    A Study of Data Security on E-Governance using Steganographic Optimization Algorithms

    Steganography has been used massively in numerous fields to maintain the privacy and integrity of messages transferred via the internet. The need to secure the information has augmented with the increase in e-governance usage. The wide adoption of e-governance services also opens the doors to cybercriminals for fraudulent activities in cyberspace. To deal with these cybercrimes we need optimized and advanced steganographic techniques. Various advanced optimization techniques can be applied to steganography to obtain better results for the security of information. Various optimization techniques like particle swarm optimization and genetic algorithms with cryptography can be used to protect information for e-governance services. In this study, a comprehensive review of steganographic algorithms using optimization techniques is presented. A new perspective on using this technique to protect the information for e-governance is also presented. Deep Learning might be the area that can be used to automate the steganography process in combination with other method

    A restricted L(2, 1)-labelling problem on interval graphs

    In a graph G = (V, E), L(2, 1)-labelling is considered by a function ` whose domain is V and codomain is set of non-negative integers with a condition that the vertices which are adjacent assign labels whose difference is at least two and the vertices whose distance is two, assign distinct labels. The difference between maximum and minimum labels among all possible labels is denoted by λ2,1(G). This paper contains a variant of L(2, 1)-labelling problem. In L(2, 1)-labelling problem, all the vertices are L(2, 1)-labeled by least number of labels. In this paper, maximum allowable label K is given. The problem is: L(2, 1)-label the vertices of G by using the labels {0, 1, 2, . . . , K} such that maximum number of vertices get label. If K labels are adequate for labelling all the vertices of the graph then all vertices get label, otherwise some vertices remains unlabeled. An algorithm is designed to solve this problem.     Has Muslim Got Benefited from the National Health Mission? A Situational Analysis of Maternal Health Services in India

    BACKGROUND: It is a marked recognition that when the population is disaggregated by religion, wide disparities in the utilization of maternal health care services can be observed. The study was aimed to analyze the levels and trends of maternal health services among Muslims in India. The study also delineated the investigation of confounding factors attributed to maternal health services among the selected population.METHODS: The study utilized the data from the third and fourth round of National Family Health Survey (NFHS), conducted in 2005-06 and 2015-16 respectively. The bivariate and multivariate logistic regression models were employed to accomplish the study objectives.RESULT: There is an increasing trend in the distributional patterns of all three indicators (full ANC, SBA and PNC) during the last two successive surveys. Muslim women belonging to Southern States were seen to be utilizing more maternal health care services as compared to Muslim women in the Northern States. Muslim populated States like Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal were far cry to achieve the MDG-15 target of utilization of 100 percent skilled birth attendants in 2015. Education, media exposure and wealth status appeared to be major confounding factors for determining the utilization of maternal health services.CONCLUSION: The study revealed that the utilizations of maternal health services among Muslims have progressed during the last decade. It can be concluded that the NHM policy has played an instrumental role in increasing the utilization of maternal health services among Muslims

    Disparities in the contraceptive use among currently married women in Muslim densely populated States of India: An evidence from the nationally representative survey.

    Background: The rationalizations for low use of contraception and high fertility among Muslims compared to other religious group in India are highly controversial. The study was aimed to explain to what extent differences in the use of contraception exist among the religious groups and also examine its associated factors in the Muslim populated States in the country. Methods: The third round of District Level Household and Facility Survey (DLHS-3) was used to accomplish our objectives. Bivariate analysis was used to show the religion wise distribution of limiting, spacing and traditional methods of contraceptive use in relation to socio-economic characteristics. The multivariate logistic regression was also employed to estimate the odds ratio (95% CI) for contraceptive use. SPSS 20.0 version and Arc GIS 10.0 software were employed to carry out the analyses. Results: The study found that the prevalence of limiting contraceptive use was comparatively much lower among Muslims (19.9%) than Non-Muslims (39.3%). In comparison to Non-Muslims, Muslims used 3.5 percentage points and 2.6 percentage points spacing and traditional methods of contraception respectively. The Muslims women from Assam (3.4%), Uttar Pradesh (4.4%) and Bihar (8.3%) reported low use of limiting contraceptive methods as compared to other Muslim populated States. The highest difference in the limiting method was observed in Bihar (21 percentage points) and followed by West Bengal (19 percentage points) between Muslim and Non-Muslim. The level of education and place of residence appeared as the main explaining factors of family planning in the study. Conclusion: The study concluded that the significant inequalities exist among Muslims and Non-Muslims concerning the current use of limiting methods. The policy design and programmes should make on rural, uneducated women to take into account the inequalities in the contraceptive use. &nbsp

    Wire EDM Parameters for Surface Roughness in Straight Gear Manufacturing: An Experimental Study

    The gears are an essential component of any system. A gear is a spinning circular machine part with cut teeth, or inserted teeth (called cogs) in the case of a cogwheel or gearwheel, which mesh with another toothed part to convey torque. A gear is sometimes referred as a cog colloquially. Geared devices can adjust a power source's speed, torque, and direction. To eliminate backlash, high precision is required while making gears. Wire cut EDM is a high-precision machining technology that may manufacture high-precision straight gear. The goal of this research is to use the WEDM Process on an EMS 45 to determine the surface roughness of the workpiece and to optimise the influence of current and wire speed on the surface roughness of the straight gear. Wire cut machining parameters employed were 4, 6, and 8 amperes of current and 9, 11, and 13 mm/min of wire speed. Wire has a diameter of 0.25 mm, and the cutting material is brass. It has been demonstrated that as current and wire speed increase, surface roughness decreases, and vice versa. As a result, reduced machine settings can be used to generate a smoother and better workpiece surface

    Knowledge, attitudes and practice of adverse drug reaction monitoring among physicians in India

    Background: Underreporting of ADRs still remains a major obstacle in the complete success of pharmacovigilance programs. In order to improve ADR monitoring, it is thus imperative to assess the current knowledge, attitude, and practices of doctors. Therefore, the primary objective of this study was to evaluate the knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP) of the healthcare professionals about pharmacovigilance in various tertiary care government teaching hospital vis-a-vis private clinics in West Bengal.Methods: A cross sectional, questionnaire based survey was conducted among healthcare practitioners in several tertiary care government set-ups and private set-ups in the state of West Bengal (India). The study instrument was a pre-validated structured questionnaire designed to obtain information on the knowledge of the ADRs reporting, the attitudes towards the reporting, and the factors that in practice could hinder the reporting among the doctors.Results: About 89.62% public practitioners correctly spotted the WHO definition for pharmacovigilance, while 77.5% of the private practitioners did the same. Only 19.81% of the public practitioners documented a suspected ADR in any surveillance form, while there were only 3.75% private practitioners who documented it. About 59.43% of the physicians in government hospitals published an ADR case report in any medical journal, while 81.25% private practitioners did no.Conclusions: Study revealed lack of time, incentive less extra work load being major factors responsible for ADR underreporting. In order to improve ADR reporting, continuous medical education, training and proper sensitization of healthcare professionals can help combating the existing scenario and promising an improved tomorrow. The PvPI should be widely publicized in the visual and print media to make health professionals, as well as the general population at large aware of its presence and scope. Pharmacovigilance should be integrated in undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses

    Centrosymmetric-noncentrosymmetric Structural Phase Transition in Quasi one-dimensional compound, (TaSe4_4)3_3I

    (TaSe4_4)3_3I, a compound belonging to the family of quasi-one-dimensional transition-metal tetrachalcogenides, has drawn significant attention due to a recent report on possible coexistence of two antagonistic phenomena, superconductivity and magnetism below 2.5~K (Bera et. al, arXiv:2111.14525). Here, we report a structural phase transition of the trimerized phase at temperature, T ≃T~\simeq~145~K using Raman scattering, specific heat, and electrical transport measurements. The temperature-dependent single-crystal X-ray diffraction experiments establish the phase transition from a high-temperature centrosymmetric to a low-temperature non-centrosymmetric structure, belonging to the same tetragonal crystal family. The first-principle calculation finds the aforementioned inversion symmetry-breaking structural transition to be driven by the hybridization energy gain due to the off-centric movement of the Ta atoms, which wins over the elastic energy loss.Comment: 11 pages, 5 figures, Under review as a regular articl

    An S-Band Microstrip Patch Antenna Design and Simulation for Wireless Communication Systems

    In this paper, a 3.5 GHz microstrip patch antenna for the future of wireless communication is designed and studied. As a substrate, Rogers RT/Duroid5880 is utilized. This material has a thickness of 0.077mm and a dielectric loss of 2.2. The proposed antenna layout is simulated using the CST studio suite of software programs. This research aimed to achieve a lower return loss, higher gain, lower VSWR, directivity, and improved efficiency. The simulation revealed that the return loss, gain, VSWR, and directivity were correspondingly -13.772 dB, 7.55 dB, 1.5152, and 8.43dBi. The efficiency was 89.56%. This antenna has been developed and assessed for use in various wireless communication applications with a 3.5 GHz operating frequency, which is used as a reference antenna in communication satellites, weather radar, surface ship radar, wireless LAN-802.11b and 802.11g, multimedia applications in mobile TV and satellite radio, optical communications at 1460 to 1530 nm wavelength, and is utilized for other wireless fidelity applications

    Pentoxifylline Plus Prednisolone versus Pentoxifylline Only for Severe Alcoholic Hepatitis: A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial

    Background: Prednisolone and pentoxifylline (PTX) have been shown to be individually useful in severe alcoholic hepatitis with Maddrey discriminant function (MDF) score .32. Previous report suggests that PTX is probably superior to prednisolone alone. However the efficacy of PTX and prednisolone combination over PTX alone in the management of acute alcoholic hepatitis (MDF score ≥32) is yet unrevealed.Aim: The present study was initiated to find out the efficacy of combined pentoxifylline and prednisolone versus PTX alone in acute alcoholic  hepatitis in respect of short and intermediate term outcomes.Subjects and Methods: A total of 124 patients with severe alcoholic hepatitis (MDF score ≥32) initially were evaluated. 62 patients who fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria were randomized and divided into 2 groups. Group 1 received PTX only, whereas Group 2 received PTX plus Prednisolone. The total duration of follow-up was 12 months. Studentfs t-test, Chi-square test, the Kaplan-Meier methods were used forstatistical analysis. Results: A total of 60 patients, 30 in each group were available for finalanalysis. In Group-1, 6 patients expired at the end of 1 year (5 within 3 months and another after 3 months). In Group 2, 10 patients expired at the end of 1 year (9 within 3 months and another after 3 months). Though survival probability is higher among Group 1 patients but the difference is not statistically significant.Conclusion: The combination of PTX plus Prednisolone yields no additional benefit in terms of mortality and morbidity from that of PTX monotherapy.Keywords: Alcoholic hepatitis, Maddrey discriminant function score,  Pentoxifylline, Prednisolon
