Patrimonio arquitectónico del siglo XX: el legado Art Nouveau en La Habana

[ESP] El artículo forma parte del proyecto de investigación desarrollado por varios expertos y expertas de ICOMOS-Cuba, parcialmente financiado por la AECID (2008-2012), titulado Influencias directas, indirectas y distanciamientos, entre la arquitectura cubana y la española. Dentro de esos 500 años de historia común, la autora de esta publicación profundiza sobre las características del Art Nouveau de La Habana (y otras obras de la isla), identificando rasgos provenientes del modernisme català e identificando otras influencias provenientes de ciudades europeas: Viena, París, Bruselas… El análisis se centra en cuatro puntos: 1) determinar las similitudes y distanciamientos de la arquitectura modernista cubana respecto a la española; 2) valorar los grados de asimilación de una cultura arquitectónica en otra; 3) precisar los distanciamientos respecto de la corriente dominante catalana y 4) establecer particularidades propias del Art Nouveau habanero respecto del modernismo español. La investigación que ha posibilitado el poder desarrollar este escrito se engloba dentro del Programa de ayudas de movilidad posdoctoral en centros extranjeros que financió en el 2010 el Ministerio de Educación de España. La investigación fue supervisada por el Doctor Arquitecto Daniel TABOADA ESPINIELLA, Titular de la Cátedra de Arquitectura Vernácula Gonzalo de Cárdenas, de la Oficina del Historiador de la Ciudad de La Habana durante 2011-2012 en Cuba. [ENG] The article is included on the research project entitled Direct and indirect influences and differences between the Cuban and the Spanish Architecture, developed by various experts from ICOMOS-Cuba, partially funded by the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo AECID (2008-2012). Within these 500 years of common history, the author of this publication focuses on the characteristics of the Art Nouveau Architecture in Havana (and other works of the island), identifying features from the Catalan Modernism and other influences from different European cities: Vienna, Paris, Brussels ... The analysis highlights four objectives: 1) to determine the similarities and separations of Cuban Art Nouveau Architecture compared to the Spanish; 2) to assess the degree of assimilation of the Spanish architectural culture into the Cuban one; 3) to specify the distancing between Cuban Art Nouveau and the Catalan architectural trend and 4) to establish peculiarities of Havana Art Nouveau respect of Spanish modernism. The research that enabled this paper is included in the program of aid mobility postdoctoral in foreign centers funded in 2010 the Spanish Ministry of Education. This text constitutes a study and critical edition of a Valencian prescription manuscript, from the beginning of the XIX century, which has remained practically unknown up to the present day. It juxtaposes early instances of the language in this genre with the presence of the traditional forms of the names of diseases or medicines in Valencian popular literature of the XVIII and XIX centuries

El lèxic popular valencià en la literatura de les primeres dècades del segle XX: l'aportació de Faust Hernández Casajuana

Hernández Casajuana va saber recollir en les seues obres literàries un interessant vocabulari popular, que en part enllaça amb la tradició lingüística dels dramaturgs valencians del segle XIX, i en part representa una innovació, des del moment que té en compte els canvis socials i de costums que es produeixen al segle XX, els quals tenen un reflex en el llenguatge. Aquest article se centra en aquesta parcel·la lèxica més innovadora d’Hernández Casajuana, tot i que considera també la producció d’altres autors contemporanis i anteriors. Així, proporciona novetats en relació amb els diccionaris històrics i etimològics, i dóna compte de la motivació i l’origen de determinats mots i accepcions, així com de diversos neologismes, en la seua etapa d’introducció en el català. Algunes d’aquestes innovacions lèxiques han desaparegut en la llengua actual, i altres han tingut continuïtat, però a principis del s. XX, quan encara no s’havien consolidat, presentaven a vegades formes diferents a les que han acabat triomfant

Construccions connectives binàries en el debat parlamentari

Resum: El gènere polític del debat parlamentari és eminentment argumentatiu perquè els parlamentaris defensen una postura respecte a un tema de discussió. Aquesta postura es materialitza en unes estructures argumentatives, les parts de les quals sovint són delimitades pels connectors binaris (principalment causals i consecutius, però també condicionals, finals, adversatius i concessius). L’objectiu d’aquest treball és fer una anàlisi lingu?ística i argumentativa d’aquest tipus de construccions des d’una perspectiva local, cas per cas, i global, integrades en l’encadenament discursiu, en un corpus format per tres debats en català del Parlament de Catalunya. D’una banda, a partir dels resultats obtinguts, s’hi fa una comparació amb els resultats de treballs anteriors que tracten de la relació entre connexió i gènere discursiu (Castellà 2001; Cuenca 2013a) i es relaciona l’ús de connectors amb el grau de formalitat i preparació del debat parlamentari. D’una altra banda, s’hi analitza la construcció del discurs i l’estil individual de cada parlamentari d’acord amb l’encadenament i la coherència de les idees, i al tipus d’ordre i moviment argumentatius.Paraules clau: relacions binàries, construccions connectives binàries, argumentació, debat parlamentari, gènere discursiu.Abstract: Parliamentary debate is essentially an argumentative genre because members of parliament defend a stance regarding a topic of discussion. This position is embodied in argumentative structures, parts of which are often defined by binary connectives (mostly causal and consequence, but also conditional, final, adversative and concessive). The aim of this paper is to analyse such constructions both linguistically and argumentatively in a corpus composed of three debates in Catalan taking place in the Parliament of Catalonia. The analysis is made both from a local perspective (case by case) and from a global perspective (each case integrated into the discursive chain). Firstly, our data are compared with the results of previous studies dealing with the relationship between discursive genre and the use of connectives (Castellà 2001; Cuenca 2013a). Secondly, the relationship between the uses of connectives and the degree of formality and preparation of parliamentary debate is discussed. Finally, the discourse construction and individual style of each Member of Parliament is analysed according to chain and coherence relationships as well as in terms of the type of argumentative order and movement.Key words: binary relations, connective binary constructions, argumentation, parliamentary debate, discursive genre

La memoria del territorio : la recuperación paisajística de la ruta del ferrocarril al Mediterráneo

[ESP] Centrado en la conmemoración del 150 aniversario de la primera vía ferroviaria que unió la capital de España con el mar Mediterráneo,el proyecto de investigación titulado Alicante-Madrid, la primera línea férrea al Mediterráneo. Un recorrido paisajísticopor la provincia de Alicante planteó en 2008 el estudio de la posible recuperación del paisaje y del patrimonio ferroviario dela línea Madrid-Alicante mediante la propuesta de realización de una vía de senderismo, a modo de recorrido lúdico-culturalpor los lugares más emblemáticos de la provincia de Alicante por los cuales ha circulado el ferrocarril a lo largo de más de unsiglo. [ENG] Focused on the commemoration of 150 anniversary of the first railroad that linked the capital of Spain by the Mediterranean Sea, the research project Alicante-Madrid, the first railway line to the Mediterranean. A scenic tour through the province of Alicante raised in 2008 to study the possible recovery of the landscape and heritage railway line Madrid-Alicante with a proposal to conduct a walking path, as a leisure tour throughout the emblematic cultural sites of the province of Alicante whereby railroad has worked for over a century now. The study focused attention on the engineering design of roads and landmarks in those assets of the province of Alicante’s most important architecture of transportation (stations, bridges, tunnels). The research project was planned in two phases separate but complementary: the first based on a historical-analytical study of the construction of the Madrid-Alicante railway passing through the province of Alicante, and the second, consisting of a proposal landscape that sought to value and use the Alicante railway heritage

La formació del plural i la situació del gènere en el "Curial e Güelfa" dins del context del segle XV

We study the situation of plurals in the «Curial e Güelfa» and, by extension, in the Catalan of the 15th century, analyzing particularly the possible subordinating factors of the distribution of plurals -es and -os of masculine words that finish in -s. The situation of plurals helps to confirm the dating of the novel in the middle of the 15th century. On the other hand, in the section of inflection of gender, the presence of forms that confirm the classicism of the novel is evident, as well as some Valencian preferences
