The language in classroom situation, its relation with the formation of teachers and the construction of the energy concept
With the name of cognitive-linguistic ability is referenced a diverse set of skills, however, we emphasized in the improve of describe, explain and argue, accepting the hypothesis that: "The only way to learn the language is scientific thinking, speak, write and read "(Jorba, 1998), it is necessary to create a good environment in the classroom, that allows the teachers produce written, expressing their ideas and revise the texts of others in order to generate arguments and explanations used for the construction of concept
Delayed surgery and health related quality of life in patients with proximal femoral fracture
This study aimed to establish factors associated with delayed surgery in patients with proximal femoral fracture and to assess patients’ health-related quality of life (HRQoL) after surgery including all-cause 6-months mortality. This was a single-center, observational, prospective cohort study that included patients with a proximal femur fracture. We described patients’ HRQoL measured by EuroQoL (EQ-5D-5L and EQ-VAS) questionnaire and perioperative complications (including mortality) 6 months after surgery. We included 163 patients with a mean age of 80.5 years, the majority were women and 76.1% reported falling from their own height. The mean time between hospital admission and surgery was 8.3 days (SD 4.9 days) and the mean hospital stay was 13.5 days (SD 10.4 days). After adjustment, the principal factor associated with delayed surgery was adjournment in surgery authorization (3.7 days). EQ-5D-5L index values and the VAS score at 1 month after surgery were 0.489 and 61.1, at 3 months were 0.613 and 65.8, and at 6 months 0.662 and 66.7 respectively. Mortality at 6 months of follow-up was 11% (18 patients). In conclusion, administrative authorization was the strongest associated factor with delayed time from hospital admission to surgery. HRQoL of patients with a proximal femoral fracture improved 6 months after surgery. Trial registration: NCT04217642.</p
Prevalence of sleep complaints in Colombia at different altitudes
AbstractStudy objectivesTo determine the prevalence of sleep complaints in adults in Colombia at different altitudes.DesignCross-sectional, population-based and observational study.SettingUrban areas in three cities (Bogotá, Bucaramanga, Santa Marta) located between 15 and 2640 masl. Subjects Over 18 years old.InterventionsEpworth sleepiness scale (ESS), Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI), Berlin questionnaire, STOP-Bang questionnaire and diagnostic criteria for restless leg syndrome (IRLSSG).Measurements and resultsThe overall prevalence of sleep complaints was 59.6% (CI 95%: 57.3; 61.8%). According to the Pittsburgh scale, 45.3% (CI 95%: 43.0; 47.5) required medical assistance. The Berlin questionnaire indicated that 19.0% (CI 95%: 17.3; 20.8%) had a high risk of sleep apnea (OSA) compared to 26.9% (CI 95%: 24.9; 29.0%) according to STOP-Bang. Among the subjects, 13.7% (CI 95%: 12.3; 15.3%) had excessive daytime sleepiness and 37.7% (CI 95%: 35.5; 39.8%) had a restless leg syndrome. When comparing cities, significant differences in the overall frequency of subjects requiring care were found between Santa Marta (higher frequency) and the other two cities. Differences in sleep problem frequency (Pittsburgh) were observed between Bogota (higher frequency) and Bucaramanga and also between Santa Marta (higher frequency) and the other two cities. The high risk of OSA (STOP-Bang) was different between Bogota (higher frequency) and Bucaramanga and also between Santa Marta (high frequency) and Bucaramanga.ConclusionsWe observed a high prevalence of sleep complaints with significant differences among the cities, indicating a need to pay a greater attention to these problems
Variation in Susceptibility to Downy Mildew Infection in Spanish Minority Vine Varieties
Downy mildew is one of the most destructive diseases affecting grapevines (Vitis vinifera L.). Caused by the oomycete Plasmopara viticola (Berk. and Curt.) Berl. and de Toni, it can appear anywhere where vines are cultivated. It is habitually controlled by the application of phytosanitary agents (copper-based or systemic) at different stages of the vine growth cycle. This, however, is costly, can lead to reduced yields, has a considerable environmental impact, and its overuse close to harvest can cause fermentation problems. All grapevines are susceptible to this disease, although the degree of susceptibility differs between varieties. Market demands and European legislation on viticulture and the use of phytosanitary agents (art. 14 of Directive 128/2009/EC) now make it important to know the sensitivity of all available varieties, including minority varieties. Such knowledge allows for a more appropriate use of phytosanitary agents, fosters the commercial use of these varieties and thus increases the offer of wines associated with different terroirs, and helps identify material for use in crop improvement programmes via crossing or genetic transformation, etc. Over 2020–2021, the susceptibility to P. viticola of 63 minority vine varieties from different regions of Spain was examined in the laboratory using the leaf disc technique. Some 87% of these varieties were highly susceptible and 11% moderately susceptible; just 2% showed low susceptibility. The least susceptible of all was the variety Morate (Madrid, IMIDRA). Those showing intermediate susceptibility included the varieties Sanguina (Castilla la Mancha, IVICAM), Planta Mula (Comunidad Valenciana, ITVE), Rayada Melonera (Madrid, IMIDRA), Zamarrica (Galicia, EVEGA), Cariñena Roja (Cataluña, INCAVI), Mandrègue (Aragón, DGA) and Bastardo Blanco (Extremadura, CICYTEX). The highly susceptible varieties could be differentiated into three subgroups depending on sporulation severity and density

Abstract
There is controversy over the effect of obesity in bone mineral density. Several studies have proposed that obesity is a protective factor of the bone by the mechanical tension that favors the bone remodeling. However, other studies suggest that this relationship is more complex because both tissues come from a common germ line; emphasizing that the adipocyte secretes diverse molecules, among them adipocinas. In addition, adipose tissue has aromatases that convert androgens into estrogens, having an importance in bone homeostasis. Therefore, the bone has been raised as a target organ of various endocrine pathways, which may affect other organs when it is altered. On the other hand, it has been shown that insulin resistance in the context of obesity is associated with chronic low-grade inflammation, functional impairment of organs and impaired energy metabolism, which impacts bone remodeling
