Empreendimentos solidários femininos: a experiência de um banco comunitário de desenvolvimento

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to understand the relationship between the granting of microcredit in a community development bank and the performance of female solidarity enterprises.Methodology: This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach and a theoretical-empirical nature. The data were submitted to the content analysis technique for organisation and interpretation of the findings.Findings: From the results, it can be concluded that the granting of microcredit by the community bank can positively influence the performance of female solidarity enterprises, but it has some limiting factors, such as a low credit limit.Originality: This study analyses the relationship between the microcredit concession processes and the development of female solidarity enterprises.Keywords: Microfinance; Community development bank; Women's solidarity enterprises.Objetivos: O objetivo desta pesquisa é compreender a relação entre a concessão de microcrédito em banco comunitário de desenvolvimento e a atuação de empreendimentos solidários femininos.Metodologia: A pesquisa descritiva tem abordagem qualitativa e natureza teórico-empírica. Os dados foram submetidos à técnica de análise de conteúdo para organização e interpretação dos achados.Constatações: A partir dos resultados, pode-se concluir que a concessão do microcrédito por parte do banco comunitário pode influenciar positivamente a atuação dos empreendimentos solidários femininos, mas possui alguns fatores limitantes, dentre eles baixo limite de crédito disponibilizado.Originalidade/valor: Análise da relação entre os processos de concessão de microcrédito e o desenvolvimento de empreendimentos femininos solidários

Mining and the Sustainable Development Goals: A Systematic Literature Review

193 United Nations members are signatories of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Even though it does not make it legally binding to the country members, the SDGs establishment incites national and managerial frameworks to achieve the SDGs. The mining industry inserts itself in this context by its global presence and frequent location within ecologically sensitive and less developed areas. This paper aims to consolidate the state of academic research on mining, sustainability and sustainable development, by organizing the results of previous studies within a systematic review on the SDGs set. To do so, the ISI Web of ScienceTM Core Collection database was chosen as a database of record, as it is one of the most widespread databases of academic journals. We have used all years available in the ISI database, from 1945 to 2016 (for complete years). The systematic review process comprised of five steps: (i) to search terms [(“sustainability” or “sustainable development”) and mining] on the database and to apply filters of criteria; (ii) organizing papers; (iii) metrics and relations between papers and authors; (iv) classification of the results through content analysis techniques; and (v) synthesis. The results were divided in two groups: the highly cited and the most recent papers, to include papers that have academic impact and those which show the newest contributions to the field. The results showed that, in spite of a growing amount of publications in the past years that relates to mining and sustainability, the main focus of these publications are still on the environmental dimensions of the UN goals. This suggests that more practical and academic work in the mining sector are required to fill in the blank spaces regarding the other set of goals that compose the SDGs framework

As práticas de consumo de moda de mulheres millennials: entre o fast e o slow fashion

Purpose: The ephemeral nature of fast fashion has influenced a change in people's thinking around the world about its production and consumption practices. This change in social behavior has been noticed, as people question the current way of consuming and provoke what has been called slow fashion. In this way, how is the adherence to 'practices' of fashion consumption, considered as slow fashion, by young women, an age group inserted in the millennials classification? Would it be a transition from fast to slow?Design/methodology/approach: This research has a qualitative approach, and its type is classified as exploratory, making use of the interview as a data collection technique.Findings: The results showed a steady consumption within the large retail of fast fashion due to low prices, convenience, and easy access. However, the interviewees showed trends in positioning for the consumption of slow products.Originality/value: It is concluded that fast fashion, until nowadays, is the concrete and hegemonic practice of fashion consumption, and it is not possible to view it as an ex-practice, since the three criteria of its classification still remain connected. As for slow fasion, this is in a proto-practice state, as component elements are identified, but connections have not yet been made.Finalidade: A natureza efêmera da moda fast tem influenciado uma mudança de pensamento de pessoas ao redor do mundo acerca das suas práticas de produção e consumo. Esta mudança de comportamento social vem sendo percebida, pois pessoas questionam a atual maneira de consumir e provocam o que tem sido nomeado de slow fashion. Desta maneira, como se dá a adesão de ‘práticas’ de consumo de moda, tidas como slow fashion por mulheres jovens, grupo etário inserido na classificação millennials? Seria uma transição do fast ao slow?Metodologia: Esta pesquisa é de abordagem qualitativa e quanto a seu tipo se classifica como exploratória, fazendo uso da entrevista como técnica de coleta de dados.Resultados: Os resultados apontaram um consumo assíduo dentro do grande varejo de fast fashion, decorrente de fatores como preços baixos, comodidade e fácil acesso. Contudo, as entrevistadas apresentaram tendências de posicionamento para o consumo de produtos slow.Originalidade: Conclui-se que o fast fashion, até o momento, é a prática concreta e hegemônica do consumo de moda, não sendo possível visualizá-la como ex-prática, posto que os três critérios de sua classificação ainda se mantêm conectados. Quanto ao slow, este se encontra um estado de proto-prática, pois são identificados elementos componentes, mas as conexões ainda não foram realizadas

La emergencia de ambientes organizacionales virtuales y la producción de subjetividades

Contemporáneamente, cada individuo reinventa sus modos de relacionarse y su subjetividad y significación. La movilidad física, la velocidad de la propagación de informaciones y la transitoriedad del eslabón entre los emisores y receptores de informaciones reconfiguran el mercado y sus agentes son impulsados a una adecuación. La problemática reside en investigación de la emergencia de nuevos ambientes que redefinen relaciones sociales. Fue hecho un estudio cualitativo de inspiraciones etnográficas, apoyado en observaciones virtuales de las hablas hechas con mujeres internautas. La intención ha sido demonstrar la influencia del acceso diario a blogs de opinión en la percepción de estos espacios como empresas con finalidad lucrativa e intenciones directivas. “BRASIL, DECIME QUÉ SE SIENTE”: UM ESTUDO SOBRE AGLOMERAÇÃO NA COPA DO MUNDO

This study investigates visitor reactions to the human and spatial agglomeration of World Cup stadiums, relating the variable of crowding perception to emotions and consumer’s satisfaction. The largest world event based on a single sport, the Cup moves millions of tourists during the period of its accomplishment. Constantly explored in previous research, the perception of crowding presents a gap in the tangent to relationships established in entertainment environments. The quantitative research, based on the Machleit, Kellaris and Eroglu (1994) scale, presented 270 cases analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling method. The results indicate that the crowding of people in football stadiums during the World Cup triggers positive emotions in the consumer, contrary to most previous studies conducted in other types of environments. The perception of spatial crowding, in turn, maintained the negative character mostly attested by the literature, relating negatively to positive emotions. There was evidence that perception of human crowding influences more intensely on satisfaction than the perception of space crowding. / Este estudo investiga as reações dos visitantes à aglomeração humana e espacial dos estádios da Copa, relacionando a variável percepção de crowding às emoções e a satisfação do consumidor. O maior evento mundial baseado em um único esporte, a Copa, movimenta milhões de turistas durante o período de sua realização. Constantemente explorada em pesquisas anteriores, a percepção de crowding apresenta uma lacuna na tangente às relações estabelecidas em ambientes de entretenimento. A pesquisa quantitativa, baseada na escala de Machleit, Kellaris e Eroglu (1994), apresentou 270 casos analisados pelo método de Modelagem de Equações Estruturais. Os resultados indicam que a aglomeração de pessoas em estádios de futebol durante a Copa do Mundo desencadeia emoções positivas no consumidor, ao contrário da maioria dos estudos anteriores realizados em outros tipos de ambientes. A percepção do crowding espacial, por sua vez, manteve o caráter negativo mais atestado pela literatura, relacionando-se negativamente com as emoções positivas. IMPOSED GENDER –HEGEMONIC COERCION AND PUNISHMENT

A construção do gênero de um indivíduo é arquitetada antes mesmo do seu nascimento, por via de um sistema social consuetudinário que progride numa hegemonia amestrada em um padrão sexo-gênero-sexualidade, que torna o ser humano binário em macho e fêmea e o condiciona aos papeis sociais de ser homem ou mulher. Tal fato não contempla as plurais necessidades humanas, de gênero e sexualidade, e condiciona uma heteronormatividade hegemônica, que visa normatizar, por via da imposição, os sujeitos divergentes, os tornando alvo do sexismo e da homofobia. O objetivo deste artigo é desdobrar a cultura hegemônica da imposição de gênero e sexualidade na vida e resistência de pessoas divergentes ao heteronormativismo. Com apoio da na abordagem qualitativa, a opção metodológica recaiu sobre a História de Vida. Os relatos, embasados na literatura, apontam resultados congruentes sobre as mazelas passadas, decorrentes da imposição de gênero e sexualidade na História de Vida do sujeito. Conclui-se que, devido à natureza da divergência de gênero e sexualidade, o sujeito é mais e/ou menos violado em seus direitos humanos e sociais. / The construction of an individual's gender is built even before his birth, through a customary social system that progresses a hegemony mastered in a sex-gender-sexuality pattern, which makes the human being binary into male and female and conditions them to social roles of being male or female. This fact does not contemplate the plural human needs, of gender and sexuality, and conditions a hegemonic heteronormativity, which aims to standardize, through imposition, divergent subjects, making them the target of sexism and homophobia. The purpose of this article is to unfold the hegemonic culture of life's imposition of gender and sexuality and resistance of people who diverge from heteronormativism. With the support of qualitative approaches, the article is written about a Life Story. The reports, based on theories, point out congruent results about past problems, resulting from the imposition of gender and sexuality in the subject's Life History. It is concluded that, due to the nature of the divergence of gender and sexuality, the human being is more and / or less violated in his human and social rights

Serendipity and Grounded Theory: a Possible Dialogue in Hawthorne’s Scenario

The purpose of this essay is to present a brief discussion on the emergence of the Human Relations Theory as serendipity or grounded theory. For the theoretical framework, I present topics about serendipity and grounded theory, on theory and substantive theory, followed by the core of the essay, a discussion of the studies taken place at Western Electric Company's Hawthorne Works in Chicago, which gave rise to the focus on human relations. One can conclude that social factors that emerged in Hawthorne’s scenario were not being sought out; they were serendipitous discoveries, based on data, as recommended by grounded theory

ANÁLISIS DE COMPORTAMIENTO ECOLÓGICO DE ESTUDIANTES DE ADMINISTRACIÓN

O comportamento ecológico, ou pró-ambiental, tanto de atividades quanto de aspectos de vida dos indivíduos e da sociedade em relação ao meio ambiente, relaciona-se diretamente à concientização ambiental que, atualmente, tem apoio no ensino de graduação nas disciplinas de educação ambiental e outras transversais que buscam formar o profissional mais consciente de seus atos em relação a sua ambiência natural. O presente estudo quantitativo e descritivo buscou entender os fatores que influenciam o Comportamento Ecológico de universitários do curso de Administração, usando como amostra alunos de IES públicas e privadas do Estado do Piauí. Para coleta utilizou-se a Escala de Comportamento Ecológico, validada por Pato e Tamayo (2006), aplicada a discentes do curso de bacharelado em administração, com amostra de 486 respondentes. Foram utilizadas análises descritivas e multivariadas para avaliar os dados. A partir da análise paralela e da análise fatorial exploratória encontrou-se seis fatores, que em seguida foram utilizados como variáveis independentes na análise de regressão, cuja variável dependente era o Comportamento Ecológico. A análise de regressão apresentou modelo de altíssimo nível explicativo, com R²=99,2%, validando os fatores explicativos do comportamento ecológico. As contribuições teóricas do estudo residem na distinção de resultados, ainda que se utilizando respondentes similares,  no caso, estudantes, o que pode ser devido a fatores culturais ou regionais.The ecological, or pro-environmental behavior, both in activities and aspects of life of individuals and society in relation to the environment, are directly related to environmental conscientization that currently has support in undergraduate courses of environmental education, that aims to mold the professional most conscious of their actions in relation to natural environment. The current quantitative and descriptive study sought to understand the factors that influence the Ecological Behaviour of college students in public and private universities from the State of Piaui. It was used the Ecological Behavior Scale for collect data, validated by Pato and Tamayo (2006), applied to students of the Bachelor in Business Administration, with a sample of 486 respondents. Descriptive and multivariate analyzes were used to evaluate data. From the parallel analysis and exploratory factor analysis it was found six factors, which were then used as independent variables in the regression analysis, where the dependent variable was the Ecological Behavior. The results of this study differ from Pato and Tamayo (2006), especially subdividing "saving water and energy" by one factor to each resource, and also separating "activism-consumption" in "activism" and "activism-consumption". Regression analysis showed very high explanatory level model, with R²=99.2%, validating the explanatory factors of ecological behavior. The theoretical contributions of this study lie in the distinction of results even using similar respondents, in this case, students, which may be due to cultural or regional factors.El comportamiento ecológico o pro-ambiental, tanto en actividades como en aspectos de vida de los individuos y de la sociedad en relación con el medio ambiente, se relaciona directamente con la conscientización ambiental que, actualmente, tiene el apoyo en la enseñanza de graduación en las disciplinas de educación ambiental y otras transversales que buscan formar el profesional más conciente de sus actos con relación a su ambiencia natural. Este estudio cuantitativo y descriptivo buscó comprender los factores que influencian el Comportamiento Ecológico de académicos del curso de Administración, usando como muestra alumnos de IES públicas y privadas de la provincia de Piauí. Para la recolección se usó la Escala de Comportamiento Ecológico, validada por Pato y Tamayo (2006), aplicada a los estudiantes del curso de bachillerato en administración con muestra de 486 encuestados. Fueron usados análisis descriptivos y multivariados para evaluar los datos. Apartir del análisis paralela y del análisis factorial explotatorio se encontró seis factores que se utilizaron entonces como variables independientes en el análisis de regresión, cuya variable dependiente era el Comportamineto Ecológico. El análisis de regresión presentó el modelo de altísimo nivel explicativo con R²=99,2%, validando los factores explicativos del comportamiento ecológico que, en este estúdio, difieren de la investigación de Pato y Tamayo (2006), especialmente la subdivisión de "ahorrar agua y energía" por uno factor para cada recurso y también separar "activismo-consumo" en "activismo" y "activismo-consumo". Las aportaciones teóricas de este estudio es la distinción de los resultados incluso utilizando los encuestados similares, en este caso, los estudiantes, lo que puede ser debido a factores culturales o regionales

Analysis of the prevalence of surgical debridement of pressure ulcers in a municipal hospital

Objective: This study aimed to assessing the prevalence of surgical debridement of Pressure Ulcer (PU), describe the socio-demographic, clinical profile and anatomical location of the PU. Method: This was a retrospective study with a quantitative analysis of the data obtained in the period from August 2011 to June 2013 made with 416 records of surgical clinic of a general hospital, where 47 patients underwent surgical debridement. Results: The prevalence of 11,29% of surgical debridement related to UPP, of these, 59,57% male, comorbidities 38,02%, Hypertension 26,76% Diabetes Mellitus. The anatomical locations of the UPP were 40,74% sacrococcygeal, 24,69% calcaneus and 19,75% trochanter. Conclusion: The prevalence of debridement of PU was high in the elderly, from the home, with comorbidities, which corroborated the need to implement prevention PU program integrated continuum of care for these patients and reference strengthen home care protocols for reducing these injuries
