    Accurate large-signal equivalent circuit of surface channel diamond FETs based on the Chalmers model

    The paper presents a large-signal nonlinear circuit-oriented model for polycrystalline and single-crystal H-terminated diamond MESFETs implemented within the Agilent ADS design suite. The DC characteristics of such devices suggest that the channel free charge control law may be modeled using the same strategy adopted for III-V HEMTs. For this reason, the well-known nonlinear Chalmers (Angelov) circuit model was chosen as the starting point for the development of the present non-linear diamond MESFET model. Model fitting was performed against DC and multibias small signal measurements, with good agreement. Model validations versus large-signal (power) measurements point out the accuracy of the proposed approach to simulate the behavior of H-terminated diamond MESFETs under large-signal operatio

    Chemical vapour deposition synthetic diamond: materials, technology and applications

    Substantial developments have been achieved in the synthesis of chemical vapour deposition (CVD) diamond in recent years, providing engineers and designers with access to a large range of new diamond materials. CVD diamond has a number of outstanding material properties that can enable exceptional performance in applications as diverse as medical diagnostics, water treatment, radiation detection, high power electronics, consumer audio, magnetometry and novel lasers. Often the material is synthesized in planar form, however non-planar geometries are also possible and enable a number of key applications. This article reviews the material properties and characteristics of single crystal and polycrystalline CVD diamond, and how these can be utilized, focusing particularly on optics, electronics and electrochemistry. It also summarizes how CVD diamond can be tailored for specific applications, based on the ability to synthesize a consistent and engineered high performance product.Comment: 51 pages, 16 figure

    Technology for diamond based electronics

    The superior electrical and thermal properties of diamond predestine this material to become an important semiconductor. In this thesis, diamond field effect transistors and diodes were fabricated and evaluated. The progress in fabrication technology enabled DC, small and large signal measurements on FETs employing a hydrogen-induced p-type channel. Operation of such FETs at microwave frequencies showed high cut-off frequencies and first power measurements on diamond FETs have been performed as well. Regarding the diodes, in order to obtain high blocking voltages and low forward losses in power diodes, a novel diamond merged diode has been developed. In this configuration, a Schottky contact and a pn junction are merged together, resulting in a diode with low forward threshold voltage, low reverse leakage current and high breakdown voltage. These results indicate that diamond may indeed become the ultimate semiconductor material for high performance electronics

    Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tvorbou doplňku pro Microsoft Project, který implementuje výpočet potenciálu kritičnosti a rizikovosti. Na začátku práce jsou nejdříve vysvětleny teoretické základy pro pochopení metody potenciálu kritičnosti a rizikovosti. Druhá část práce se zabývá analýzou, implementací a testováním doplňku. V závěru práce jsou popsány instalace doplňku a uživatelské rozhraní doplňku.This master thesis deals with creation of Microsoft Project add-in, which implements computation of the criticalness and threatening potential. The necessary theoretical knowledge for understanding of the criticalness and threatening potential is explained at the beginning of this thesis. Second part of the thesis deals with analysis, implementation and testing of the add-in. Installation process and user interface of the add-in are described at the end of the thesis

    Import 03/08/2012Cieľom práce bolo preskúmať a overiť správnosť metód vyhodnocovania významnosti efektov faktorov a ich interakcií v plánovaní experimentov. V priebehu posledných desaťročí vznikali rôzne prístupy k plánovaniu experimentov. Podstata a úmysel zostali však nezmenené, vybrať a ďalej sa zaoberať len faktormi, ktoré majú významný vplyv na odozvu procesu. V teoretickej časti sú jednotlivé prístupy rozpracované a následne na rôznych typoch návrhov experimentov v praktickej časti overené s primárnym cieľom porovnať výsledky vyhodnocovania významnosti efektov. Výber vhodnosti metódy pre návrhy experimentov je zohľadnení na základe porovnania rozdielov vyhodnotenia oproti ostatným metódam, náročnosti a zdĺhavosti metódy a podmienkam ktoré musia byť splnené, aby mohla byť daná metóda použitá.The main purpose of this work was to examine and to verify correctness of the methods of evaluating the significance of contrasts in Design of Experiments. During the last decades, many different attitudes to design of experiments have been made. But the purpose has remained unchagned – to choose and examine only those factors, that have a significant effect on response of the process. In the theoretical part are individual attitutes elaborated followed by verifying for different design of experiments in the practical part with comparing the results the evaluating signicication of contrasts as the primary goal.     Ústrednou témou diplomovej práce je problematika spoločenskej zodpovednosti firiem. Pozornosť je venovaná historickému aj súčasnému pohľadu. Práca sa zaoberá jednotlivými princípmi a zobrazuje súčasný stav skúmaného problému. Prináša teoretické vymedzenie pojmu spoločensky zodpovedné podnikanie, zaoberá jeho stavom v Európskej únii a predkladá dôvody na spoločenskú zodpovednosť firiem, jej motivačnými faktormi, a (CSR) trendmi. Venuje pozornosť jednotlivým oblastiam pre ziskový a neziskový sektor a približuje problematiku spolupráce týchto sektorov. Poskytuje a venuje pozornosť analýze, merateľným indexom, reportovaniu spoločensky zodpovedného podnikania. Ďalej ponúka náhľad reálneho stavu spoločensky zodpovedného podnikania a taktiež jeho vnímaniu obyvateľmi. Venuje pozornosť jednotlivým aktérom, ktorí zavádzajú princípy spoločenskej zodpovednosti do firemnej praxe.
