    Student needs a help service study that gets to help increase their studying achievement. The research was aimed to: (1) valid student work sheet with reading basis of quadrangle by using CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) method; (2) measure the effectiveness of the learning material which used student work sheet with reading basis for teaching quadrangle in seven graders by using circ method; (3) describing practicality by used student work sheet with reading basis for teaching quadrangle in seven graders by using CIRC. This type of research used model of 4-D which consisted of the phase of preliminary investigation, the phase of define, design, develop, and disseminate. But, in this reaserch just until phase of develop. It has also been developed student worksheet. The subjects of the research were the seventh graders, with Clutser Sampling, gotten two classes which is the experiment class and control class. The research data were collected from (1) validation sheet; (2) Observation sheet; (3) questionnaire, and (4) the test. The results showed (1) student work sheet developed have been declared valid by the validator with an average score of 3,4 from supreme scores 4, (2) teacher ability observation result gotten 3,6 of supreme scores 4 and student response are gotten 87% one mean developed tool practical; (3) result from experiment showed the average achievement of those trial class which performed better than those of control class. Base explanation upon, concluded that the development of student work sheet with reading basis for teaching quadrangle in seven graders by using CIRC accomplishes valid tools, practical purpose and effective learning.     Quadratic function is one of the important topic in mathematics. The purpose of this study is to describe the mistakes made by students when drawing a quadratic function graph. In this research, the focus of the problem is what type of mistakes made by students in drawing a graph of quadratic functions. The form of error here referred to an error in doing the exercise of drawing quadratic function graph in learning with the PBL model using a true or false strategy assisted by GeoGebra application. The conclusion of this research states that the error in drawing quadratic function graph is dominated by procedural errors.     Deskripsi kemampuan representasi matematis siswa kelas VIII ditinjau dari gaya kognitif reflektif-impulsif

    Kemampuan representasi matematis dibutuhkan siswa guna memperoleh gagasan matematis dari sesuatu yang abstrak ke konkret. Kemampuan representasi matematis memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan gaya kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa kelas VIII yang ditinjau dari gaya kognitif reflektif-impulsif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII G SMP N 1 Buayan yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Siswa dikelompokkan ke dalam empat gaya kognitif yaitu reflektif, impulsif, cepat akurat, dan lambat tidak akurat, kemudian dipilih 3 siswa dengan gaya kognitif reflektif dan 3 siswa dengan gaya kognitif impulsif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, tes tertulis, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles and Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Siswa bergaya kognitif reflektif sudah mampu menguasai indikator kemampuan representasi visual dan simbolik dengan baik, juga telah mampu menggunakan teks tertulis atau kata-kata untuk menjawab soal, namun belum mampu menuliskan urutan langkah-langkah menemukan solusi dari permasalahan dengan kata-kata dengan baik; (2) Siswa bergaya kognitif impulsif sudah mampu menguasai indikator kemampuan representasi visual dan verbal dengan baik, juga telah mampu memanfaatkan simbol, namun belum mampu menyusun suatu model matematis dalam proses penyelesaian masalah dengan baik.Kata kunci: Kemampuan Representasi Matematis; Gaya Kognitif Reflektif-Impulsi

    Pemecahan masalah sebagai pendekatan dalam pembelajaran, digunakan untuk menemukan dan memahami materi atau konsep matematika. Sedangkan sebagai tujuan dalam pembelajaran, merupakan kemampuan yang harus dicapai mahasiswa. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa melalui metode Snow Ball Throwing semester VII Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika. Rata-Rata skor awal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah yaitu 1,96, Rata-rata skor tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siklus pertama yaitu 2,1. Skor tersebut masuk pada kategori cukup baik. Rata-rata skor tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siklus kedua yaitu 2,73. Skor tersebut masuk pada kategori cukup baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa melalui Metode Snowball Throwing pada mata kuliah teori graf meningkat

    PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA BERBASIS APLIKASI ANDROID LINES AND ANGLES PADA MATERI GARIS DAN SUDUT UNTUK SISWA SMP/MTS

    Today's technology is rapidly advancing. Educators must keep pace with technological progress. The increasing use of smartphones and tablets among students and teachers has spurred the development of more innovative and interactive Android-based learning media. Android-based learning resources are required to assist technological growth, especially for pupils in junior high school. This study aims to develop a valid Android application-based math learning tool and ascertain teachers' and students' reactions. The 4D development model put forth by Thiagarajan (1974) is the basis for this study's research and development (RD) approach. Analysis was completed using student responses, teacher feedback, and expert validation. The findings revealed that the android-based mathematics learning media for seventh-grade students' "lines and angles" topic achieved an average validity score of 4.253, indicating it's highly valid. Teachers' responses had an average score of 4.3, deeming the media very helpful, and student feedback had an average score of 3.87, declaring it helpful. Based on the results, the proposed learning media is feasible as a learning supplement and is worthy of further development

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa pendidikan matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas III C semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2013/ 2014. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dimana setiap siklusnya terdiri dari dua kali pembelajaran dan satu kali tes. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu pada sisklus I rata-rata skor tes 3,66 artinya masuk kriteria baik. Dengan rata-rata kemampuan analisis 4,54 , evaluasi yaitu 2,76, dan kreasi 2,83. Hasil penelitian Siklus II yaitu rata-rata skor tes 4,16 artinya masuk kriteria sangat baik. Dengan rata-rata kemampuan analisis 4,60, evaluasi 4,12, dan kreasi 2,88. Dari hasil tes kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa pada siklus II, terlihat mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I dan minimal masuk kriteria baik, sehingga penelitian dikatakan berhasil.     DESKRIPSI KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF MATEMATIS DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA SMP NEGERI 1 SUMBANG

    This research aimed to describe students' mathematical creative thinking ability at SMPNegeri 1 Sumbang. This research belongs to descriptive qualitative research. The subjects ofthis research were the students Grade VII G of SMP Negeri 1 Sumbang. The samples weretaken using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using questionnaire, test,interview, and documentation. The data validity test used in this research was triangulation.The results of this research illustrate that: 1) Low category students could meet one indicatorof mathematic creative thinking ability i.e. fluency. Their learning motivation was good. Theypreferred to learn in a group. They were enthusiastic when they were given awards during theinstruction. 2) Medium category students could meet two indicators of mathematic creativethinking ability i.e. fluency and flexibility. Their learning motivation was very good. Theywere active during the instruction and they preferred to work autonomously. They sometimesreviewed the lesson that had been learned at school. 3) High category students could mastermathematic creative thinking ability i.e. fluency and flexibility. Their learning motivation wasvery good. When they met hard questions, they would try to solve the problems well.     Statistical Literacy Process of Prospective Mathematics Teachers: A Case Study of Pisa Model Problems

    This study explained the use of the statistical literacy process for prospective mathematics teachers in solving PISA model problems. The applied approach was a qualitative descriptive approach The researchers grouped the subjects into low, moderate, and high ability categories based on the previous academic test results. Then, the researchers collected the data from statistical literacy skill tests and interviews. The researchers analyzed the data by reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. In this research, the statistical literacy processes consisted of data orientation, data process, data interpretation, and data evaluation. The results showed that moderate and high categories students could focus on math problems. The evidence was the students understood the given information. The middle and high-category students had excellent statistical literacy processes. However, the high-category students could explain the statistical literacy process systematically and carefully. The high-category students could demonstrate their writing, implementing, and interpreting strategies of the obtained answers

    PENGEMBANGAN MODUL STATISTIKA DESKRIPTIF BERBASIS PEMECAHAN MASALAH

    Penelitian dan Pengembangan ini difokuskan untuk mengembangkan modul statistika deskriptif berbasis pemecahan masalah. Modul dikembangkan menggunakan tahapan perencanaan, perancangan, dan pengembangan yang diadopsi dari model pengembangan Thiagarajan. Modul dikatakan valid berdasarkan penilaian validator; dikatakan praktis berdasarkan hasil angket respon mahasiswa; dan dikatakan efektif berdasarkan hasil ujicoba modul berbasis pemecahan masalah. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa modul memenuhi kevalidan dengan rata-rata 3,45 dari rata-rata maksimal 4,00. Hasil angket respon memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan dengan rata-rata 4,47 dari rata-rata maksimal 5,00. Sedangkan hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa memenuhi kriteria keefektifan yang ditunjukkan dari hasil uji One-Sampel t-Test bahwa pemecahan masalah mahasiswa telah mencapai KKM yang ditentukan. Berdasarkan ketiga hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa modul berbasis pemecahan masalah memenuhi ketiga kriteria tersebut, yaitu: valid, praktis, dan efektif. Research and development are focused on developing descriptive statistics based on problem-solving modules. Modules produced using the stages of planning, design, and development adopted from the Thiagarajan development model. Modules are said to be valid based on validator ratings. They are supposed to practice based on the results of the student response questionnaire; and assumed to be effective based on the results of the module-based problem-solving trials. The validation results show that the module meets validity with an average of 3.45 out of a maximum of 4.00. The response questionnaire's results matched the practicality criteria, with an average of 4.47 out of a maximum of 5.00. While the test results of students ' problem-solving abilities meet the effectiveness criteria shown from the results of the One-Sample t-Test that students' problem solving has reached the specified KKM. Based on the three results show that the problem-based module meets the three criteria, namely: valid, practical, and effective
