    The Correlation Among Gender, Languange Learning Strategies, and English Achievment of English Departement Students of Tarbiyah Faculty

    This was a correlational research with two predictors and one criterion. 103 students (both successful and unsuccessful male and female students) were involved in this research. The data obtained through SILL by Oxford (1990) and students’ English achievement based on gender were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics through SPSS program version 20.0. The findings, first of all showed that there was a significant correlation between gender and English achievement where r = 0.924 and p = 0.000 = 0.05. Second, there was not any significant correlation between LLSs and English achievement where r = 0.202 and p = 0.083 = 0.05. Third, there was not any significant correlation between successful gender and their LLSs where r = 0.222 and p = 0.056 = 0.05 but there was a significant correlation between unsuccessful gender and their LLSs where r = - 0.376 and p = 0.049 = 0.05. Fourth, There was a significant correlation between gender and LLSs used simultaneously with English achievement where r = 0.264 and p = 0.04 = 0.05

    Dakwah Sebagai Media Integrasi Agama dan Ilmu Pengetahuan

    : This study aims to look further at science and religion and da'wah as a medium for the integration of both. Da'wah with one of its goals, namely spreading truth and goodness can be one of the media to explain that science and religion are not contradictory and both have the same goal, namely to seek the essence of truth. This study uses a library research approach by analyzing two variables, namely science and religion by utilizing books, journals, and other library tools as references and sources of data or information. Based on the results of the analysis, it is found that one conclusion is that science and religion do not contradict each other. Both science and religion both require the role of reason to understand it perfectly and da'wah can be a medium to convey the harmony of the objectives of the two variables

    DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING MODULE ICT HARDWARE FOR STUDENTS IN CLASS VII EVEN SEMESTER SMPN 2 MUNTILAN

    The purpose of this study is to realize the creation of learning modules ICT (Information and Communication Technology) subject of the hardware (hardware) to support the learning process and determine the feasibility of modules that have been made to study subjects of ICT (Information and Communication Technology). The method used in this study is a research & development (Research and Development). The research was carried out in the SMP Negeri 2 Muntilan. Research subjects were members of the group ICT learning and research objects form the subject of ICT learning module hardware. The methods used in data collection that is by observation and documentation, and methods of data analysis is by qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this research is a form of learning media modules is done through several stages, namely: (1) identification of the problem, (2) data collection, (3) design module, (4) validation module, (5) revision of the module, (6) product trials; (7) final revision, (8) publication module. The results of the feasibility test on the subject of ICT learning module hardware which was developed by expert instructional media as a whole the media get a percentage of 88.21% included in the category of very good, according to experts the material terms of the quality of the material to obtain a percentage of 88.89% included in the category of very good, according to students on the test module to obtain a percentage of 81.60% included in the excellent category. Based on test results expert instructional media, test matter experts and product trials can be concluded that developed modules fit for use as a medium of learning on the subjects of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) subject of the hardware (hardware).     KONSUMERISME DALAM PERSPEKTIF ISLAM

    Most of the world community has become a modern society, modernization has a positive impact in facilitating daily activities, and it is closely related to consumer behavior (consumerism) which is embraced by the society consciously or unconsciously. This research describes how Islam views the consumerism. The method that used in this research is descriptive qualitative, which describes the phenomena that exist about consumerism in Islamic perspective. The type of qualitative research that used in this study is the study of documents or texts, which are studies of written documentary material in the form of textbooks, manuscripts, articles, and its kind. Data analysis procedure before in the field is to analyze result on the preliminary observational study. The analysis during the field uses Miles and Huberman's model analysis, which suggests that the activities and analysis of qualitative data are carried out interactively and continuously until completion, thus the data is already saturated. Data analysis consist data collection, data reduction, data presentation, andanalysis/conclusion. The results shows that consumerism is excessive andirrational consumption behavior that prioritizes desires rather than needs by not prioritizing benefits that tend to be wasteful, satisfaction, and self-recognition. For Islamic perspective, consumerism is forbidden because it belongs to excessive behavior, is only oriented to worldly satisfaction and arrogance. Islam teaches consumption behavior that embraces the understanding of balance in various aspects, according to needs and has a value of benefits in accordance with rationality, which means that if properly understood the concept of consumption taught by Islam then humans can limit their desires in accordance with the needs and benefits that lead to the reduced behavior wasteful, miserly, and arrogant behavior.     PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS PERFORMANCE IN IMPLEMENTING TEACHING METHODS AT TEFL CLASS

    This study aimed to describe the implementation of microteaching activity by pre-service teachers in TEFL 2 class as well as to get an overview of the problems faced during microteaching so that they are able to improve the competence of teaching English later in both schools and other educational institutions. In this study, the method used was descriptive qualitative. The subject of the study were taken purposively by considering the achievement gained in previous subject namely in TEFL I class they reached the average value of 90 out of 100 with the number of subjects four (4) pre-service teachers. Data were collected through observation using video recording and field note as well as semi structured-interview. Aspects to be analyzed were methods used from opening, main, and closing activities by considering the characteristics of the method applied. The results of this study showed that Grammar Translation Method (GTM) and Audio-Lingual Method (ALM) became a method preference during the microteaching. Pre-service teachers showed no hesitation and well prepared in applying the methods.  Translation activities, dialogue memorization, repetition technique, word pair technique, and game grammar technique were occurred.     The purpose of this study is to link financial literacy, financial attitudes, self�efficacy and financial management behavior. This research was conducted through questionnaires given to 234 UMKM respondents who met the sampling criteria and were taken using purposive random sampling techniques. The collected data was analyzed using the SmartPLS 4 method. The results of the analysis showed a significant relationship between financial literacy and financial attitudes towards financial management behavior,In addition, self-efficacy also showed that it did not mediate the relationship between financial literacy, financial attitudes towards financial management behavior. This shows that an individual's confidence in his or her ability to manage finances plays an important role in linking knowledge and attitudes with concrete actio

    STUDI KOMPARATIF TERHADAP PRINSIP DAKWAH AL-QUR’AN DAN INJIL SERTA WACANA MENJEMBATANI KONFLIK ISLAM DAN KRISTEN DI INDONESIA

    This paper attempted to examine the Islamic and Christian conflicts caused by da'wah or missions to spread religion by referring to the source of the da'wah call, namely the Qur'an and the Bible, and then compared them with the aim of finding common ground for the origin of the conflict. This research was a qualitative research (library research). The data were processed and analyzed by comparative descriptive method. The results showed that: first, Islam and Christianity were da'wah religions because it was evidenced from two holy book sources that both religions had verses calling to spread their religion. Second, after being investigated, the source of the conflict between Islam and Christianity was caused by certain elements who preached or conveyed religious but ignoring the prevailing ethics. Third, after tracing and reviewing and comparing the two sources of reference for the two religions, both Islam (Al-Qur'an) and Christianity (gospel) never justified da'wah carried out in an impolite way or cause a bloodshed. In contrast,   the two religions often taught peace and love. Therefore, it was a need for re-reading and complete understanding of the da'wah verses both Islam and Christianity

    PENGARUH DISIPLIN BELAJAR DI SEKOLAH TERHADAP PRESTASI SISWA KELAS XI IPS PADA SMAN 1 INDRAPURI RNKABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

    ABSTRAKKata Kunci: disiplin belajar di sekolah, prestasi siswaPenelitian ini berjudul tentang Pengaruh Disiplin Belajar di Sekolah Terhadap Prestasi Siswa Kelas XI Pada SMAN 1 Indrapuri Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui disiplin belajar siswa kelas XI IPS pada SMAN 1 Indrapuri Kabupaten Aceh Besar, untuk mengetahui prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS pada SMAN 1 Indrapuri Kabupaten Aceh Besar, untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara disiplin belajar di sekolah dengan prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS pada SMAN 1 Indrapuri Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Waktu penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September sampai bulan Desember 2014. Melalui pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Adapun yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS pada SMA N 1 Indrapuri yang berjumlah 44 siswa, karena populasinya tidak terlalu banyak maka semua anggota populasi dijadikan sampel atau total sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara dokumentasi dan angket. Setelah data terkumpul selanjutnya diolah dengan menggunakan rumus regresi linear sederhana, sehingga dapat memperoleh yaitu ? = 1,39 + 0,55X. Hasil penelitian di peroleh bahwa koefisien determinas determinasi r2 = 0,53, angka ini menunjukkan bahwa 53% peningkata prestasi belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh disiplin belajar di sekolah sedangkan sisanya sebesar 47% dipengaruhi faktor-faktor lain di luar yang diformulasi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil pengujian nilai Jika thitung ? ttabel dengan tingkat signifikan ?= 5%. Nilai thitung sebesar 6,85 lebih besar dari ttabel 1,68. Hipotesis diduga terdapat pengaruh disiplin belajar di sekolah terhadap prestasi siswa kelas XI IPS pada SMAN 1 Indrapuri Kabupaten Aceh Besar dapat diterima (hipotesis diterima), maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara disiplin belajar di sekolah dengan prestasi siswa kelas XI IPS pada SMAN 1 Indrapuri Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Mengingat kurangnya kedisiplin belajar siswa kelas XI IPS pada SMAN 1 Indrapuri, maka perlunya ada penegasan disiplin di dalam belajar siswa di sekolah agar siswa belajar dengan teratur sehingga mencapai prestasi seperti yang diinginkan
