Los avalúos de los aprendizajes: una práctica de valor en UNAPEC
Una de las implicaciones del proceso de acreditación internacional de los programas del área de negocios de esta universidad ha sido la implementación de un sistema de avalúos de los aprendizajes. Mediante este sistema, la universidad ha empezado a verificar y a constatar la medida en que sus estudiantes terminan sus carreras con el dominio adecuado de las competencias básicas y profesionales que dichos programas prometen como parte del perfil de sus egresados. Aparte de sus obvios beneficios, los avalúos han implicado un decidido mejoramiento de la calidad de la enseñanza-aprendizaje en la universidad, pues estandariza los instrumentos y criterios de evaluación en función de indicadores de desempeño y calidad internacionales, induce e impulsa a los docentes a intensificar sus esfuerzos pedagógicos para que sus estudiantes logren dominar determinadas e importantes competencias, facilita la actualización de los programas educativos correspondientes y genera relevantes consecuencias para la mejora de todo el esquema formativo universitario

Por uma definição do professor de ensino precoce de línguas em Portugal: um estudo de caso

numa fase mais avançada do que em Portugal. Pretendemos, neste estudo, fazer
o ponto de situação em Portugal quanto ao ensino precoce de línguas, definir o
perfil do professor de línguas estrangeiras no Ensino Básico e perceber qual a
idade ideal para a aquisição de línguas estrangeiras. De forma a enriquecer este
estudo, centrámos a nossa atenção nas razões para a aquisição de línguas neste
nível de ensino e realizámos um estudo de caso que compreende a realização de
conversações por chat entre alunos portugueses e suíços do Ensino Básico.In the rest of Europe the foreign languages early teaching is more advanced
than in Portugal. With this study we aim to define both the situation Portugal is
living regarding this issue, understand which the profile of the teacher of foreign languages
is at an early stage and perceive which the ideal age to start studying foreign
languages is. In order to enrich this study, we focused our attention in the reasons for
the acquisition of languages at a primary school level and made a study case which is

Storytelling as Media Literacy and Intercultural Dialogue in Post‐Colonial Societies

UIDP/05021/2020This article reflects upon digital storytelling and collaborative media practices as valuable tools for reassessing memory, questioning identity discourses, and unveiling the cultural diversity of contemporary societies. The digital age allows for a constant re‐reading and re‐mediation of cultural archives by ordinary citizens, namely by younger generations, and for the production and dissemination of alternative narratives about the present. These are crucial opportunities for post‐colonial societies to overcome silences around difficult memories that hinder a collective reappropriation of the past, confront some of the current issues on ethnical diversity, and discrimination and reimagine a more inclusive identity. However, taking advantage of this opportunity implies fully recognizing the role of media technology in shaping memory, social individuation and establishing networks, making media literacy and media education crucial aspects of cultural dialogue. Based on the experience of a citizenship project about the post‐colonial condition and Afro‐European interculturality, this essay reflects on digital storytelling, and co‐creative practices as relevant literacy and education strategies for furthering interculturality in contemporary societies.publishersversionpublishe
Estudio de vulnerabilidad sísmica de la I.E emblemática San Juan de la ciudad de Trujillo
El presente trabajo de investigación denominado ESTUDIO DE VULNERABILIDAD SÍSMICA DE LA I.E. EMBLEMÁTICA SAN JUAN DE LA CIUDAD DE TRUJILLO, se realizó con el objetivo de determinar el grado de vulnerabilidad sísmica así como de plantear propuestas de reforzamiento ante los principales problemas identificados, con la finalidad de prevenir y mitigar los posibles daños que pueda sufrir la edificación ante la ocurrencia de un sismo. Para ello, se evaluó de forma visual y analítica los pabellones A, C y J con los 11 parámetros descritos en el método del índice de vulnerabilidad de Benedetti y Petrini, que representan las características más importantes en una edificación y cuya influencia podría ser significativa durante un sismo. Así mismo se realizó la modelación estructural del pabellón C del centro educativo en el software ETABS, con la finalidad de determinar su comportamiento sísmico, tomando como base los lineamientos la norma de sismorresistencia E.030. Para la evaluación de la edificación con la metodología descrita, se tuvo en cuenta los resultados del estudio de suelos y el ensayo de esclerometría realizado a los principales elementos estructurales.
Los resultados obtenidos con el método de Benedetti y Petrini fueron de un grado de vulnerabilidad media – baja para los tres pabellones evaluados. Así mismo el análisis de la modelación estructural cumplió con los desplazamientos máximos relativos y con la fuerza cortante de la norma E.030. El resultado del control de agrietamiento realizado en base a la norma E.070, indica que algunos muros de concreto y albañilería en ambas direcciones se agrietarían ante la ocurrencia de un sismo y los resultados de la resistencia al corte global muestra la necesidad de reforzamiento en las dos direcciones principales de la edificación.
Como un complemento al presente estudio, se consideró otros aspectos no descritos en el método del índice de vulnerabilidad y que podrían representar problemas durante un sismo como: columna corta, corrosión y falta de verticalidad en aceros de columnas, pérdida del recubrimiento en algunos elementos estructurales, esbeltez de columnas, falta de arriostramiento de los alfeizeres, mala calidad del unidades de albañilería en los parapetos de las azoteas.
Finalmente se realizó una serie de propuestas de reforzamiento ante los problemas encontrados así como el planteamiento de un nuevo diseño estructural, manteniendo sus dimensiones originales y la distribución de sus ambientes.The present research work called STUDY OF SEISMIC VULNERABILITY OF THE I.E. SAN JUAN EMBLEMÁTICA OF THE CITY OF TRUJILLO was carried out with the objective to determine the degree of seismic vulnerability as well as to propose proposals of reinforcement before the main problems identified, in order to prevent and mitigate the possible damages that can undergo the construction before the occurrence Of an earthquake. To do this, the A, C and J pavilions were evaluated visually and analytically with the 11 parameters described in the Benedetti and Petrini vulnerability index method, which represent the most important characteristics in a building and whose influence could be significant during An earthquake. Also, the structural model of the C-block of the educational center was carried out in the ETABS software, in order to determine its seismic behavior, based on the E.030 seismic resistance standard. For the evaluation of the building with the methodology described, we took into account the results of the soil study and the sclerometry test performed on the main structural elements. The results obtained with the method of Benedetti and Petrini were of a medium - low vulnerability degree for the three pavilions evaluated. Also the analysis of the structural modeling complied with the relative maximum displacements and with the shear force of the standard E.030. Cracking control based on E.070 shows faults of masonry walls in a moderate earthquake and overall shear strength shows the need for reinforcement in the Y direction. As a complement to the present study, other aspects not described in the vulnerability index method were considered and could represent problems during an earthquake such as: short column, corrosion and lack of verticality in column steels, loss of coating in some structural elements, Slenderness of columns, lack of bracing of alfeizeres, poor quality of the masonry units in the parapets of the roofs. Finally, a series of proposals was made to reinforce the problems encountered as well as the proposal of a new structural design, maintaining its original dimensions and the distribution of its environment
Particle interaction with binary-fluid interfaces in the presence of wetting effects
In this paper, we present an Eulerian-Lagrangian methodology to simulate the
interaction between a fluid-fluid interface and a solid particle in the
presence of wetting effects. The target physical problem is represented by
ternary phase systems in which a solid phase and a drop phase interact inside
an incompressible Newtonian carrier fluid. The methodology is based on an
Eulerian-Lagrangian approach that allows for the numerical solution of the
Continuity and Navier-Stokes equations by using a pseudo-spectral method,
whereas the drop phase is modelled by the Phase Field Method, in which a smooth
transition layer represented by an hyperbolic function is considered both
across the solid-fluid interface and across the drop-fluid interface. Finally,
the solid phase is described in the form of a virtual force using the Direct
Forcing Immersed Boundary approach. The properties of the immersed solid phase
(including wetting effects), the deformability of the drops and the
characteristics of the carrier fluid flow are the main controlling parameters.
To simulate a ternary phase system, the solid phase is coupled to the
binary-fluid phase by introducing a single well potential in the free-energy
density functional, which can also control the solid surface wetting property.
The capabilities of the methodology are proven by examining first 2D and 3D
validation cases in which a solid particle is settling in a quiescent fluid.
Then, the interaction of solid particles with a binary-fluid interface and the
effects of surface wetting on the submergence of a quasi-buoyant body are
discussed. Finally, the equilibrium configuration for a solid particle
interacting with an equally-sized drop at different contact angles and the
relative rotation of two solid particles bridged by a drop are examined in the
case the interaction is induced by shear fluid flow deformations on the drop
interface
