The role of the political argentinian ruling class in the promotion of a new international relations pattern
In particular, studies the formation of a consensus between the two major parties of the political system on foreign policy, in its various dimensions, which made possible the deepening of international integration dependent. It will analyze the structural and economic conditions of that consensus gestation and their specific conten
The social construction of handicap: The Montevideo experience
In the process of consolidation of modern rationality, different analytical
categories of the concepts of inclusion and exclusion can be identified along
history. This process is determined by the social construction of the idea of
«normality». This idea is delimited in the different societies by the dominant
ideology which, in a specific space/time framework, tends to hegemony. Being
part of an «us», or being put in the place of «others» sets an important starting
point. Recognising social exclusion as a category for the analysis of poverty and
marginality is used as a mediation for the social construction of handicap. From
this theoretical framework, this article analyses the experience of the Commission
of Social Management for the Handicapped of Montevideo City Council for the

Critical reading and use of comics in teaching French as a foreign language
Adapting teaching to all learning styles is a very difficult feat. However, it is desirable for teachers to diversify learning methods as much as possible and to take into account individual differences to improve the chances of success for as many learners as possible. The present research provides a methodological proposal on the multiple possibilities of comics as a tool in the field of foreign languages, focusing on the possible uses of comics with French as a Foreign Language (FFL) students guided towards the reading, analysis and comprehension of academic texts mixed with concepts and expressions of the current society. The results indicate possible positive effects on vocabulary development and motivation towards reading and overcoming language barriers in reading authentic material using context and prior knowledge. Therefore, the comic book is an excellent tool for developing students' reading competence in a foreign language, which aims not only to serve as a way of learning the linguistic characteristics of the target language, but also to learn about the sociocultural reality of said language (both current and past) and to arouse curiosity towards its artistic and cultural representations. In addition, it is a format that increases students’ motivation by creating a relaxed atmosphere in the classroom in which teamwork and reflection are encouraged.Xunta de Galicia | Ref. ED431C 2021/5
Discourses Analysis by a Decolonial Perspective
In the last years in Latin America, the decolonial perspective has been growing up to analyze discourses in qualitative research. This theoretical, methodological, and epistemological way to deconstruction has done an interesting way to analyze social topics. Some authors like Dussel, Quijano, etc. have done the bases about this decolonial regard, which provides Latin American researchers a way to analyze social problems taking the North Global theories but also increasing them with our decolonial perspective. We call it the South Global regard. It is not only to know that the classifications and qualifications of the north global reproduce the inequalities in the material life, but also the theoretical and epistemological way to analyze it. The decolonial theory, used also to analyze discourses, gives the possibility to understand people’s feelings, emotions, and sensations; meanwhile, words are given in the speeches, interviews, participating observation, focus group, etc
Matías : a childhood pathologized by behavior
Being confined to be lulled into feelings, perceptions, actions and forms of expression can be many times the solution of the adult world to their own discomforts of a child's world in motion. When situations go out of thousands of children being medicated with psychotropic drugs in Uruguay as a way to regulate their movements "exacerbated" we should begin to denature if it is not the collective (ir)responsibility adult world. Through the story of Matias a singular life, welted different in their particulars, repeated in several family and educational contexts is presented.Fil: Míguez Passada, María Noel.

Prevalence of Depression during Pregnancy in Spanish Women: Trajectory and Risk Factors in Each Trimester
The aims of this research were to determine the trajectories of probable depression and major depression during pregnancy and to identify the associated and predictor variables (sociodemographic, pregnancy-related, and psychological) for both conditions in each trimester of pregnancy. A longitudinal study was carried out with 569 pregnant Spanish women who were assessed in the first, second, and third trimesters of pregnancy. Depression was assessed using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale and a clinical interview. Measures of anxiety and stress were also included. The prevalence of probable depression in the first, second, and third trimesters was 23.4%, 17.0%, and 21.4%, respectively, and that of major depression was 5.1%, 4.0%, and 4.7%. Thus, the prevalence of both conditions was the highest in the first and third trimesters. The trajectories of probable depression and major depression followed the same pattern throughout pregnancy. All of the psychological variables studied were associated with both conditions in all three trimesters, with perceived stress being a predictor at all times. The association between the other variables and both conditions of depression was similar. Two exceptions stand out: having had previous miscarriages, which was only associated with probable depression and was also a predictor, in the first trimester; and complications during pregnancy, which was only associated with probable and major depression in the third trimester. These findings should be taken into account in routine pregnancy follow-ups, and necessary interventions should be started in the first trimester.S
The aim of this study is to obtain a Spanish brief version of the Pregnancy Related Anxiety Questionnaire and analyse its psychometric properties. A longitudinal study was carried out on a sample of 569 Spanish pregnant women with normal risk status. Participants were assessed in the first, second, and third trimesters of pregnancy by using a socio-demographic and obstetric-gynaecological questionnaire, the PRAQ-55, the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale, and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. PRAQ-55 items with factorial loads > .50 were selected resulting in a final scale of 20 items. A cut-off point ≥ 67 (85th percentile) was used to identify women with high pregnancy-specific anxiety.
In these modern societies, becomes as "normal" and ordinary the uniformization of people, precious and required values which results of hegemony in thought, action and feeling. In this sense, it means that they have evolved over these last three centuries the forms of "require" such hegemony, not the essence itself, orienting to humans in their individuality and collectively to hegemony of the duty to be. It is considered the formal education as one of the pillars on which it has been argued the formation of modern social persons; based on discipline and normalization through educational curricula that preclude marginalities between what is and what is expected of each person.Fil: Míguez Passada, María Noel.Fil: Silva Cabrera, Cecilia
[Abstract] The main objective of this work is to obtain an in-depth understanding of digital communication strategies employed by hos-pitals by comparing and contrasting the digital communication of two hospitals of reference in Spain. The main method is content analysis of Facebook and Twitter along with in-depth interviews of hospital communication directors. Results show different communication strategies that depend on organizational goals. The public participated in digital communication within three themes: 1) general, sensitive, and topical health issues; 2) personal and professional projects, as well as initia-tives for struggle or sensitization; 3) corporate novelties that encourage public involvement. The use of currently existing platforms of social media from which to manage the online communication should be a priority for hospitals. Multimedia content can help to disclose health information.
