Superpositions of the dual family of nonlinear coherent states and their non-classical properties
Nonlinear coherent states (CSs) and their {\it dual families} were introduced
recently. In this paper we want to obtain their superposition and investigate
their non-classical properties such as antibunching effect, quadrature
squeezing and amplitude squared squeezing. For this purpose two types of
superposition are considered. In the first type we neglect the normalization
factors of the two components of the dual pair, superpose them and then we
normalize the obtained states, while in the second type we superpose the two
normalized components and then again normalize the resultant states. As a
physical realization, the formalism will then be applied to a special physical
system with known nonlinearity function, i.e., Hydrogen-like spectrum. We
continue with the (first type of) superposition of the dual pair of
Gazeau-Klauder coherent states (GKCSs) as temporally stable CSs. An application
of the proposal will be given by employing the P\"oschl-Teller potential
system. The numerical results are presented and discussed in detail, showing
the effects of this special quantum interference.Comment: 19 pages, 18 figures, Accpeted for Publication in Optics

Number-phase entropic uncertainty relations and Wigner functions for solvable quantum systems with discrete spectra
In this letter, the number-phase entropic uncertainty relation and the
number-phase Wigner function of generalized coherent states associated to a few
solvable quantum systems with nondegenerate spectra are studied. We also
investigate time evolution of number-phase entropic uncertainty and Wigner
function of the considered physical systems with the help of temporally stable
Gazeau-Klauder coherent states.Comment: 10 pages, 9 figures; To appear in Phys Lett A 200
Quantum phase properties associated to solvable quantum systems using the nonlinear coherent states approach
In this paper we study the quantum phase properties of {\it "nonlinear
coherent states"} and {\it "solvable quantum systems with discrete spectra"}
using the Pegg-Barnett formalism in a unified approach. The presented procedure
will then be applied to few special solvable quantum systems with known
discrete spectrum as well as to some new classes of nonlinear oscillators with
particular nonlinearity functions. Finally the associated phase distributions
and their nonclasscial properties such as the squeezing in number and phase
operators have been investigated, numerically.Comment: 11 pages, 12 figure
Bianchi Type V Viscous Fluid Cosmological Models in Presence of Decaying Vacuum Energy
Bianchi type V viscous fluid cosmological model for barotropic fluid
distribution with varying cosmological term is investigated. We have
examined a cosmological scenario proposing a variation law for Hubble parameter
in the background of homogeneous, anisotropic Bianchi type V space-time.
The model isotropizes asymptotically and the presence of shear viscosity
accelerates the isotropization. The model describes a unified expansion history
of the universe indicating initial decelerating expansion and late time
accelerating phase. Cosmological consequences of the model are also discussed.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figure
Recurrent HOXB13 mutations in the Dutch population do not associate with increased breast cancer risk
The HOXB13 p.G84E mutation has been firmly established as a prostate cancer susceptibility allele. Although HOXB13 also plays a role in breast tumor progression, the association of HOXB13 p.G84E with breast cancer risk is less evident. Therefore, we comprehensively interrogated the entire HOXB13 coding sequence for mutations in 1,250 non-BRCA1/2 familial breast cancer cases and 800 controls. We identified two predicted deleterious missense mutations, p.G84E and p.R217C, that were recurrent among breast cancer cases and further evaluated their association with breast cancer risk in a larger study. Taken together, 4,520 familial non-BRCA1/2 breast cancer cases and 3,127 controls were genotyped including the cases and controls of the whole gene screen. The concordance rate for the genotyping assays compared with Sanger sequencing was 100%. The prostate cancer risk allele p.G84E was identified in 18 (0.56%) of 3,187 cases and 16 (0.70%) of 2,300 controls (OR = 0.81, 95% CI = 0.41-1.59, P = 0.54). Additionally, p.R217C was identified in 10 (0.31%) of 3,208 cases and 2 (0.087%) of 2,288 controls (OR = 3.57, 95% CI = 0.76-33.57, P = 0.14). These results imply that none of the recurrent HOXB13 mutations in the Dutch population are associated with breast cancer risk, although it may be worthwhile to evaluate p.R217C in a larger study
Spatially resolved proteomic profiling identifies tumor cell CD44 as a biomarker associated with sensitivity to PD-1 axis blockade in advanced non-small- cell lung cancer
Most patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) fail to derive significant benefit from programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) axis blockade, and new biomarkers of response are needed. In this study, we aimed to discover and validate spatially resolved protein markers associated with sensitivity to PD-1 axis inhibition in NSCLC
Longitudinal double-spin asymmetry and cross section for inclusive neutral pion production at midrapidity in polarized proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 200 GeV
We report a measurement of the longitudinal double-spin asymmetry A_LL and
the differential cross section for inclusive Pi0 production at midrapidity in
polarized proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 200 GeV. The cross section was
measured over a transverse momentum range of 1 < p_T < 17 GeV/c and found to be
in good agreement with a next-to-leading order perturbative QCD calculation.
The longitudinal double-spin asymmetry was measured in the range of 3.7 < p_T <
11 GeV/c and excludes a maximal positive gluon polarization in the proton. The
mean transverse momentum fraction of Pi0's in their parent jets was found to be
around 0.7 for electromagnetically triggered events.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures, submitted to Phys. Rev. D (RC
Longitudinal scaling property of the charge balance function in Au + Au collisions at 200 GeV
We present measurements of the charge balance function, from the charged
particles, for diverse pseudorapidity and transverse momentum ranges in Au + Au
collisions at 200 GeV using the STAR detector at RHIC. We observe that the
balance function is boost-invariant within the pseudorapidity coverage [-1.3,
1.3]. The balance function properly scaled by the width of the observed
pseudorapidity window does not depend on the position or size of the
pseudorapidity window. This scaling property also holds for particles in
different transverse momentum ranges. In addition, we find that the width of
the balance function decreases monotonically with increasing transverse
momentum for all centrality classes.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figure
