Local area network with fault-checking, priorities, and redundant backup

This invention is a redundant error detecting and correcting local area networked computer system having a plurality of nodes each including a network connector board within the node for connecting to an interfacing transceiver operably attached to a network cable. There is a first network cable disposed along a path to interconnect the nodes. The first network cable includes a plurality of first interfacing transceivers attached thereto. A second network cable is disposed in parallel with the first cable and, in like manner, includes a plurality of second interfacing transceivers attached thereto. There are a plurality of three position switches each having a signal input, three outputs for individual selective connection to the input, and a control input for receiving signals designating which of the outputs is to be connected to the signal input. Each of the switches includes means for designating a response address for responding to addressed signals appearing at the control input and each of the switches further has its signal input connected to a respective one of the input/output lines from the nodes. Also, one of the three outputs is connected to a repective one of the plurality of first interfacing transceivers. There is master switch control means having an output connected to the control inputs of the plurality of three position switches and an input for receiving directive signals for outputting addressed switch position signals to the three position switches as well as monitor and control computer means having a pair of network connector boards therein connected to respective ones of one of the first interfacing transceivers and one of the second interfacing transceivers and an output connected to the input of the master switch means for monitoring the status of the networked computer system by sending messages to the nodes and receiving and verifying messages therefrom and for sending control signals to the master switch to cause the master switch to cause respective ones of the nodes to use a desired one of the first and second cables for transmitting and receiving messages and for disconnecting desired ones of the nodes from both cables

Diseño de cimentaciones directas para grúas torre en Edificación.

Los puntos principales a tener en cuenta en el diseño o comprobación de una cimentación directa para una grúa torre convencional, son tratados en el presente artículo. Aspectos tales como las acciones a considerar en el cálculo del elemento, las comprobaciones frente a la estabilidad del conjunto cimiento-torre, la transmisión de presiones al terreno o el dimensionado de las armaduras de refuerzo, serán objeto de desarrollo en este documento. El escrito pretende servir de guía a los técnicos que se enfrenten al diseño de una cimentación de estas características, aportando herramientas de cálculo, recursos técnicos y bibliografía al respecto

En el artículo se realiza una comparativa entre el denominado método de los voladizos recogido en la AISC y el método recogido en el DB-CTE-SE-Acero, para el diseño de basas bajo pilares metálicos solicitadas a compresión simple. El artículo cuenta con un desarrollo teórico de las expresiones definidas en ambos códigos para este tipo de elementos, y además se incluye un modelo de elementos finitos que pretende aclarar el comportamiento de este tipo de uniones

Actitudes de los adolescentes de la escuela preparatoria federal por cooperación Ricardo Flores Magón hacia la comida

Durante la adolescencia existen muchos cambios, tanto fisiológicos, como emocionales y el papel de la alimentación es siempre el mismo: dotar al organismo de la energía suficiente y aportar los nutrientes necesarios para que funcione correctamente. Es en esta etapa donde la alimentación para el adolescente es un problema en relación a la comida lo mismo que al cuerpo, ya que son fuente de placer y conflicto provocando una discrepancia entre el deseo de que los chicos quieran cuerpos musculosos como las chicas cuerpos delgados, tal que por ambos tengan actitudes de preferencia hacia la comida que no logren alcanzar su objetivo. Además son susceptibles de seguir dietas de moda, tendencias a adelgazar, omitir comidas y pueden perjudicar su salud. El desayuno es una comida que muchos adolescentes no llevan a cabo. En esta etapa el objetivo es forjar hábitos saludables para contribuir a su salud en la vida adulta, que determine una buena calidad de vida. Por tal motivo la presente investigación trata de dar a conocer las actitudes de los adolescentes de acuerdo a los valores tradicionales o nuevos, al igual como el significado emocional, la importancia que dan al peso y apariencia, a las preferencias y aversiones, todo esto en relación a la comida y la importancia con respecto a su entorno social. Para ello se consideró un estudio descriptivo, prospectivo, transversal, en el cual se tomó el total de alumnos del turno matutino y vespertino de la preparatoria Ricardo Flores Magón del Estado de México por medio de una muestra aleatoria sistemática, estratificada siendo 706 alumnos de los cuales se incluyeron a aquellos que se encontraron en el rango de edad al momento de aplicar el instrumento y se excluyeron alumnos que fueran mayores de 18 años y alumnos que por voluntad propia no quisieran participar para analizar las actitudes de los adolescentes hacia la comida se aplicó un cuestionario. Donde como resultados de los valores tradicionales o nuevos de los adolescentes hacia la comida, justifican un acuerdo mayoritario de casi un 100% que es importante tomar un buen desayuno para comenzar el día

The culminating experience is based in exploring in depth the world of recording engineering and its possibilities to build an innovative bundle (sample pack) that showcases Colombian culture. The main idea behind the bundle musical wise: Provide tools to beat makers and producers that are unique and interesting but that also showcase the beauty and cultural traditions of Colombia. Engineering wise is for it to be very intuitive and that any person new or experienced in beatmaking can make good use of it. Designed to be a very musical pack, the samples will work with each other, this with the purpose of making the creation process more effective without losing the musicality. The pack will be divided in the following categories: One Shots, Loops, Kontakt Instruments, digital synthesizer presets and an audio effect rack. This way it would be possible to play the instruments on all the octaves of your MIDI Keyboard and to change certain dynamic and modulation parameters to taste. Objetivos clave de las Ciencias Marinas Españolas en el contexto europeo (2003-2007)

[EN] The analysis of the marine projects funded by the Spanish RTD funding agency between 2003 and 2007 in the framework of the European policies, showed that although the funds available have increased (232 projects and 33 Million € from 2003 to 2007) there are still research and strategic areas that are not covered. The relevance of marine related services and economic revenues for Spain requires that a strategy is developed to address the challenges that are emerging due to the growing competing uses of the sea, which include maritime transport, fishing, aquaculture, leisure activities, off-shore energy production and other forms of seabed exploitation. By helping to develop a more sophisticated understanding of the impact of human activities on marine systems, scientific research and technology may provide the key to carrying out seabased activities without degrading the environment, and to predicting and mitigating as far as possible the effects of climate change.[ES] Dentro del marco de las políticas europeas, el análisis de los proyectos sobre el medio marino sufragados por la Agencia Española de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación (I+D+I) durante los años 2003-2007 pone de manifiesto que, aunque se han incrementado las subvenciones concedidas (232 proyectos y 33 millones de euros en dicho período), existen todavía sin cubrir determinadas áreas estratégicas y de investigación. Real-time dynamics of axial charge and chiral magnetic current in a non-Abelian (expanding) plasma

Understanding axial charge dynamics driven by changes in Chern-Simons number densities is a key aspect in understanding the Chiral Magnetic Effect (CME) in heavy-ion collisions. Most phenomenological simulations assume that a large amount of axial charge is produced in the initial stages and that axial charge is conserved throughout the simulation. Within an (expanding) homogeneous holographic plasma, we investigate the real-time axial charge relaxation dynamics and their impact on the chiral magnetic current. Moreover, we discuss the real-time interplay of the non-abelian and the abelian chiral anomaly in the presence of a strong magnetic field. In the expanding plasma, the Chern-Simons diffusion rate and thus the axial charge relaxation rate are time dependent due to the decaying magnetic field. We quantify the changes in the late time falloffs and establish a horizon formula for the chiral magnetic current.Comment: 14+2 pages, 6+4 figure

Ammonia observations of the nearby molecular cloud MBM 12

We present NH3(1,1) and NH3(2,2) observations of MBM 12, the closest known molecular cloud (65 pc distance), aimed to find evidence for on-going star formation processes. No local temperature (with a T_rot upper limit of 12 K) nor linewidth enhancement is found, which suggests that the area of the cloud we mapped (~ 15' size) is not currently forming stars. Therefore, this close ``starless'' molecular gas region is an ideal laboratory to study the physical conditions preceding new star formation. A radio continuum source was found in Very Large Array archive data, close but outside the NH3 emission. This source is likely to be a background object.Comment: 8 pages, 3 figures, accepted by MNRA
