Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa kelas II di SD Negeri Kilometer Sebelas Subulussalam dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika dalam bentuk operasi hitung penjumlahan serta untuk mengetahui penyebab dari ketidakmampuan siswa tersebut ditinjau dari cara guru mengajar.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas II SD Negeri Kilometer Sebelas Subulussalam dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 34 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Soal tes yang diberikan terdiri dari 20 soal dalam bentuk operasi hitung penjumlahan pada bilangan cacah, dengan 5 soal menggunakan teknik bersusun panjang, 5 soal menggunakan teknik bersusun pendek, 5 soal dengan teknik menyimpan, dan 5 soal dengan teknik tanpa menyimpan. Observasi dilakukan terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran guru kelas II di SD Negeri Kilometer Sebelas Subulussalam yang meliputi penjelasan guru, keaktifan proses pembelajaran, dan penggunaan alat peraga.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dari 20 soal tes yang diberikan kepada siswa, 3 orang siswa tergolong sangat mampu dalam menyelesaikan operasi hitung penjumlahan, 7 orang tergolong mampu, 6 orang cukup mampu dan 18 orang tergolong kurang mampu. Data hasil observasi kegiatan guru mengajar menunjukan bahwa guru tidak melakukan tahapan-tahapan belajar mengajar. Seperti guru tidak memberi contoh soal yang bervariasi saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung. Dari hasil dapat disimpulkan bahwa cara guru mengajar dapat mempengaruhi pemahaman siswa terhadap materi operasi hitung penjumlahan

    Abstract This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of academic supervision in improving the quality of educators at SMA Balikpapan. The approach used is a qualitative approach with the case study method. Collecting data in this study used interviews, observation, and documentation methods involving three informants, namely the school principal, the vice principal for curriculum, and teachers as key informants. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that planning for academic supervision involves curriculum assistants and senior teachers formed in a team of school principals' supervisory assistants in carrying out maintenance to streamline educational supervision activities in schools. The implementation of academic supervision for educators has been going quite well; it's just that supervisors still rely on junior teachers and pay little attention to senior teachers with the assumption that senior teachers are experienced, so they don't need to be supervised. Evaluation of process components related to the implementation of academic supervision is very important for the performance of the educational supervision program; this is evidenced by the implementation of visionary leadership starting with conducting pre-class visit activities, conducting class visits, and following up after class visits. Through continued academic leadership, the quality of education can be improved

    Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) Is a type of plantation that is Indonesia's mainstay commodity with rapid development. Palm oil industry wastewater comes from a variety of palm oil processing processes that contain high organic and inorganic materials. The resulting waste must be controlled and treated so that it does not pose a threat to the palm oil industry because it can pollute the environment and sources of disease. One method of processing palm oil liquid waste that can be used is coagulation. The coagulation process requires a coagulant, the coagulant used is aluminum sulfate, ferrous sulfate, ferric chloride. This study aims to obtain the type and dose of chemical coagulants that are effective in handling palm oil industry liquid waste in anaerobic ponds and determine the reduction of pollutant variables (COD, TSS, Turbdity, color, and pH changes) due to the treatment of coagulant treatment. This study used a Randomized Group Design (RBD) with 10 levels of treatment consisting of B0 (Non-coagulant), B1 (Al2 (SO4)3 1 g/L), B2 (Al2 (SO4)3 1,5 g/L), B3 (Al2 (SO4)3 2 g/L), B4 (FeSO47H2O 1 g/L), B5 (FeSO47H2O 1,5 g/L), B6 (FeSO47H2O 2 g/L), B7 (FeCl36H2O 1 g/L), B8 (FeCl36H2O 1,5 g/L), B9 (FeCl36H2O 1 g/L). Data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and a 5% LSD test. The results obtained are ferric chloride being the best coagulant to reduce polluted parameters in palm oil liquid waste and Ferri chloride 2 g/L is the best treatment for reducing pollutant parameters of COD, TSS, Turbidity, and Color.     Uma Lengge: A Local Wisdom of Plants and Environmental Resources Utilisation in Bima Traditional House Architecture, West Nusa Tenggara

    Uma Lengge is a traditional house of Bima tribe located at Maria Village, Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara, with main raw material consisting of species of woods, bamboos and reeds. As one of the cultural heritage in West Nusa Tenggara, a study that support theà cultural preservation efforts is needed, including the preservation on plants used in its construction. This ethnobotanical research aims to reveal the local wisdom and other ethnobotanical aspects contained in Uma Lengge architecture. This descriptive exploratory research applied qualitative and quantitative ethnobotanical research methods based on data collection carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Informants selection used purposive sampling and snowball sampling method. Qualitative and quantitative data were analyzed descriptively based on the observations, interviews, and calculations of Reported Use (RU) and Index of Cultural Significance (ICS). The result showed that local wisdom contained in Uma Lengge architecture is still applied by the local people from generation to generation in term of plants utilisation in Uma Lengge construction, ancient habits, customs, and the preservation of annual traditions or rituals that have good values to be passed on. There are 11 species used as materials in Uma Lengge constuction, namely Bambusa vulgaris, Artocarpus heterophyllus, Dalbergia latifolia, Tectona grandis, Areca catechu, Gossampinus malabarica, Imperata cylindrica, Ficus benjamina, Cocos nucifera, Gigantochloa apus and Swietenia macrophylla. Plant utilisation in Uma Lengge is used in 10 categories: poles, floors, beams, sloofs, roofs, unifiers, rodent insulation boards, wind breakers, stairs and fences. Conservation efforts for species involved in Uma Lengge construction need to be done, especially for species with limited availability. It is recommended that this cultural site should get more attention and efforts to preserve the cultural heritage along with all local wisdom related to plants and environmental utilisation contained in it

    The strategies applied by teachers in teaching speaking

    The teaching of English is very important for young learners in the era of industry 4.0. A successful teacher is largely determined by the strategies he/she uses in the learning process. The students in SMP Negeri 1 Sabang were very interested in speaking English. They had won many events in English speaking competitions and mostly reached a good score on speaking test. This research was conducted to find out the strategies used, problems, and the solutions faced by the teachers during a teaching process at SMP Negeri 1 Kota Sabang. The research method of this study is descriptive qualitative by employing observation and interview guide sheets as the research instruments. The participants of this research were three English teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Sabang. The results show that the teachers used various kinds of strategies in teaching speaking; role-play, picture describing, interview, and simulations. It was also found that there were five obstacles during the teaching process; some students disturb their friends,  ignore the learning process, bully their friends, lack in vocabulary, and possess limited teaching and learning duration. The solutions in solving the problems show that the teachers use four approaches to solve the problems: teachers maximized student's centered, motivated deeply and sustainably, provided a new vocabulary, and extra time online. It is suggested that English teachers should always find new ideas, strategies, or techniques in teaching-learning so that students are interested in taking part actively in the learning process

    This paper aims to provide a perspective on assistance to MSMEs in East Java in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. So far, MSMEs have been proven to be one of the economic drivers that accommodate the majority of workers in Indonesia. The existence of the Covid-19 Pandemic has depressed MSMEs throughout Indonesia and often have to go out of business. It seems that the government assistance that has been provided in the context of Covid-19 is still focused on individual or family assistance. Therefore, the authors consider MSMEs to be an essential factor in efforts to overcome the impact of Covid-19, especially in East Java.     Paper ini bertujuan untuk melihat dampak Covid-19 terhadap ekonomi Indonesia secara makro berdasarkan  kerangka konseptual prediksi McKibbin dan Fernando (2020).  Fenomena Covid 19 membawa dampak negatif yang sangat besar. Dampak berupa penghambatan pertumbuhan ekonomi atau kesejahteraan masyarakat   Indonesia, paper ini menjelaskan dampak Covid 19 terhadap ekonomi Indonesia secara makro. Hasil  menunjukkan bahwa kondisi makro ekonomi Indonesia saat pandemi Covid-19  meliputi  pada pasokan tenaga kerja 2.084.593 pekerja secara Nasional mengalami PHK dan dirumahkan, melemahnya nilai tukar mata uang, IHSG, cadangan devisa, rasio utang luar negeri terhadap PDB dan pertumbuhan ekonomi,  adanya peningkatan inflasi, kredit macet (NPL), serta pelebaran defisit neraca pembayaran dan perdagangan, gangguan produksi dan distribusi bahan baku, terjadinya fenomena panic buying, dan terakhir pengeluaran konsumsi pemerintah yang tumbuh sebesar 3,74%

    PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN LEVELS OF INQUIRY UNTUK MENINGKATKAN SCIENTIFIC REASONING SISWA SMP PADA MATERI KALOR

    Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan bernalar secara ilmiah atau scientific reasoning merupakan kemampuan yang kurang terfasilitasi dalam proses pembelajaran fisika di kelas. Pendekatan levels of inquiry dipandang memiliki cara-cara yang dapat melatihkan scientific reasoning, oleh karena itu penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek kontribusi penerapan levels of inquiry terhadap scientific reasoning . Instrumen scientific reasoning dikembangkan berdasarkan lawson classroom test of scientific reasoning (LCTSR) standar, dari 34 soal yang diuji terpilih sebanyak 24 soal dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,64 termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dan validitas 0,3<val<1 yang berada dalam kategori sedang sampai tinggi. Melalui metode pre experimental dengan one-group pretest-posttest design, penelitian diterapkan dengan menggunakan sampel 35 siswa di salah satu SMP Negeri di kota bandung. Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan effect size ditemukan bahwa nilai effect size 3,11 yang berada dalam kategori besar. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pendekatan levels of inquiry yang diterapkan memberikan kontribusi yang besar terhadap peningkatan scientific reasoning Kata Kunci : Scientific Reasoning, Levels Of Inquiry The observation result shown that the ability to think scientifically known as scientific reasoning is less facilitated in the physic subject learning process. The levels of inquiry has seen as an approacment that could be a way to train and enhance the scientific reasoning in which this research conducted to find out degree of contribution and how this levels of inquiry affect the scientific reasoning. Scientific reasoning instrument developed based on Lawson Classroom Test Of Scientific Reasoning (LCTSR) standard. From 34 question that have been judged, 24 is choosen which has 0,64 reliability that classified as high category and validity 0,3<val<1 that classified as middle high category. Using pre experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design, the research conducted 35 students sample in one among junior high school in bandung. Analysis result using effect size which resulted 3,11 effect size that grade point classifies as high category.
