Second harmonic Hamiltonian: Algebraic and Schrödinger approaches

    Get PDF
We study in detail the behavior of the energy spectrum for the second harmonic generation (SHG) and a family of corresponding quasi-exactly solvable Schrödinger potentials labeled by a real parameter b. The eigenvalues of this system are obtained by the polynomial deformation of the Lie algebra representation space. We have found the bi-confluent Heun equation (BHE) corresponding to this system in a differential realization approach, by making use of the symmetries. By means of a b-transformation from this second-order equation to a Schrödinger one, we have found a family of quasi-exactly solvable potentials. For each invariant n-dimensional subspace of the second harmonic generation, there are either n potentials, each with one known solution, or one potential with n-known solutions. Well-known potentials like a sextic oscillator or that of a quantum dot appear among them

Objectives E-cadherin is a transmembrane glycoprotein, which is responsible for cell adhesion and its expression decreases in dysplastic lesions. This study aimed to assess the expression of this marker in oral lichen planus (OLP) with and without dysplasia to assess its potential for use as a predictor of malignant transformation. Methods This descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted on 44 OLP specimens using immunohistochemistry (IHC) by streptavidin- biotin technique. For this purpose, E-cadherin antibody was used and the intensity score (IS), proportional score (PS) and total score (TS) were calculated. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 21. The relationship between the intensity of expression of E-cadherin and dysplastic changes was assessed using the Mann Whitney U test. P < 0.05 was considered significant. Results The TS of E-cadherin expression was 3 to 6 and 3 in the superficial and deep layers of 100% of specimens with dysplasia, respectively. The TS of E-cadherin expression was 3 to 6 in the superficial layer of 82.5% of specimens and 3 in deep layers of 81.2% of specimens without dysplasia. According to the Mann Whitney U test, the expression of E-cadherin in the superficial (P = 0.90) and deep (P = 0.35) layers was not significantly different between the two groups of OLP with and without dysplasia. Conclusion No significant difference was found in the expression of E-cadherin in OLP specimens with and without dysplasia. It may be concluded that in contrast to other preneoplastic lesions, dysplastic changes of OLP do not follow other malignant transformation patterns in the oral mucosa

Success in the life depends on the fact that if a person can think about his own and others’ emotional experiences and can give organized emotional answers. People are different in their capabilities to identify their own and other’s feelings, to order them and to use emotional information. These capabilities are organized within a framework called emotional intelligence. The main goal of this research is to study the relation between emotional intelligence and group effectiveness in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance. Research hypotheses were analyzed through correlation and multi-variable regression tests. The findings show that from among sub-variables of emotional intelligence, extra personal characteristics of emotional intelligence have a direct and significant relation with group effectiveness. Moreover, from among intrapersonal characteristics, variables such as self-awareness, self-presentation and self-esteem have a direct and significant relation with group effectiveness. Three sub-variables of characteristics of stress control, adaptability and social skill have no relation with group effectiveness

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a chronic abdominal pain with the change of defecation. The present study aimed to compare the effects of standard medical treatment plus stress management treatment and standard medical treatment alone in IBS symptoms and quality of life. An experimental study has been carried out among participants with Rome-III diagnostic criteria. Participants randomly assigned into two groups. The case group received the standard medical treatment plus stress management treatment, n= 15, while, the control group received the standard medical treatment alone, n= 15. The training programs were contain 8 domains of relaxation, cognation reproduce, contrast skills training, express trains and problem solving, anger management training and social supports. Data were collected using demographic, ROME III, Bowel Syndrome Symptom Severity Score and Quality of Life- IBS. Overall, 30 male participants were evaluated. The age range of participants was 25-55 years. The stress management training could decrease the ROME-II scores. Also the stress management training has a significant effect on quality of life and the HSE. Therefore, it is necessary that IBS suffering referred to psychologists for psychotherapy while they are under medical treatment

In this article, a full-term male neonate with Harlequin fetus has been reported. It was born from a 20 year old mother by the Caesarean operation. In the clinical examination, broad, thick and hard hyperkeratotic disks were observed all troughs the body with extended gashes among them in the skin. The deformity of the face, the eyes server ectropion, the orbital chemosis and the flattening of the nose and the ears were among other disorders to be observed. The lips were overturned. There were no nails or hairs to be seen. The movements of the joint were limited. Hands and legs, in particular in the extremities were on a state of fixed gangrene and seemed to be ischemic. The patient died in the third day of hospitalization due to indicators of respiratory infections and the sepsis
