Network device ad-blocker
While surfing the web, users are frequently bombarded with the abundance of digital advertisements, or simply called ads, in the form of images and videos. These often unwanted and sometimes obnoxious ads can be blocked by installing an often lagging ad-blocker in the web browser on your computer. This becomes even complicated in smartphones and tablets, as ads can also appear in other apps. Therefore, this project introduces the Network Device Ad-Blocker hardware to overcome the mentioned problems. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology is used to realize this project. Subsequent testing shows that no ads appear after the deployment this hardware with significant improvements in the download speed
Photohydrogen Production Using Tandem Cell
Today, hydrogen is primarily used as a chemical feedstock in the petrochemical, food,
electronics, and metallurgical processing industries. It is also rapidly emerging as a
major component in clean sustainable energy systems. Although hydrogen is considered
clean energy, its most practiced production method, steam reforming of natural gas
releases large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, promoting the greenhouse
effect and global warming. Among the alternative methods of production that scientists
are delving into are photocatalytic reactions. However, the efficiency and availability of
photocatalysts which can be activated by the solar spectrum or reduced sunlight
conditions is limited. Thus, the aim of this study is to investigate and develop the
process of photohydrogen production using tandem cell in order to allow improved
absorption of the visible region of sunlight. Two types of photocatalysts, copper-doped
and iron-doped titania are used in this experiment, each with three different weight
loadings. The photocatalysts were prepared using precipitation method. After
preparation, the photocatalysts are characterized using the Diffuse Reflectance UV-Vis
(DRS), the X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), the Field Emission Scanning Electron
Microscope (FESEM) and the Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) Spectra. The results
of these analyses are included in the report. The tandem cell is constructed and reaction
studies using the photocatalysts and the tandem cell are conducted. The reaction studies
are done to observe the amount of hydrogen produced from distilled water and seawater,
and to see the performance of each photocatalyst in comparison with the tandem cell
setup. From the reaction studies, 5wt% Cu-Ti02 and 1.5wt% Fe-Ti02 are found to
exhibit the best performance and are used in comparison with the tandem cell setup.
Upon comparison, it is found that although the tandem cell falls short of the copper
doped catalyst in terms of hydrogen production, it exceeds the performance of the ferum
doped catalyst significantly. It can be concluded that the tandem cell is applicable in
photohydrogen production, thus the project objective is achieved

Utilizing multifaceted requirement traceability approach: a case study
Software evolution is inevitable. When a system evolves, there are certain relationships among software artifacts that must be maintained. Requirement traceability is one of the important factors in facilitating software evolution since it maintains the artifacts relationship before and after a change is performed. Requirement traceability can be expensive activities. Many researchers have addressed the problem of requirement traceability, especially to support software evolution activities. Yet, the evaluation results of these approaches show that most of them typically provide only limited support to software evolution. Based on the problems of requirement traceability, we have identified three directions that are important for traceability to support software evolution, i.e. process automation, procedure simplicity, and best results achievement. Those three directions are addressed in our multifaceted approach of requirement traceability. This approach utilizes three facets to generate links between artifacts, i.e. syntactical similarity matching, link prioritization, and heuristic-list based processes. This paper proposes the utilization of multifaceted approach to traceability generation and recovery in facilitating software evolution process. The complete experiment has been applied in a real case study. The results show that utilization of these three facets in generating the traceability among artifacts is better than the existing approach, especially in terms of its accuracy
Comparison of food choice motives between malay husbands and wives in an urban community.
The main objective of this study was to determine the motives underlying the selection of foods between husbands and wives in an urban community. This cross-sectional study was carried out in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia among 150 married couples aged 20 and above, who voluntarily agreed to participate and were not on any special diet. Data were collected using the Food Choice Questionnaire (FCQ) which measured the health-related and non healthrelated factor that influence people's food choices. It consisted of 36 items designed to assess the reported importance of nine factors: health, mood, convenience, sensory appeal, natural content, price, weight control, familiarity, and ethical concern. In this study, the FCQ was adapted and a new factor, religion (religious guidelines), was included. Demographic characteristics including age, occupation, education, household income and household size were also collected. Data were analysed using SPSS version 16. Results showed that 40.7% of husbands (mean age= 43.33 + 11.16 years) and 55.3% of wives (mean age= 41.28 + 10.93 years) perceived themselves as the main food shopper while 12.0% of the husbands and 85.3% of the wives perceived themselves as the main meal planner. Husbands rated religion as the most prominent factor in food choice motives with a mean average rating of 4.56 + 0.59 on a 5-point rating scale, followed by health and convenience factor. Meanwhile, the wives rated health as the most essential factor with mean average rating of 4.49 + 0.58, followed by religion and convenience factor. Sensory appeal, ethical concerns and familiarity were rated as the bottom three factors of food choice motives among these two groups. Price of foods was not considered as an important factor in making food choices for the subjects in this study. In conclusion, the husbands and wives of this urban community rated religion, health and convenience as the three most important food choice motives in food selection
