A GESTÃO DO ENSINO, DA PESQUISA E DA EXTENSÃO VISANDO À FORMAÇÃO DO ESPECIALISTA EM POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS E GESTÃO GOVERNAMENTAL DO ESTADO DE MINAS GERAIS

O presente trabalho destina-se a analisar o tripé do ensino, pesquisa e extensão no curso de Administração Pública da Escola de Governo Professor Paulo Neves de Carvalho, que se destina à formação de Especialistas em Políticas Públicas e Gestão Governamental do Estado de Minas Gerais. Para tanto, é apresentada de forma detalhada a experiência única e inovadora, que atrela a formação em curso de graduação ao ingresso na mencionada carreira pública. O curso de Administração Pública é apresentado em suas especificidades, com especial atenção ao tripé na formação acadêmica. Tendo mais de 20 anos de existência o artigo demonstra que o curso não enfrenta grandes desafios, mantendo-se ainda inovador. Por outro lado, o Estado de Minas Gerais depara-se com problemas relacionados à gestão da carreira de Especialista em Políticas Públicas e Gestão Governamental, especialmente, no que se refere à retenção de talentos

A utilização do Laboratório de Educação Matemática na escola: experiências com professores que ensinam matemática.

This research presents an investigation about the implementation of the Mathematical Education Laboratory in the elementary school. From the guiding question: “What voices are present when presenting the Mathematical Education Laboratory as a pedagogical proposal in the elementary school?”, it has aimed to study the laboratory-school relationship through the experience with teachers during a continuing education course. In order to guide the study, the specific objectives were: to conduct a theoretical study about the central themes of the research; to obtain specific information through questionnaires sent to teachers from Juiz de Fora/MG and region; to structure and offer a continuing education course about the Mathematical Education Laboratory for elementary school teachers and to identify expressive aspects in the speeches of teachers and school staff regarding the topics that were discussed. The theoretical axes used for the basis of the study were socioconstructivism, the continuing education of teachers and the use of manipulative teaching materials in the teaching and learning process. The qualitative study was developed through questionnaires and experiences with teachers participating in the continuing education course in the city of Juiz de Fora/MG and region. Within the general goal of bringing participants closer to the laboratory environment, the course also intended to stimulate the process of structuring this place in the school and provide teachers with reflections and discussions on the subject. Through participant observation, the information collected during the course was analyzed by dividing the place of speech between teachers and school staff. After data analysis, it was verified that the voices expressed by teachers and school teams were positive regarding the laboratory and its importance in the teaching and learning process. Similarly, some difficulties were found in the implementation of this environment by both, as well as some moments of divergence between the two place of speech. These adversities corroborate the needs, as the authors previously studied pointed out, of the relevance of continuing teacher education.Esta pesquisa apresenta uma investigação sobre a implementação do Laboratório de Educação Matemática na escola básica. A partir da pergunta diretriz: “Quais vozes estão presentes ao apresentar o Laboratório de Educação Matemática como proposta pedagógica na escola básica?”, almejou-se estudar a relação laboratório-escola por meio da experiência com professores durante um curso de formação continuada. A fim de orientar o estudo, os objetivos específicos norteadores foram: realizar estudo teórico acerca dos temas centrais da pesquisa; obter informações específicas por meio de questionários enviados a professores de Juiz de Fora/MG e região; estruturar e oferecer um curso de formação continuada sobre o Laboratório de Educação Matemática para professores da escola básica e identificar aspectos expressivos nas falas dos professores e da equipe da escola frente aos temas discutidos. Os eixos teóricos utilizados para o embasamento do estudo foram o socioconstrutivismo, a formação continuada de professores e a utilização de materiais didáticos manipuláveis no processo de ensino e de aprendizagem. O estudo, de cunho qualitativo, foi desenvolvido por meio de questionários e experiências com professores participantes do curso de formação continuada, na cidade de Juiz de Fora/MG e região. Com o objetivo geral de aproximar os participantes do ambiente do laboratório, o curso também pretendia estimular o processo de estruturação desse local na escola e proporcionar aos professores reflexões e discussões sobre o tema. Por meio da observação participante, as informações coletadas durante o curso foram analisadas a partir da divisão dos locais de fala entre os professores e a equipe da escola. Após a análise de dados, verificou-se que as vozes expressadas pelos professores e equipes das escolas foram positivas em relação ao laboratório e sua importância no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Da mesma forma, foram constatadas dificuldades na implementação desse ambiente por ambos, além de alguns momentos de divergência entre os dois locais de fala. Essas adversidades corroboram com as necessidades, como os autores estudados apontavam, da relevância da formação continuada de professores

Sightbite: a embalagem interativa para cachorros

O presente trabalho de conclusão de curso visa contribuir às discussões existentes a respeito da visão canina com questionamentos sobre o quanto a perspectiva dos cachorros é levada em conta durante a elaboração de um produto direcionado a eles. Para tal, considera-se a importância da adaptação de conceitos de experiência do usuário para usuários caninos, bem como a necessidade de enxergar o mundo a partir de uma ótica não-humana. A coleta de dados foi feita por meio de pesquisas on-line, bem como através de testes realizados com animais. A análise dos resultados embasou a criação de uma embalagem interativa totalmente elaborada para melhor atender o real público-alvo desse projeto: o cão

A educação física e as práticas corporais

Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (graduação)—Universidade de Brasília, Faculdade de Educação Física, 2019.O presente trabalho teve como tema as práticas corporais na Educação Física, e como objetivo verificar sobre os estudos relacionados ás práticas corporais na educação básica. Este estudo consistiu em uma revisão da literatura com caráter interpretativo e crítico, buscando suscitar questões acerca da educação básica e as práticas corporais. Foram abordadas as etapas da educação básica com relação ás práticas corporais e seus conteúdos, discorrendo sobre as diversas vivências que a Educação Física proporciona para os estudantes em ambiente escolar. Também considerou-se como tópico a importância do professor mediar diferenciadas situações em momentos de aula, buscando sempre aproximar-se dos estudantes e suas realidades. Concluiu-se que as práticas corporais relacionadas com a Educação Física são dispositivos culturais que precisam ser apropriados pelos professores nas aulas

The Value of IT: Explaining the Strategic Role of Information Systems for Fast Growing SMES

This article investigates fast growing and successful small and medium enterprises (SMEs). We focus particularly on the role and relevance of information systems (IS) skills and knowledge for their success. Although many theories account for the relationship between IS and organizational performance, they target mostly the context of large corporations, thus overlooking the special conditions that fast growing SMEs face. We specifically investigate fast growing SMEs for the following reasons: these companies are subject to constant organizational change due to their continuous growth and thus rely critically on having the right IS setup and strategy, while at the same time they are often too small and specialized for out-of-the-box enterprise IS solutions. Based on an interpretive multiple-case study design, we present three generic, archetypal IS strategies, ranging from full identification with and capitalization on IS to complete cost-based outsourcing of all IS related services. We analyze the inherent chances and risks associated with each of these strategies and present anecdotal evidence from the case companies to illustrate our findings

PERSPECTIVAS E DESAFIOS NAS INSTITUIÇÕES DE EDUCAÇÃO SUPERIOR NO ENSINO DO CAMPO DE PÚBLICAS E SUAS RELAÇÕES COM A SOCIEDADE

As instituições de educação superior no ensino do campo de públicas, dentre outros, objetivam a formação de servidores públicos para ingresso nas diversas carreiras de Estado, o que faz com que tenham uma responsabilidade de formação de um núcleo de gestão governamental qualificado, responsável e eficiente. Tal formação proporciona ao Estado uma profissionalização que auxilia na implementação de reformas importantes na sua gestão além de estreitar a sua relação com a sociedade. Assim sendo, o presente ensaio tem por objetivo apresentar as perspectivas e desafios nas Instituições de Educação Superior no ensino do campo de públicas e qual o seu impacto na relação entre o Estado e a Sociedade. Para isto realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica na literatura sobre o tema e uma pesquisa documental na legislação correlata. Verificou-se que uma das características dos cursos do campo de públicas é o caráter inovador. Seus egressos exercem um importante papel na relação entre o Estado e a Sociedade. Contudo, o campo de públicas precisa se fortalecer e para isto é essencial a homologação das diretrizes curriculares nacionais para estes cursos

The production of mRNA vaccines in the COVID-19 pandemic: advent of new applications in health treatments

Modern vaccines developed using mRNA technology are highly accurate formulations designed to stimulate the production of a variety of antigenic properties in the user in order to activate adaptive immunity. This enables the use of such technology in the research of vaccines against several infectious diseases, such as hepatitis C, Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), malaria, tuberculosis, in addition to chronic diseases, such as some types of cancer. Such vaccines were an efficient alternative in the fight against COVID-19 and have remarkable characteristics, such as the versatility of their applications and the ability to encode and express virtually any type of protein. Like this, this work is justified by the need to know the potential applications of this technology in clinical practice and in the search for effective alternative solutions in the fight against infectious and chronic diseases. A systematic review of the literature was carried out, including texts in Portuguese or English from 2019 to the present day and original texts published before 2019, searched in databases such as Science Direct, US National Library of Medicine, Scielo, Pubmed and Instituto Nacional de Industrial Property (INPI)

Breastfeeding and behavior disorders among children and adolescents: a systematic review

OBJECTIVE: This systematic review study aimed to assess the evidence available for the association between breastfeeding and behavior disorders in childhood and adolescence. METHODS: The search was carried out in the PubMed, Lilacs, and PsycINFO databases up to December 2016. Inclusion criteria were as follows: prospective, retrospective and cross-sectional studies assessing the association between breastfeeding and behavior disorders in childhood or adolescence, using psychometric tests, carried out in humans and published in Portuguese, English, or Spanish. The search was performed in several stages by two independent researchers using pre-established criteria. RESULTS: Eighteen studies met the inclusion criteria. Breastfeeding for a period equal to or higher than three or four months seemed to be inversely associated with total behavior and conduct disorders in childhood; however, the association remains unclear for other behavior disorders. Only four studies assessed behavior disorders in adolescence, and when an association was found, it was likely to be positive. The duration of breastfeeding seemed to be more important than the exclusive or non-exclusive pattern of breastfeeding. CONCLUSIONS: Breastfed children for at least three to four months had fewer total behavior and conduct disorders in childhood. Further studies are needed to better understand this association, particularly in adolescence and involving other behavioral profiles

A CONDIÇÃO DOCENTE DOS PROFESSORES DA REDE ESTADUAL DE EDUCAÇÃO DE MINAS GERAIS: A SITUAÇÃO DOS DESIGNADOS

The objective of this article is to present the result of a state-of-knowledge study about the teaching condition of assigned teachers from the Public Education Network of Minas Gerais (REE-MG). At REE-MG, the institute of the temporary contract was a distinct figure, the Assignment. Established in 1990, it is a determining element of the objective dimension of the teaching condition in this network. The uncertainties are inherent to the temporality of the contract are added to the constant legal and managerial changes related to it and the phenomenon dimension, which has reached 75.5% of teachers in the classroom. The history, dimensioning, explanation, and measurement of the designation impacts are challenges that have been faced by researchers, according to the conclusions of this study. Reversing the observed picture, in order to promote the improvement of the teaching condition at REE-MG, is up to the public administration and it is something even more challenging than understanding it.O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar o resultado de um estudo de tipo estado do conhecimento sobre a condição docente dos professores designados da Rede Estadual de Educação de Minas Gerais (REE-MG). Na REE-MG, o instituto do contrato temporário constituiu-se em uma figura distinta, a designação. Instituída em 1990, a designação é um elemento determinante da dimensão objetiva da condição docente nessa rede de ensino. Às incertezas inerentes à temporalidade do contrato, somam-se as constantes mudanças jurídicas e gerenciais a ele relacionadas e a dimensão do fenômeno, que já chegou a atingir 75,5% dos professores em sala de aula. O histórico, o dimensionamento, a explicação e a medida dos impactos da designação são os desafios que vêm sendo enfrentados pelos pesquisadores, conforme o que foi concluído nesse estudo. Reverter o quadro observado, de modo a promover a melhoria da condição docente na REE-MG, cabe à administração pública e se trata de algo ainda mais desafiante do que compreendê-lo
