Adhesive nonwoven conductive fabrics are appealing materials for fabricating fully textile antennas for wearable wireless systems. Wearable antennas should be flexible, lightweight, and mechanically resistant. Additionally, the antenna performance should be robust to activities related to daily use of garments, such as washing and ironing. Accordingly, in this work, the results of several washing tests performed on fully textile antennas fabricated by exploiting three different adhesive nonwoven conductive fabrics are reported

A Network Approach for Wireless Resonant Energy Links Using Relay Resonators

In this paper, a network approach for the analysis of a wireless resonant energy link consisting of N inductively coupled LC resonators is proposed. By using an artificial transmission line approach, the wireless link is modeled as a transmission line described by effective parameters. It is shown that the analyzed system exhibits a passband filter behavior. More specifically, the reported results demonstrate that in the wireless link passband the effective parameters assume negative values resulting in a negative phase delay. Useful design formulas are derived and validated by comparisons with the experimental data

A Wearable Wireless Energy Link for Thin-Film Batteries Charging

A wireless charger for low capacity thin-film batteries is presented. The proposed device consists of a nonradiative wireless resonant energy link and a power management unit. Experimental data referring to a prototype operating in the ISM band centered at 434 MHz are presented and discussed. In more detail, in order to facilitate the integration into wearable accessories (such as handbags or suitcases), the prototype of the wireless energy link was implemented by exploiting a magnetic coupling between two planar resonators fabricated by using a conductive fabric on a layer of leather. From experimental data, it is demonstrated that, at 434 MHz, the RF-to-RF power transfer efficiency of the link is approximately 69.3%. As for the performance of the system as a whole, when an RF power of 7.5 dBm is provided at the input port, a total efficiency of about 29.7% is obtained. Finally, experiments performed for calculating the charging time for a low capacity thin-film battery demonstrated that, for RF input power higher than 6 dBm, the time necessary for recharging the battery is lower than 50 minutes

Pandemia e estado de exceção

This study, which is based on the hypothetical-deductive method and supported by bibliographic, documentary and descriptive research, seeks to prove that the performance of the head of the Brazilian government during the COVID-19 pandemic is characterized by the state of exception explained by Giorgio Agamben in his book State of exception (2004), especially in regard to the adoption of provisional measures on labor law. This research found that the Brazilian President, taking advantage of the pandemic caused by Covid-19, has promoted substantial changes in labor rights, with the unrestrictive support of the Supreme Federal Court. From the evidence, we conclude the existence and growing progress of a state of exception that justifies the precariousness of labor rights in Brazil.El presente estudio, fundamentado en el método hipotético-deductivo y amparado en la investigación bibliográfica, documental y descriptiva, busca evidenciar que la actuación del jefe del ejecutivo brasileño durante la pandemia, especialmente en cuanto a la adopción de medidas provisionales sobre el derecho laboral, caracteriza el estado de excepción definido por Giorgio Agamben en el libro Estado de excepción (2004). La investigación averiguó que el presidente de la República, aprovechándose del periodo de la pandemia ocasionada por la Covid-19, ha promovido alteraciones sustanciales en los derechos laborales, con el respaldo condescendiente del Supremo Tribunal Federal. Ante los resultados, se concluye por la existencia y creciente avance de un estado de excepción a justificar la precarización de los derechos sociales laborales en Brasil.O presente estudo, subsidiado pelo método hipotético-dedutivo e amparado em pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e descritiva, procura demonstrar que a atuação do Chefe do Executivo brasileiro durante a pandemia, especialmente no que diz respeito à adoção de medidas provisórias sobre o direito do trabalho, caracteriza o estado de exceção definido por Giorgio Agamben, notadamente como descrito no livro Estado de exceção (2004). A pesquisa apurou que o Presidente da República, aproveitando-se do período de pandemia provocada pela Covid-19, promoveu alterações profundas nos direitos laborais, contando com a postura condescendente do Supremo Tribunal Federal. This dissertation is the summary of a research about the evolution of the principle of substantiation of judicial decision and the interactions between that and other constitutional guarantees of process. The study intents to draw a scenery that reveals the relevance of such principle as well as the reach of eventual violations of it. The research focus specifically on some decisions of the Brazilian Supreme Court in order to verify how is the court responsible for defending the constitutional text substantiating its decisions and justifying a reductionist interpretation of such principle, what favors decisions with a solipsist trace.Partindo da análise da evolução do principio da fundamentação das decisões judiciais e de sua interação com as demais garantias constitucionais do processo, tais como o contraditório e a ampla defesa, o estudo busca traçar um panorama da relevância desse principio, bem como do alcance de eventuais violações ao mesmo. Nessa linha, o trabalho se debruça especificamente sobre alguns julgados do Supremo Tribunal Federal a fim de verificar como a corte encarregada de zelar pelo texto constitucional vem fundamentando suas decisões e justificando uma interpretação reducionista do principio da fundamentação, o que favorece julgados de caráter cada vez mais solipsista

This research aims to investigate the concept and implementation of juridical research seeking to establish benchmarks points for such activity. The central point of reflection is the role of innovation in researches developed in the field of law. The work specifically focuses on the role of juridical research and academic debates, using as parameter the master's theses produced in the last three years by the students from three of the most important educational institutions in the state of Minas Gerais.O presente trabalho se propõe a investigar o conceito e a operacionalização da pesquisa em sua modalidade jurídica, buscando estabelecer pontos balizadores para tal atividade. O ponto central da reflexão é o papel da inovação no âmbito da pesquisa no campo do Direito. Nessa linha, o trabalho se debruça especificamente sobre o papel da pesquisa jurídica e dos debates acadêmicos, tendo como parâmetro as dissertações de mestrado produzidas nos últimos três anos pelos dissentes de três das mais relevantes instituições de ensino do estado de Minas Gerais
