Épocas de ocorrência e medidas de controle dos insetos associados aos frutos da gravioleira, em Rio Branco, Acre.

A demanda por informações sobre o cultivo da gravioleira na região de Rio Branco, vem aumentando consideravelmente, principalmente no que se refere ao ataque de pragas. O ataque de insetos, afeta a qualidade dos frutos ou inviabilizam a sua comercialização, pela baixa qualidade que apresentam. Os frutos são danificados tanto interna como externamente, sendo que, cm ambos os casos, é comum a ocorrência de patógenos, que agravam ainda mais o problema. Avaliação de métodos de enxertia para a gravioleira em Viçosa-MG.

Visando obter informações sobre técnicas de enxertia em gravioleira (Annoma muricata L.), foram avaliados, neste trabalho, nove métodos de enxertia: garfagem à inglesa simples com e sem parafina; garfagem à inglesa com entalhe com e sem parafina; garfagem no topo em fenda cheia com e sem parafina; borbulhia em placa; borbulhia em janela aberta e borbulhia em T invertido. Os métodos de garfagem à inglesa simples e de garfagem no topo em fenda cheia, ambos com e sem parafinados, apresentaram maiores índices no pegamento e brotamento do enxerto. Apesar de não diferirem entre si, os métodos com uso de grafos parafinados podem ser recomendados por proporcionarem menor custo na produção de mudas enxertadas de graviola.Edição do XI Congresso Brasileiro de Fruticultura

Identification of barriers and motivations in the circulation of audiovisual media contents in the Lusophone space: communication, interculturality, citizenship, and interactivity

This research article analyses the main barriers and motivations in the understanding and acceptance of Galician audiovisual media products by a sample of consumers located in different areas of the Lusophone space, according to the new circulation and consumption modes of audiovisual products. To this end, we examined the influence of the cultural codifiers involved in the acceptance of audiovisual contents by certain communities which, despite of being geographically dispersed, share cultural identity elements. Uso de manipueira na compostagem na adubação da mandioca (Manihot esculenta Crantz).

Segundo Oliveira et al. (2005) as vantagens apresentadas pelo composto preparado com o lixo caseiro são as seguintes: melhora a qualidade do solo e reduz a contaminação e poluição ambiental; estimula o exercício à cidadania pela contribuição na diminuição do lixo destinado aos aterros sanitários; melhora a eficiência dos fertilizantes químicos; economiza espaços físicos em aterros sanitários; recicla os nutrientes e elimina agentes patogênicos dos resíduos domésticos. O que deve ser considerado pelo fato de que o lixo doméstico costuma ser mais problemático que os restos de culturas existentes no campo. Nas regiões mandioqueiras, além dos restos culturais, existe a manipueira ou água da mandioca, liberada pelas casas de farinhas e fecularias que passa a ser enorme poluidor, tanto pela presença do Ácido Cianídrico como o acúmulo de grande quantidade de matéria orgânica. Com o despertar das pessoas do campo para as utilidades deste líquido tóxico, uma pergunta muito frequente é: Como guardar a manipueira Sempre é explicado que não se deve acumular em excesso. Recomenda-se usá-la na alimentação dos ruminantes, controle das pragas e doenças e na adubação das lavouras. Uma das maneiras de usá-la na adubação é sob a forma de compostagem que é a transformação dos restos de cultura em adubo orgânico. Neste caso, ela auxilia o processo e passa a ser um componente. Caio Neves, pesquisador da Embrapa Solos, explica à jornalista Juliana Royo, do Portal Dia de Campo, que o adubo orgânico gerado pela mistura feita na leira é excelente para a agricultura. A primeira vantagem é a existência de intensa mistura orgânica, o adubo natural consegue devolver muitos nutrientes ao solo e suprir as necessidades naturais da planta, o que faz a produtividade aumentar em até 20%. Adaptação de variedades de mandioca no Litoral Sul da Bahia.

Segundo o IBGE (2010) a cultura da mandioca é produzida em todos os Estados do Brasil. A Bahia, em 2010, ocupou o terceiro lugar com 3.211.278 t, produzidas em 262.025 ha e com o rendimento médio de 12,3 t/ha. Estes dados comparados com a média de 2000 a 2006, seis anos, (4.078.477 t, em 325.529 hectares colhidos e rendimento 12,5 t/ha) nota-se que a produção aumentou 1.269.494 t e manteve a mesma produtividade por hectare. Para elevar o rendimento desta lavoura é preciso melhorar as práticas agrícolas. Neste particular, a seleção de variedades adaptadas às regiões, com maiores produtividades e elevado teor de amido, pode contribuir bastante.Melhoramento genético. Resumo 132

Una propuesta : enseñar física a niños de grados elementales

With the purpose of doing a previous presentation on Physics issues to children in their school initial steps, we intend to discuss a proposition using the scope of some tales as an appropriate tool to reach that objective. Our paper deals with two experiences. We have presented and established some comments in two of our municipality of Rio de Janeiro schools. In one of them, a public school which deals with students of a lower economic class and another one, a private school dealing with students of a middle economic class. In order to assist achvely in the process of Physics teaching, as a sequence of our proposition, we are describing one of our experiences, which is being developed with educators responsible for students of these levels

Analysing the Impact of the Glass Ceiling in a Managerial Career: The Case of Spain

[EN] The need to break down the barriers facing women in the labour market arouses great interest for reasons of social and sustainability justice. This study breaks new ground on the topic of the "glass ceiling" by assessing the evolution of gender inequality in the proportion of individuals reaching high managerial positions. The application of the csQCA method to a survey of two cohorts of Spanish graduates in management sharing the same starting conditions reveals two factors: job variety and additional education, as conditions that are usually present in a successful managerial career. Our findings confirm the prevalence of the gender gap with little progress in recent years. Women find it more difficult to promote to high managerial positions whereas being a man turns out to almost be a guarantee for eluding low managerial positions. The unexpected profile of agricultural innovators: evidence from an empirical study

[EN] Innovation capacity is essential for farmers to remain competitive and overcome the challenges facing Mediterranean agricultural systems. Based on an extensive empirical study, this paper elucidates the common attributes of innovative farmers in the Region of Valencia (Spain). The model presented in this study investigates whether an innovative attitude can be explained by market-entrepreneurial orientation, learning orientation, individual profile traits and farm size. The findings provide insights into how age and experience affect innovation in agricultural smallholdings. The study shows that the most innovative farmers run large farms and have a strong market-entrepreneurial orientation. On the fragility of nuclear stellar discs against galaxy mergers: surviving photometric and kinematic signatures of nuclear discs

This article has been accepted for publication in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. © 2015 The Authors Published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the Royal Astronomical Society.Nuclear stellar discs (NSDs) can help to constrain the assembly history of their host galaxies, as long as we can assume them to be fragile structures that are disrupted during merger events. In this work we investigate the fragility of NSDs by means of N-body simulations reproducing the last phases of a galaxy encounter, when the nuclear regions of the two galaxies merge. For this, we exposed an NSD set in the gravitational potential of the bulge and supermassive black hole of a primary galaxy to the impact of the supermassive black hole from a secondary galaxy. We explored merger events of different mass ratios, from major mergers with a 1:1 mass ratio to intermediate and minor interactions with 1:5 and 1:10 ratios, while considering various impact geometries. We analyse the end results of such mergers from different viewing angles and look for possible photometric and kinematic signatures of the presence of a disc in the remnant surface density and velocity maps, while adopting detection limits from real observations. Our simulations show that indeed NSDs are fragile against major mergers, which leave little trace of NSDs both in images and velocity maps, while signatures of a disc can be found in the majority of the intermediate to minor-merger remnants and in particular when looking at their kinematics. These results show that NSDs could allow us to distinguish between these two modes of galaxy assembly, which may indeed pertain to different kinds of galaxies or galactic environments.Peer reviewe
