    Developing The Attitude And Creativity In Mathematics Education

    The structures in a traditionally-organized classroom of mathematics teaching can usually be linked readily with the routine classroom activities of teacher-exposition and teacher-supervised desk work, teacher’s initiation, teacher’s direction and strongly teacher’s expectations of the outcome of student learning. If the teacher wants to develop appropriate attitude and creativities in mathematics teaching learning it needs for him to develop innovation in mathematics teaching. The teacher may face challenge to develop various style of teaching i.e. various and flexible method of teaching, discussion method, problem-based method, various style of classroom interaction, contextual and or realistic mathematics approach. To develop mathematical attitude and creativity in mathematics teaching learning processes, the teacher may understand the nature and have the highly skill of implementing the aspects of the following: mathematics teaching materials, teacher’s preparation, student’s motivation and apperception, various interactions, small-group discussions, student’s works sheet development, students’ presentations, teacher’s facilitations, students’ conclusions, and the scheme of cognitive development.In the broader sense of developing attitude and creativity of mathematics learning, the teacher may needs to in-depth understanding of the nature of school mathematics, the nature of students learn mathematics and the nature of constructivism in learning mathematics.     Multiple Uncertainties in Time-Variant Cosmological Particle Data

    Though the mediums for visualization are limited, the potential dimensions of a dataset are not. In many areas of scientific study, understanding the correlations between those dimensions and their uncertainties is pivotal to mining useful information from a dataset. Obtaining this insight can necessitate visualizing the many relationships among temporal, spatial, and other dimensionalities of data and its uncertainties. We utilize multiple views for interactive dataset exploration and selection of important features, and we apply those techniques to the unique challenges of cosmological particle datasets. We show how interactivity and incorporation of multiple visualization techniques help overcome the problem of limited visualization dimensions and allow many types of uncertainty to be seen in correlation with other variables

    Natural Visualizations

    This paper demonstrates the prevalence of a shared characteristic between visualizations and images of nature. We have analyzed visualization competitions and user studies of visualizations and found that the more preferred, better performing visualizations exhibit more natural characteristics. Due to our brain being wired to perceive natural images [SO01], testing a visualization for properties similar to those of natural images can help show how well our brain is capable of absorbing the data. In turn, a metric that finds a visualization’s similarity to a natural image may help determine the effectiveness of that visualization. We have found that the results of comparing the sizes and distribution of the objects in a visualization with those of natural standards strongly correlate to one’s preference of that visualization

    Improving The Understanding Of The Arithmetic Concept Through Realistic Mathematic Education (RME)

    This study aims to improve the arithmetic concept understanding of the second grade students of Percobaan 2 Yogyakarta elementary school through Realistic Mathematic Education (RME). This study was a classroom action research. This study was conducted in two cycles. The participants were the students and teacher of second grade (IIA) of Percobaan 2 Yogyakarta Elementary School. The data were collected by observation form, manual interview, and test. Observations were used to collect the data of the students’s activities in mathematics teaching and learning. The test was used to collect the data of the students’s arithmetic concept understanding. The results of the study show that RME improve the students’s arithmetic concept understanding of Percobaan 2 Yogyakarta Elementary School. There are the improvements of arithmetic concept understanding after doing mathematic teaching and learning through RME. The improvements are: (a) repeating a concept ability increases from 79.9798% to 84.3434%, (b) classifying objects according their characteristics increases from 70,9090% to 86.3636% , (c) giving the example and non-example ability increase from 94.8864% to 95.4545%, (d) presenting the concept in all of represented mathematics increases from 73.8634% to 89.3939%, (e) developing the sufficient and necessary condition ability of a concept increases from 46.9697% to 79.5454%, (f) Using and deciding a particular procedure increases from 71.9697% to 78.0303%, (g) aplying concept increases from 71.2121% to 78,7879%.     This work is focused on the practice that applied by government of Indonesia to publish the Surat Berharga Syariah Negara ( SBSN Ijarah) in which the beginning of release in 2008. by considering theory of surat berharga ijarah in Islamic perspective ( sharia Islamic ). The research goal is to examine and get deep understanding the theory of Islamic fiqih in which applied to akad, publication, lifecycle, due rate, repurchase by due date and related to the practice of Surat Berharga Ijarah in Indonesia government. Type of this research is literature review by employing inductive descriptive statistic method. The finding of this research is three types of surat berharga ijarah based on fiqih islam including sukuk milkiyah ushul al mu’jarah, sukuk milkiyah manafi’ and sukuk milkiyah khidmad. In the practice, all of the letter types should be refer to Kaidah Fiqih Islam if in the process of publication, marketing, and repurchasing was in due date. There are three types of SBSN ijarah, including sukuk ijarah sale and lease back, sukuk ijarah asset to be leased and sukuk ijarah khidmat. These SBSN was not suitable to syariah islam on jual beli fiktif. Guarantying the funding from investor by purchasing the expired surat berharga ijarah was not eligible to kaidah perwakilan on sukuk ijarah khidmat

    Publication bias and low power in field studies on goal priming

    Research on goal priming asks whether the subtle activation of an achievement goal can improve task performance. Studies in this domain employ a range of priming methods, such as surreptitiously displaying a photograph of an athlete winning a race, and a range of dependent variables including measures of creativity and workplace performance. Chen, Latham, Piccolo and Itzchakov (Chen et al. 2021 J. Appl. Psychol. 70, 216-253) recently undertook a meta-analysis of this research and reported positive overall effects in both laboratory and field studies, with field studies yielding a moderate-to-large effect that was significantly larger than that obtained in laboratory experiments. We highlight a number of issues with Chen et al.'s selection of field studies and then report a new meta-analysis (k = 13, N = 683) that corrects these. The new meta-analysis reveals suggestive evidence of publication bias and low power in goal priming field studies. We conclude that the available evidence falls short of demonstrating goal priming effects in the workplace, and offer proposals for how future research can provide stronger tests

    Sensitivity analysis of permeability parameters of bovine nucleus pulposus obtained through inverse fitting of the nonlinear biphasic equation : effect of sampling strategy

    Permeability controls the fluid flow into and out of soft tissue, and plays an important role in maintaining the health status of such tissue. Accurate determination of the parameters that define permeability is important for the interpretation of models that incorporate such processes. This paper describes the determination of strain-dependent permeability parameters from the nonlinear biphasic equation from experimental data of different sampling frequencies using the Nelder–Mead simplex method. The ability of this method to determine the global optimum was assessed by constructing the whole manifold arising from possible parameter combinations. Many parameter combinations yielded similar fits with the Nelder–Mead algorithm able to identify the global maximum within the resolution of the manifold. Furthermore, the sampling strategy affected the optimum values of the permeability parameters. Therefore, permeability parameter estimations arising from inverse methods should be utilised with the knowledge that they come with large confidence intervals

    Seorang pemimpin dalam organisasi sangat dibutuhkan untuk membawa organisasi kepada tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Sekolah Kreatif SD Muhtadin merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang mempunyai orientasi pendidikan masa depan, unggul dan peserta didiknya memiliki prestasi baik dari segi akademik maupun non akademik Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan tipe kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SD Muhtadin, dengan sub fokus mencakup: (1) Bagaimana tipe kepemimpinan yang diterapkan kepala sekolah dalam pengembangan lembaga Pendidikan Islam Sekolah Kreatif SD Muhtadin 2) apa saja usaha-usaha yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dalam pengembangan lembaga Pendidikan Islam Sekolah Kreatif SD Muhtadin, dan (3) target output yang diinginkan Sekolah Kreatif SD Muhtadin Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan bentuk studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data, peneliti menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang mengandung empat komponen yang saling berkaitan, yaitu: pengumpulan data, penyederhanaan data, pemaparan data, dan penarikan dan pengajuan simpulan. Pengecekan keabsahan temuan dilakukan dengan kredibilitas, transferabilitas, dependabilitas, dan konfirmabilitas, dengan menggunakan berbagai sumber, teori, dan metode sehingga diperoleh data yang objektif Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) tipe kepeminpinan kepala sekolah kreatif SD Muhtadin, yaitu kepemimpinan demokratis (aspiratif akomodatif, assertif dan terbuka), dimana selama proses kepemimpinannya mampu melakukan perubahan dan memiliki visi ke depan untuk mengembangkan lembaga pendidikan yang dipimpinnya menuju sekolah kreatif dan unggul, (2) usaha-usaha yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dalam pengembangan Sekolah Kreatif SD Muhtadin yaitu membangun sistem sekolah yang meliputi: Manajemen personalia, Manajemen kurikulum, Manajemen keuangan, Manajemen kesiswaan/ peserta didik, Manajemen Sarana dan Prasarana, Manajemen Hubungan Masyarakat, Manajemen layanan khusus, dan (3) adapun target output yang inginkan sekolah kreatif SD Muhtadin, yaitu: Output awal (Hasil Awal) diantaranya : a) Adanya perubahan Kwantitas peserta didik, b) Berusaha untuk tidak menolak siswa bagaimanpun kondisinya. Sedangkan target Output secara umum diantaranya : a) Sistem kreatif yang diadopsi bisa berjalan dan terlaksana dengan baik, menjadikan sekolah SD Muhtadin sebagai sekolah unggulan dan favorit di Kota Madiun b) Meningkatkan kepercayaan publik dengan menyekolahkan putra putrinya di SD Muhtadi
