercado y se observa que no tiene buena afluencia de clientes, con respecto a su trayectoria y reconocimiento en el mercado. Influyendo a la falta de ingresos al negocio, por lo cual ha ido perdiendo presencia en el mercado. El objetivo principal es analizar los factores internos y externos que influyen en la imagen de marca, y crear una propuesta de estrategias, que sea de ayuda para la empresa y puedan mejorar en puntos débiles que poseen. Se aplicó instrumentos de recolección de datos para obtener información sobre la empresa, la cual no tiene antecedentes de estudio. Según los resultados obtenidos se observó que la empresa está teniendo poca demanda debido a que hay una aparte de clientes insatisfechos con ciertos aspectos del negocio, por lo cual es importante que la empresa implemente las estrategias propuestas para traer consigo un cambio positivo

Dispositivo de plataforma móvil para la medición automática de parámetros climáticos en diferentes puntos del interior de un invernadero

Is Small Still Beautiful for the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire? Novel Findings Using Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling

Article first published online: June 17, 2018During the present decade a large body of research has employed confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to evaluate the factor structure of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) across multiple languages and cultures. However, because CFA can produce strongly biased estimations when the population cross-loadings differ meaningfully from zero, it may not be the most appropriate framework to model the SDQ responses. With this in mind, the current study sought to assess the factorial structure of the SDQ using the more flexible exploratory structural equation modeling approach. Using a large-scale Spanish sample composed of 67,253 youths aged between 10 and 18 years (M = 14.16, SD = 1.07), the results showed that CFA provided a severely biased and overly optimistic assessment of the underlying structure of the SDQ. In contrast, exploratory structural equation modeling revealed a generally weak factorial structure, including questionable indicators with large cross-loadings, multiple error correlations, and significant wording variance. A subsequent Monte Carlo study showed that sample sizes greater than 4,000 would be needed to adequately recover the SDQ loading structure. The findings from this study prevent recommending the SDQ as a screening tool and suggest caution when interpreting previous results in the literature based on CFA modeling.The author(s) received no financial support for the research, authorship, and/or publication of this articl
