A determinant criterion for stability analysis and design of linear discrete systems
Linearni vremenski nepromjenljivi diskretni sustavi (Linear Time Invariant Discrete Systems) mogu se opisati jednadžbama linearne razlike konstantnog koeficijenta. Linear time invariant discrete systems can be described by constant coefficient linear difference equations. These equations can be easily transformed into the function of the complex variable by the z transform method. Two triangular matrices are formed with the help of the coefficients of system characteristics equation along with the minimal shifting of coefficients either left or right and elimination of coefficient method. A single square matrix is constructed by adding the two triangular matrices. The proposed method of construction of square matrix consumes less arithmetic operations like shifting and eliminating of coefficients, when compared to the construction of Square matrix by Jury’s and Hurwitz matrix method. This Square matrix is used for testing the sufficient condition utilising Jury’s Inner determinant procedure. Further one more necessary condition is also suggested along with Jury’s conditions for stability. Illustrations are also included to show the applicability of the proposed scheme. Also an algorithm was developed for finding the design parameter k-value which helps to design a stable Linear Time Invariant Discrete System

Comprehensive \u3ci\u3ein vitro\u3c/i\u3e and \u3ci\u3ein vivo\u3c/i\u3e evaluation of therapeutic potential of Bacopa-derived asiatic acid against a human oral pathogen \u3ci\u3eStreptococcus mutans\u3c/i\u3e
Dental caries is a common human oral disease worldwide, caused by an acid-producing bacteria Streptococcus mutans. The use of synthetic drugs and antibiotics to prevent dental caries has been increasing, but this can lead to severe side effects. To solve this issue, developing and developed countries have resorted to herbal medicines as an alternative to synthetic drugs for the treatment and prevention of dental caries. Therefore, there is an urgent need for plant-derived products to treat such diseases. Bacopa monnieri, a well-documented medicinal plant, contains 52 phytocompounds, including the pentacyclic triterpenoid metabolite known as asiatic acid (ASTA). Hence, this study aimed to demonstrate, for the first time, the antibacterial activity of phytocompound ASTA against S. mutans. The findings revealed that ASTA significantly inhibited the growth of S. mutans and the production of virulence factors such as acidurity, acidogenicity, and eDNA synthesis. Molecular docking analysis evaluated the potential activity of ASTA against S. mutans virulence genes, including VicR and GtfC. Furthermore, toxicity assessment of ASTA in human buccal epithelial cells was performed, and no morphological changes were observed. An in vivo analysis using Danio rerio (zebrafish) confirmed that the ASTA treatment significantly increased the survival rates of infected fish by hindering the intestinal colonization of S. mutans. Furthermore, the disease protection potential of ASTA against the pathognomonic symptom of S. mutans infection was proven by the histopathological examination of the gills, gut, and kidney. Overall, these findings suggest that ASTAmay be a promising therapeutic and alternative drug for the treatment and prevention of oral infection imposed by S. mutans
A Method to Optimize Geometric Errors of Machine Tool based on SNR Quality Loss Function and Correlation Analysis
Instead improving the accuracy of machine tool by increasing the precision of key components level blindly in the production process, the method of combination of SNR quality loss function and machine tool geometric error correlation analysis to optimize five-axis machine tool geometric errors will be adopted. Firstly, the homogeneous transformation matrix method will be used to build five-axis machine tool geometric error modeling. Secondly, the SNR quality loss function will be used for cost modeling. And then, machine tool accuracy optimal objective function will be established based on the correlation analysis. Finally, ISIGHT combined with MATLAB will be applied to optimize each error. The results show that this method is reasonable and appropriate to relax the range of tolerance values, so as to reduce the manufacturing cost of machine tools
