El sitio de los dólmenes de Antequera en la obra de Georg y Vera Leisner: una revisión

The Antequera dolmens site (Malaga, Spain), included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since July 2016, has a research history of almost 200 years that goes back to the work of Rafael Mitjana y Ardison in the 1840s. After the discovery of the Viera dolmen and El Romeral tholos, in 1903 and 1904 respectively, the research of the great megalithic site received a renewed impulse. Published in 1943, the first volume of the corpus of Iberian megalithic monuments by Georg and Vera Leisner (Die Megalithgräber der Iberischen Halbinsel, Erster Teil: Der Süden) was to become the most detailed study of the Antequera site during the second half of the 20th century, despite the fact that being published in German limited its penetration among the Spanish scholarship. Here, we review the importance of the work of the Leisners to understand the Antequera megaliths in light of the results of the research that has been undertaken in the last 15 years. Many of the issues raised by the German couple continue to be fully pertinent within the context of today’s research on these monuments. In addition, to facilitate future access to their work, this paper is accompanied by full translations into English and Spanish of the Leisners’s text on the Antequera megaliths.El sitio de los dólmenes de Antequera (Málaga, España), inscrito en la Lista del Patrimonio Mundial de UNESCO desde julio de 2016, cuenta con una historia de investigación de casi 200 años que se remonta al trabajo de Rafael Mitjana y Ardison en la década de 1840. Tras el descubrimiento del dolmen de Viera y el tholos de El Romeral, en 1903 y 1904 respectivamente, la investigación del gran sitio megalítico antequerano experimentó un fuerte impulso. Publicado en 1943, el primer volumen del gran corpus de monumentos megalíticos ibéricos de Georg y Vera Leisner (Die Megalithgräber der Iberischen Halbinsel. Erster Teil: Der Süden) habría de convertirse en el estudio más detallado del sitio antequerano durante toda la segunda mitad del siglo XX, a pesar de que el hecho de estar publicado en alemán lo hacía de difícil acceso para muchos estudiosos españoles. En este artículo revisamos la importancia de la obra de los Leisners para entender los megalitos antequeranos a la luz de los resultados de las investigaciones que se vienen desarrollando desde hace 15 años. Son muchas las cuestiones planteadas en la obra del matrimonio alemán que siguen teniendo plena vigencia en la investigación actual de estos monumentos. Transformational Leadership, Task-Involving Climate, and Their Implications in Male Junior Soccer Players: A Multilevel Approach

Despite the well-known positive consequences of transformational coaches in sport, there is still little research exploring the mechanisms through which coaches’ transformational leadership exerts its impact on athletes. Multilevel SEM was used to examine the relationship between coaches’ transformational leadership style, a task-involving climate, and leadership effectiveness outcome criteria (i.e., players’ extra effort, coach effectiveness, and satisfaction with their coach), separately estimating between and within effects. A representative sample of 625 Spanish male soccer players ranging from 16 to 18 years old and nested in 50 teams completed a questionnaire package tapping the variables of interest. Results confirmed that at the team level, team perceptions of transformational leadership positively predicted teams’ perceptions of task climate, which in turn positively predicted the three outcome criteria. At the individual level, players’ perceptions of transformational leadership positively predicted teams’ perceptions of task climate, which in turn positively predicted teams’ extra effort and coach effectiveness. Mediation effects appeared at the team level for all the outcome criteria, and at the individual only for extra effort. Transformational leadership is recommended to enhance task climate, in order to increase players’ extra effort, their perceptions of the effectiveness of their coach, and their satisfaction with his/her leadership style

Videoconferencing of inmates with the defence lawyer or with the lawyer expressly called in relation to criminal matters

El uso de la videoconferencia en la Administración de Justicia española, y, más concretamente, en el proceso penal español, no es algo novedoso, ni siquiera en los centros penitenciarios, donde desde hace más de una década se hace uso de esta tecnología para facilitar la práctica de algunas actuaciones judiciales. Sin embargo, su uso para otros fines es completa o prácticamente inexistente, a pesar de que puede ser muy adecuada, entre otras cosas, para facilitar las comunicaciones entre el interno y sus familiares, para que se le preste al interno asistencia médica, o para las comunicaciones por videoconferencia de los internos con el abogado defensor o con el abogado expresamente llamado en relación con asuntos penales. Precisamente, este trabajo se centra en esta última posibilidad al analizar si actualmente este tipo de comunicaciones está regulada o no en la normativa penitenciaria española, si existen antecedentes al respecto en nuestro país, qué ventajas y deseventajas presenta, cómo ha de desarrollarse y qué garantías debe tener.The use of videoconferencing in the Spanish Administration of Justice, and more specifically, in the Spanish criminal process, is not something new, not even in prisons, where for more than a decade this technology has been used to facilitate the practice of some judicial proceedings. However, its use for other purposes is complete or practically non-existent, although it may be very appropriate, among other things, to facilitate communications between the inmate and his family, to provide the inmate with medical assistance, or for videoconferencing of inmates with the defence lawyer or with the lawyer expressly called in relation to criminal matters. Precisely, this work focuses on the latter possibility when analysing whether this type of communication is currently regulated or not in the Spanish penitentiary regulations, if there are antecedents in this respect in our country, what advantages and disadvantages does it present, how it must be developed and what guarantees it must have

Intra-household Time Allocation: Gender Differences in Caring for Children

Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht auf Basis von Daten des Sozio-oekonomischen Panels für Deutschland (SOEP), inwieweit selbständige Ausländer in Deutschland überdurchschnittlich hohe Einkommen erzielen. Die Untersuchung zeigt, dass ausländische Selbständige insgesamt höhere Einkommen erzielen als angestellt tätige Ausländer und dass der Unterschied größer ist als bei Selbständigen deutscher Nationalität. Die Konsequenzen dieser Untersuchungsergebnisse für Wirtschaftspolitikund Gründungslehre werden diskutiert. Die Ergebnisse der Untersuchung zeigen differenzierten Forschungsbedarf im Hinblick auf unterschiedliche Optionen der Entrepreneurship Education. This paper analyses the intra-household allocation of time to show gender differences in childcare. In the framework of a general efficiency approach, hours spent on childcare by each parent are regressed against individual and household characteristics, for five samples (Denmark, France, Germany, Italy and Spain), with data being drawn from the European Community Household Panel-ECHP (1994-2001). Empirical results show a clear inequality in childcare between fathers and mothers, with this being more evident in Mediterranean countries. Panel data estimates reveal that, in general, caring tasks are mainly influenced by the presence of young children in the household, by the total non-labor income, and by the ratio of mothers' non-labor income to family's non-labor income, with this latter variable exhibiting a different behavior across genders and across countries.Childcare, gender differences, intra-household allocation, time use

The Michelson system

Nonetheless, this system has its own relevance in itself, as it possesses some rich dynamics. In particular, the Michelson system is an interesting system to study since it is non-Hamiltonian, volume preserving and has a time reversing symmetry. In this work we will study the main properties of the system from a theoretical and a numerical point of view. More precisely, in the theoretical part we introduce the properties mentioned above and study the equilibrium points stability and their invariant manifolds. Moreover, some results on the existence of some type of orbits are also given. For the numerical part, we implement an algorithm to integrate orbits and give detailed methods to find periodic orbits. However, the main result of this block is the implementation of an algorithm to find the heteroclinic orbits of the Michelson system

What is a Society? Gabriel Tarde’s Philosophy of Appropriations

Hace apenas una década Gabriel Tarde era desconocido para la mayoría de profesores e investigadores de las ciencias sociales o la filosofía. Asistimos, en el nuevo milenio, a una multiplicación exponencial de las referencias a su pensamiento y obra. “El regreso de Tarde” propicia diferentes preguntas que obligan a análisis alejados de fáciles hagiografías, de abusivas apropiaciones o rechazos y de otros peligros comunes a toda exhumación de un corpus enterrado. Por todo ello, el presente artículo persigue dos objetivos. Primero, presentar esquemáticamente el sistema filosófico de Tarde. Su “ontologie de l’avoir”, la otra metafísica, propia de ciertos pensadores europeos de finales del siglo XIX, desemboca en un vitalismo que se opone a cualquier totalización o clausura física, biológica o social. La neo-monadología tardeana y sus derivaciones sociológicas se deducen de ciertas vías metafísicas sobre la naturaleza del universo, de los elementos que lo componen y de la perpetua acción que ejercen unos sobre otros. Ontología del tener, sostenida en un psicomorfismo y sociomorfismo universal, que sustituye a la tradicional ontología del ser y presenta una original forma de cartografía de la constitución de las sociedades. En segundo lugar, señalaremos algunas intuiciones acerca de los usos de Tarde. Su vuelta puede ser pensada como moda que rescata y consume “antiguos autores menores” alegando el agotamiento de los paradigmas hegemónicos clásicos; pero también como política de memoria y restitución de saberes sometidos/olvidados por el concurso de lógicas más poderosas. La pregunta más urgente es a nuestro juicio: ¿para qué sirve el renacido Tarde? Apuntamos apenas amagos de respuesta. Lejos de cerrar las preguntas pretendemos reabrirlas en la dirección de un trabajo más amplio y detenido que ya está en marcha

Recreational science: a didactic resource for delighting people while teaching

En este artículo se abordan diferentes facetas de la ciencia recreativa, tanto en el contexto social como en el educativo. Tras considerar las posibilidades de la ciencia recreativa como herramienta docente, se llega a las siguientes conclusiones: (i) la ciencia recreativa es muy adecuada para capturar la atención y estimular el interés por la ciencia de los estudiantes (y también del público general); (ii) debidamente contextualizada puede desempeñar una función válida en el aula; (iii) ofrece grandes posibilidades para la realización de trabajos prácticos (con diferentes materiales –principalmente cotidianos y baratos– y en entornos muy variados), y (iv) hacer de la enseñanza-aprendizaje una experiencia divertida es positivo para estudiantes y profesores. Por todo ello, si se usa convenientemente, la ciencia recreativa se convierte en un magnífico recurso en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje
