This article discusses the causal factors impact, and resolution of riot in the Glodok Market, West Jakarta. It aims to explain the causes and effects of violence in Glodok Market. This writing uses the framework of social psychology approach to in terview the riot victimswho considered the event as very frightening. The national factor was the Monetary Crisis in 1998 causing the rising prices of foodstuff. Monetary Crisis resulting in the price of nine essential commodities more increasingly and become scarce in the market. The panic, the socio economic disparity, and the prejudice indigenous people toward Chinese merchants happening among the public. While other political factor was Trisakti student demonstrations simultaneously with the mass riots. On May 14, 1998 the riots escalated, Glodok Market and Orion Plaza were subjected to vandalism, looting, arson, and rape. The impact of was the loss of property owned by merchants, and employment. Glodok Market riot also had an impact on the national economy untill the reign of President B.J. Habibie implementing corrective policies and the establishment of TPGF to discover, uncover the facts, the perpetrator, and the background of the riots in May 1998. President Abdurahman Wahid gave a freedom tto Chinese in sociocultural, religion, and political aspect, which influenced the development of Glodok Market, such as the presence of Glodok Standard Tabloid in mandarin
Aluminium in Brain Tissue in Multiple Sclerosis.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a devastating and debilitating neurodegenerative disease of unknown cause. A consensus suggests the involvement of both genetic and environmental factors of which the latter may involve human exposure to aluminium. There are no data on the content and distribution of aluminium in human brain tissue in MS. The aluminium content of brain tissue from 14 donors with a diagnosis of MS was determined by transversely heated graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. The location of aluminium in the brain tissue of two donors was investigated by aluminium-specific fluorescence microscopy. The aluminium content of brain tissue in MS was universally high with many tissues bearing concentrations in excess of 10 μg/g dry wt. (10 ppm) and some exceeding 50 ppm. There were no statistically significant relationships between brain lobes, donor age or donor gender. Aluminium-specific fluorescence successfully identified aluminium in brain tissue in both intracellular and extracellular locations. The association of aluminium with corpora amylacea suggests a role for aluminium in neurodegeneration in MS
Quantum fields during black hole formation: how good an approximation is the Unruh state?
We study the quantum effects of a test Klein-Gordon field in a Vaidya space-time consisting of a collapsing null shell that forms a Schwazschild black hole, by explicitly obtaining, in a (1 + 1)-dimensional model, the Wightman function, the renormalised stress-energy tensor, and by analysing particle detector rates along stationary orbits in the exterior black hole region, and make a comparison with the folklore that the Unruh state is the state that emerges from black hole formation. In the causal future of the shell, we find a negative ingoing flux at the horizon that agrees precisely with the Unruh state calculation, and is the source of black hole radiation, while in the future null infinity we find that the radiation flux output in the Unruh state is an upper bound for the positive outgoing flux in the collapsing null shell spacetime. This indicates that back-reaction estimates based on Unruh state calculations over-estimate the energy output carried by so-called pre-Hawking radiation. The value of the output predicted by the Unruh state is however approached exponentially fast. Finally, we find that at late times, stationary observers in the exterior black hole region in the collapsing shell spacetime detect the local Hawking temperature, which is also well characterised by the Unruh state, coming from right-movers. Early-time discrepancies between the detector rates for the Unruh state and for the state in the collapsing shell spacetime are explored numerically
Optical parametric oscillation with distributed feedback in cold atoms
There is currently a strong interest in mirrorless lasing systems, in which
the electromagnetic feedback is provided either by disorder (multiple
scattering in the gain medium) or by order (multiple Bragg reflection). These
mechanisms correspond, respectively, to random lasers and photonic crystal
lasers. The crossover regime between order and disorder, or correlated
disorder, has also been investigated with some success. Here, we report
one-dimensional photonic-crystal lasing (that is, distributed feedback lasing)
with a cold atom cloud that simultaneously provides both gain and feedback. The
atoms are trapped in a one-dimensional lattice, producing a density modulation
that creates a strong Bragg reflection with a small angle of incidence. Pumping
the atoms with auxiliary beams induces four-wave mixing, which provides
parametric gain. The combination of both ingredients generates a mirrorless
parametric oscillation with a conical output emission, the apex angle of which
is tunable with the lattice periodicity

Recycling graphene from supercapacitor electrodes as reinforcing filler for epoxy resins
A wet shredding process has been developed for recycling graphene from the electrodes of supercapacitors into polymer composites. At first, supercapacitors are cut open to expose the interior graphene based electrodes. The electrodes are heat-treated at 200o C to remove the contained solvent, and the heat treatment temperature can be further increased to remove the polymer binder, which binds the graphene on an aluminium foil current collector. After heat treatment, the electrodes are shredded in an epoxy resin to strip off the graphene and the graphene was subsequently dispersed using a high shear mixer. The dispersed graphene is used directly as reinforcing filler for the epoxy resin. A content of 0.40% (wt) of the recycled graphene resulted in a significant increase in both the tensile strength and elongation at break of the epoxy resin. Removal of the binder increases the reinforcing effect of the recycled graphene. However, a compromise can be made to leave the binder in the recycled graphene in order to avoid secondary pollution
Impacts of organic and conventional crop management on diversity and activity of free-living nitrogen fixing bacteria and total bacteria are subsidiary to temporal effects
A three year field study (2007-2009) of the diversity and numbers of the total and metabolically active free-living diazotophic bacteria and total bacterial communities in organic and conventionally managed agricultural soil was conducted at the Nafferton Factorial Systems Comparison (NFSC) study, in northeast England. The result demonstrated that there was no consistent effect of either organic or conventional soil management across the three years on the diversity or quantity of either diazotrophic or total bacterial communities. However, ordination analyses carried out on data from each individual year showed that factors associated with the different fertility management measures including availability of nitrogen species, organic carbon and pH, did exert significant effects on the structure of both diazotrophic and total bacterial communities. It appeared that the dominant drivers of qualitative and quantitative changes in both communities were annual and seasonal effects. Moreover, regression analyses showed activity of both communities was significantly affected by soil temperature and climatic conditions. The diazotrophic community showed no significant change in diversity across the three years, however, the total bacterial community significantly increased in diversity year on year. Diversity was always greatest during March for both diazotrophic and total bacterial communities. Quantitative analyses using qPCR of each community indicated that metabolically active diazotrophs were highest in year 1 but the population significantly declined in year 2 before recovering somewhat in the final year. The total bacterial population in contrast increased significantly each year. Seasonal effects were less consistent in this quantitative study

A novel orbiter mission concept for venus with the envision proposal
In space exploration, planetary orbiter missions are essential to gain insight into planets as a whole, and to help uncover unanswered scientific questions. In particular, the planets closest to the Earth have been a privileged target of the world’s leading space agencies. EnVision is a mission proposal with the objective of studying Earth’s closest neighbor. Designed for Venus and competing for ESA’s next launch opportunity, the proposal already went through the selective technical review for the M4 launch opportunity, and was submitted to the M5 call, incorporating feedback from ESA. The main goal is to study geological and atmospheric processes, namely surface processes, interior dynamics and atmosphere, to determine the reasons behind Venus and Earth’s radically different evolution despite the planets’ similarities. To achieve these goals, the operational orbit selection is a fundamental element of the mission design process. The design of an orbit around Venus faces specific challenges, such as the impossibility of choosing Sun-synchronous orbits. In this paper, an innovative genetic algorithm optimization was applied to select the optimal orbit based on the parameters with more influence in the mission planning, in particular the mission duration and the coverage of sites of interest on the Venusian surface. After summarizing the EnVision proposal’s mission concept for Venus, the optimization and innovation of the operational orbit design will be analyzed in terms of its benefits to the mission
