The category of Place: Grammar to Discourse
El análisis lingüÃstico se realiza mediante el método antes mencionado (PARDO, 2011).The aim of this paper is to discuss some concepts related to synchro-diachronic method to the linguistic analysis of texts (from now on MSDALT) (PARDO, 1996, 2011). This is an exploratory research. Specifically we try to account for the grammaticalized category and, therefore, obligatory Place. It is recognized the orientative role of the category Place; however, this can change its role in the text and become a category of semantic-discursive character. In addition, this category becomes one of the topics of the text in which it is included. This re-functionality of the category of Place seems to keep a link with the postmodern discussion about space, and this happened in modernity with grammaticalized Time category. This topic is outlined in this paper for future research. The theoretical framework of this research is Discourse Analysis. The methodology is qualitative and the selected corpus is made up of news on YouTube chronic surveyed, of which two are taken as examples. The linguistic analysis is performed by the aforementioned method (PARDO, 2011).Fil: Pardo, Maria Laura. Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones CientÃficas y Técnicas; Argentina. The concept of identity in relation to motherhood in the discourse of teenagers who attend a pregnancy from a linguistic and psychoanalytical perspective
My aim in this paper is to briefly discuss the notion of identity and how can unify the Psychoanalytical concept with the discursive, in order to carry out multidisciplinary research on this topic. This work is based on life stories collected in the Hospital Larcade, from 2008 to 2011, from teenagers who attend a pregnancy. Through the linguistic analysis of the guarantees, following the model of Toulmin (17), as it has been redefined by Pardo (14) and Molina (12), I intend to give an account of the discursive and psychological bases of what will then form an identity for these young women on maternity. They live in extreme poverty in the Buenos Aires suburbs and are combined with a large dose of family violence that links their identities as mothers to the image (or identities of the other) who have over their own mothers, parents, couples in these contexts of violence. These data are also confronted with domestic violence cases that appear in the media and how they are dealt with discursively at these. Thus realizes the contradictions imposed the cultural identity of a group (the viewers or readers of means, which are a large part of society) against the experience of violence of these mothers. This research has as theoretical framework the Critical Discourse Analysis and the methodology is qualitative.Fil: Pardo, Maria Laura. Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones CientÃficas y Técnicas. Action Research: Can It Be a Means for Helping Teacher Candidates Learn about Student Diversity?
This paper describes the use of action research in a teacher education course as a way to support novice teachers in meeting the learning needs of a diverse student population. Our experiences as instructors in teacher education courses led us to look for strategies that could support novices’ attempts to meet students’ diverse needs because students viewed this as one of their greatest challenges as beginning teachers. We explore action research as one such strategy to respond to this learning need. We examine this practice for supporting novice teachers and consider three cases of student learning as examples. Our findings suggest that teacher candidates were able to use their action research projects to meet students’ learning needs but were less able to articulate their attempts to do so in an aware manner. However, they did understand the purpose of action research to help them reflect on and improve their practices as teachers. Suggestions are made to help students better understand this process as a result of these findings
The football emergence goes back to several centuries ago, during the Middle

them participant in all of those scopes which are allowed to, because they know
that fans are essential for this sport and they are who support them when they
need it more.
In Levante UD, we find an example of a humble team with more than a hundred
years of history which has known how to overtake adversities and to selfovertake,
keeping their fans always next to them.
Levante UD makes its fans participant in every scope of the institution, both
sportive and in the internal aspects of the club, because they are always calling

Optimized Adaptive Streaming Representations based on System Dynamics
Adaptive streaming addresses the increasing and heterogenous demand of
multimedia content over the Internet by offering several encoded versions for
each video sequence. Each version (or representation) has a different
resolution and bit rate, aimed at a specific set of users, like TV or mobile
phone clients. While most existing works on adaptive streaming deal with
effective playout-control strategies at the client side, we take in this paper
a providers' perspective and propose solutions to improve user satisfaction by
optimizing the encoding rates of the video sequences. We formulate an integer
linear program that maximizes users' average satisfaction, taking into account
the network dynamics, the video content information, and the user population
characteristics. The solution of the optimization is a set of encoding
parameters that permit to create different streams to robustly satisfy users'
requests over time. We simulate multiple adaptive streaming sessions
characterized by realistic network connections models, where the proposed
solution outperforms commonly used vendor recommendations, in terms of user
satisfaction but also in terms of fairness and outage probability. The
simulation results further show that video content information as well as
network constraints and users' statistics play a crucial role in selecting
proper encoding parameters to provide fairness a mong users and to reduce
network resource usage. We finally propose a few practical guidelines that can
be used to choose the encoding parameters based on the user base
characteristics, the network capacity and the type of video content
Perception and Decision Making: A Multi-Technique Analysis of Campaign Posters in the 2019 Bogotá Mayoral Election
Campaign posters are semiotic-discursive resources that form multimodal units of meaning. In political communication, voters’ decision making is affected not only by the verbal message, but also by nonverbal indications or physical features (visual attributes) of the candidates. This study analyzed the relationship between visual communication and citizens’ voting decisions in a political campaign in Colombia. An analysis of campaign posters in the 2019 Bogotá mayoral elections was designed using a multi-technique methodology. First, two eye-tracking experiments were conducted to assess attention patterns. Then, a series of surveys measured emotions in slogans. It was concluded that, in the Colombian scene, visual elements related to candidates’ physical attributes have a small influence over voters’ decision making. This finding contradicts the results of studies carried out in different contexts, namely in Europe and the United States
Pomegranate transplant stress can be ameliorated by rhizophagus intraradices under nursery management
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) establish an obligate mutualistic symbiosis with many plant species, increasing the uptake of phosphorous and other low-mobile nutrients by roots. In addition, AMF improve biotic and abiotic stress tolerance of host plants. Under these conditions, reactive oxygen species (ROS) increase occasional damage to proteins, lipids and DNA. Antioxidative enzymes in plants can play an important role in detoxifying ROS, thereby alleviating oxidative stress. In nursery practices, plants are subjected at least to two transplant conditions before being transplanted outside. It is important to achieve an optimal plant size to withstand environmental or other stresses when plants are transplanted into the field. The transplantation process can be considered a stress because plants have to adapt to new abiotic and biotic (rhizospheric) conditions. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of two Rhizophagus intraradices (N.C. Schenck & G.S. Sm.) C. Walker & A. Schüßler strains, GA5 and GC2, single and co-inoculated under two-transplant soil conditions, sterile and non-sterile, using cuttings of pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) as a model plant. These results showed that the GA5 single strain-inoculated plants improved growth and antioxidative enzyme responses to two transplant stress conditions. In conclusion, early mycorrhizal inoculation generates healthy plants that are more protected against environmental conditions, thereby improving plant transplant stress tolerance.Fil: Bompadre, Maria Josefina.
The study of educational and social time from the perspective of social inclusion and attention to diversity means new challenges for Pedagogy- Social Education, both for the many elements that forming educational practices as by the coexistence of different identities.
