Treball Final de Grau en Mestre o Mestra d'Educació Infantil. Codi: MI1040. This present Degree Final Dissertation is mainly focused on doing a research on how the process of gender social influences students. This is a key concept to understand and apply the gender focus to the elementary school level as well as explaining the tools on which teachers count to revert such situation and, therefore, to turn our current school system into a co-educational area. Every single human being is far from being born on an empty world, since we happen to find a series of archetypes or stereotypes that will shape their way of feeling, living and even thinking. Those in charge of getting these ideas through to the rest of people are the several agents of socialization that take part in both children’s gender and personality formation. One of them is their school, which is the very first place they start to socialize after their families. Nevertheless, schools happen to be full of gender-role archetypes that prevent students from developing freely. To change things up and, thus, to turn schools into a much more free and equal spaces, teachers can count on co-education. By only making use of this approach they will get rid of the existing power gap i.e. any situation in which male dominance affects female students, which in turn may lead to one of the worst outcomes to be found: violence against women episodes

The sustainability of a large proportion of Spanish olive oil-producing territories depends to a great extent on their capacity to fit into a specific model of food quality. The strategies used in the di erent territories di er with respect to their adherence to the objectifiable conception of quality, based on scientific-technical knowledge, or subjectivating conception of quality, based on tacit and practical knowledge. In this paper, we analyse the route taken by two territories with olive oil protected designation of origin (PDO) status in Spain to construct their quality model, the type of knowledge that has been applied and how knowledge processes a ect the construction of sustainable quality models. This study applies a qualitative methodology based on participative observation and semi-structured interviews with key actors of the territories. The results indicate that processes of production, reproduction and dissemination of knowledge are basic pillars for the construction of sustainable quality projects. The degree of understanding of the objectifiable and subjectivating conception of quality in olive-producing territories and the interaction between them depend on the specific characteristics of the territory, the objectives set in connection to the olive oil quality method, the importance given to the di erent types of knowledge, and its standing on the issue of territorial sustainabilit

In today’s globalized market place, it is of upmost important to learn how to approach a foreign market as well as what will have an effect on your methods of entry into this one. This project has sought to understand how the internationalization of globalizing internationals is seen affected when entering the BRIC emerging markets. There has been little research, prior to this study, looking into the foreign operation methods used by globalizing internationals when entering the BRIC countries as well as the influencing factors affecting these decisions. In order to gather data for the study, 12 semi-structured interviews were conducted on experienced workers from one case company. This allowed the data to have a bigger depth and provided a better understanding of the topic. The gathered data was organized into categories created thought the study’s theoretical framework and then analyzed in order to test the different hypothesis. In order to analyze the case company’s data, this study looks into their internationalization process, the effect that the change from an international to a global company has had on their operating methods, what motivates them to enter BRIC countries, what influences their entry mode selection into these countries, how they develop these operation methods as well as, why and when they re-evaluate and modify their entry method strategy. This study found that the main reason to enter the BRIC countries was the market potential as well as market access, and the customers’ location. Furthermore, some of the biggest influencing factors were the government and regulations, as well as the country’s economic development. Last but not least, the interviewees found that the most common reasons for FOM change were in order to react to a changing situation, divest from an undesired partnership or improve their governance. Method combination has only been tested to be used in order to manage unrelated business units. While the findings cannot be generalized, as they are based solely on one case company, this study sets the grounds for future research done on other markets and other companies.fi=Opinnäytetyö kokotekstinä PDF-muodossa.|en=Thesis fulltext in PDF format.|sv=Lärdomsprov tillgängligt som fulltext i PDF-format

    Get PDF

According to the results of an exploratory research on Thermodynamics, it is concluded that the university students tested prefer explanations which account for underlying mechanisms (batigenous explanations) in physical phenomena analysed during the instruction process. Usage of explanations of this type as a promising didactical resource in the teaching of certain thermodynamic changes in gases is suggested, and two particular processes are used as examples

We study a proposal made by Duschl in regard to the use of Laudan's triadic network concerning the relationship between the theory, method and objectives of Science, as well as Shapere's observation model, for didactic purposes. We analyse the possible adaptation of the above theoretical models to fulfill the requirements of the Argentinian formal education. Both epistemological systems, adequate for facilitating the conceptual changes in the classroom, were taken as referents for the design of teaching approaches of thermal phenomena in Physics. We describe the way in which we deal with certain specific subjects in one particular course, addressed to Physics teachers, in which the above design was used. The results obtained are analyzed and dicussed and certain still-standing issues are mentioned

Rethinking Iberian ‘warrior’ stelae: a multidisciplinary investigation of Mirasiviene and its connection to Setefilla (Lora del Río, Seville, Spain)

Iberian ‘warrior’ stelae have captured the imagination of researchers and the public for more than a century. Traditionally, stelae were considered ‘de-contextualised’ monuments, and research typically focused on the study of their iconography, paying little or no attention to their immediate contexts. As a result, despite the large number of these stelae known to date (c. 140) and the ample body of literature that has dealt with them, fundamental questions remain unanswered. This paper aims to demonstrate the potential of a multidisciplinary and contextual approach to push forward the research agenda on these monuments through a case study. Firstly, we introduce the Mirasiviene stela and the methods deployed for its investigation, which include a variety of digital imaging techniques, petrography, pXRF, intensive survey and multiscalar spatial analysis. Secondly, we discuss the results in relation to three main topics: stela biography, social practices and landscape context. Comparisons to the well-known nearby Bronze Age and Iron Age site of Setefilla are made throughout the discussion. Ultimately, this paper makes a case for the stelae of Mirasiviene and Setefilla being polyvalent monuments made by local artisans, that served both as landmarks and memorials in connection with dense late second and early first millennium BCE settlement patterns in the region. Probably linked to elites, ‘houses’ or kin groups of this time, stelae were set in symbolically charged places, liminal spaces nearby water, burials and pathways, attracting a range of ritual activities throughout the centuries. The study of the newly discovered Mirasiviene stela shows that multidisciplinary, cutting-edge non-destructive archaeology can shed significant new light on these prehistoric monuments, thus providing a glimpse of what in our opinion is a paradigm shift in the research of similar monuments throughout Europe. The research was financed by the Spanish Ministry of Education (Programa Nacional de Movilidad de Recursos Humanos del Plan Nacional de I-D+i 2008-2011) (post-doctoral grant awarded to MDG) and the Polish National Science Centre (grant number DEC-2017/ 25/B/HS3/00635) (awarded to MK)
