Následuje vývoj společných dluhů a pohledávek v minulých úpravách, kterým autor věnuje velkou pozornost, zejména pro použitelnost této úpravy i v dnešní době. Část obsahu je věnována i procesním otázkám, autor zejména poukazuje na rozsudek Nejvyššího soudu, který jde...In his diploma thesis, the author deals with the institute of joint debts and joint claims. During the course of writing the thesis, the author points out the differences in up to now regulations, but also the conflicting views of literature and offers his opinion on the solution to these problems. In the introductory part, the author outlines the concepts, which he further deals with in the thesis. The development of joint debts and joint claims in the previous regulations follows, to which the author pays great attention, especially for the applicability of these regulations even today. The author also deals with today's regulation of joint debts and joint claims following the outline of the regulation in the Civil Code. The first chapter devoted more deeply to the current regulation is therefore a commitment with indivisible performance. The author points out the issue of solidarity-based and inseparable performance. The logically following chapter is the chapter of divisible performance, in which the author deals mainly with the solution of shares between the party of obligation, which is pluralistic. The most comprehensive part of the work is the fifth chapter, which deals in detail with passive solidarity obligations, including their changes and termination. In this section, the author...Department of Civil LawKatedra občanského právaFaculty of LawPrávnická fakult

How reproducible are methods to measure the dynamic viscoelastic properties of poroelastic media?

    Get PDF
There is a considerable number of research publications on the acoustical properties of porous media with an elastic frame. A simple search through the Web of Science™ (last accessed 21 March 2018) suggests that there are at least 819 publications which deal with the acoustics of poroelastic media. A majority of these researches require accurate knowledge of the elastic properties over a broad frequency range. However, the accuracy of the measurement of the dynamic elastic properties of poroelastic media has been a contentious issue. The novelty of this paper is that it studies the reproducibility of some popular experimental methods which are used routinely to measure the key elastic properties such as the dynamic Young's modulus, loss factor and Poisson ratio of poroelastic media. In this paper, fourteen independent sets of laboratory measurements were performed on specimens of the same porous materials. The results from these measurements suggest that the reproducibility of this type of experimental method is poor. This work can be helpful to suggest improvements which can be developed to harmonize the way the elastic properties of poroelastic media are measured worldwide

Impact of a One-Off Demonstration on the Use of ICT in the Teaching of Andragogy Students on Their Change of Attitude Towards the Use of ICT in Education

    No full text
The research study deals with the issue of attitudes towards the use of ICT in the education of andragogy students. As a method of research, we chose a three-year experiment. The study first surveyed 224 students in andragogical fields – future educators - in order to discover input factors like identifying their relationship to ICT, skills, experience in the field of ICT and frequency of the use of ICT at work. The study further examines four separate variables, representing three dimensions of attitudes (cognitive, conative and emotional) towards the use of ICT in education – the conviction to use ICT in their teaching, the opinion on the impact of the use of ICT on the understanding of curriculum, the opinion on the impact of the use of ICT in teaching and education itself and the tendency to act to recommend the use of ICT in teaching to their colleagues. In the university teaching of students itself, using the didactic method of AIDA on a mathematical problem, the experimental group is the subject of a demonstration of the use of ICT in empirical verification of the results of the task, as opposed to a control group that does not use ICT in teaching. Specifically, the representation of results in MS Excel and the empirical verification of results in a Python-created program are used. The research aims to determine the impact of the demonstration of a one-off use of ICT in teaching on the change of dimensions of attitude towards the use of ICT in education represented by separated variables. Their rate is measured by a 10-point bipolar scale. The results show p value (p<0.05), which provides evidence that a one-off demonstration of the use of ICT in the teaching of andragogy students is a factor that statistically significantly influences these dimensions of attitude towards the use of ICT in education and thus its overall change, regardless of the gender of the students. The three-year research study confirmed these results in an aggregated experimental group of 112 respondents who were compared with the same aggregated control group

This thesis deals with the Google APIs and its use for team collaboration. Google is one of the most famous companies in the world, which runs the Internet's dominant search engine in addition to many other services, that can use today virtually anyone. Each service is offered in addition provides an application programming interface that allows web application developers to integrate and customize these services into their own applications . The goal of the thesis is the gathering of information available on selected Google services and their application interface. Selected API will be further integrated and adapted to their own web application that will serve as a tool for easing team collaboration . Individual Google APIs will have enclosed user manual in the form of tutorial, presenting a clear and simple instructions, how to integrate the selected API into own web application

Retention of Couples in Treatment of Intimate Partner Violence

The treatment of choice for intimate partner violence (IPV) has been gender specific psychoeducational groups for offenders, but these groups have high drop out rates (Babcock & La Taillade, 2000). An alternative therapy available for the treatment of IPV is couple therapy. The current study explored variables predictive of couple retention in a treatment outcome study designed to prevent IPV. Sixty-nine couples seeking therapy for mild-to-moderate levels of physical and psychological abuse in their relationship were included. Couples received one of two treatment protocols to address IPV, as part of the Couples Abuse Prevention Program (CAPP): (1) treatment as usual; and (2) cognitive behavioral therapy. Specific pre-treatment variables examined included relationship satisfaction, communication patterns, psychological and physical aggression, pre-treatment levels of psychopathology, and client and therapist perceptions of the efficacy of treatment. Findings regarding variables discriminating between treatment completers and non-completers, and clinical implications for treatment of IPV were discussed
