The system of electric brain activity acquisition from EEG equipment for Linux OS

The idea of electric brain activity acquisition for LINUX OS is presented. So far the only available software has been that for MS-Windows. The general concept of the modular data acquisition system as independent of its particular parts as possible and based on the LINUX pipe system will be discussed to some extent. Adapting the hardware to open source technology will allow us to design new methods of brain electrical dynamic analysis.

Adaptive Robust Control of Biomass Fuel Co-Combustion Process

The share of biomass in energy production is constantly growing. This is caused by environmental and industry standards and EU guidelines. Biomass is used in the process of co-firing in large power plants and industrial installations. In the existing power stations, biomass is milled and burned simultaneously with coal. However, low-emission combustion techniques, including biomass co-combustion, have some negative side effects that can be split into two categories. The direct effects influence the process control stability, whereas the indirect ones on combustion installations via increased corrosion or boiler slagging. The effects can be minimised using additional information about the process. The proper combustion diagnosis as well as an appropriate, robust control system ought to be applied. The chapter is devoted to the analysis of modern, robust control techniques for complex power engineering applications

Synchronous SSVEP Data Acquisition System

Steady State Visually Evoked Potentials have been known for several decades and theyappear in the primary visual cortex of brain as a result of light stimulation of the sense of sight. Inthis article a simple method for electroencephalographic data acquisition is presented. The system isbased on the DSM-51 unit connected to goggles with blinking diodes and Mindset-1000 EEG amplifierwith 16 channels. V této práci jsou popsány dostupné JS komponenty, umožnující integraci prezentací do stránek. The analysis of WIG20 stock index in R: a case study

In this short note we would like to show the basic methods of analyzing time series. This methods leads us to the different models of time series (decomposition, ARIMA, Fourier techniques, exponentially smoothing and GARCH). The correctness of the models obtained may be verified by behavior of residuals (small variance, stationary, uncorrelated, normally distributes) or by verifying the predictions. This second method not will be discussed here. We omit the lot of data mining methods, which may be applied to the stock index time series, such as neural networks and genetic algorithms.У представленій роботі коротко наведені методи аналізу часових рядів. Ці методи дозволяють розробити різноманітні моделі часових рядів (розкладання, ARIMA, метод Фур’є, експонентне згладжування та GARCH). Точність отриманих моделей можна перевірити за допомогою нев’язок (невеликі відхилення, стаціонарні, корелювання та некорелювання) або шляхом верифікації прогнозів (це не представлене у даному дописі). Також не розглядаються багато методів інтелектуального аналізу даних, які можуть бути застосовані до фондового індексу часових рядів, наприклад, нейронні мережі та генетичні алгоритми.В данной работе коротко представлены методы анализа временных рядов. Эти методы позволяют разработать различные модели временных рядов (разложение, ARIMA, метод Фурье, сглаживание по экспоненте и GARCH). Точность полученных моделей можно проверить с помощью невязок (небольшие отклонения, стационарные, коррелированные и некоррелированные) или путем верификации прогнозов (что не будет здесь представлено). Мы опускаем также множество методов интеллектуального анализа данных, которые могут быть применены к фондовому индексу временных рядов, такие как нейронные сети и генетические алгоритмы

Biomass co-combustion process assessment using series of flame images

The article presents the way of assessment of biomass coal mixture combustion using information in a form of flame area changes determined for image sequences. The images were captured by a dedicated visual system equipped with CMOS camera and a borescope that enabled observing flame zone located near burner at 45° to flame axis. Several laboratory combustion experiments were carried out when thermal power and excess air coefficient were set independently for fuel mixtures with biomass content of 10% and 20%.У статті представлений метод оцінювання спалювання суміші біомаси та вугілля при використанні площ полум’я, які визначені в серіях зображень. Зображення були зареєстровані спеціальної відео- системою, що складається з КМОП камери і бароскопа. Тому можна було спостерігати зону полум’я безпосередньо близько пальники під кутом 45 градусів до її осі. Проведено серію експериментів, в яких незалежно змінювалися теплова потужність установки і коефіцієнт надлишку повітря для сумішей з вмістом 10% і 20% біомаси.В статье представлен метод оценивания сжигания смеси биомассы и угля при использовании площадей пламени, которые определенные в сериях изображений. Изображения были зарегистрированы специальной видео-системой, состоящей из КМОП камеры и бароскопа. Поэтому можно было наблюдать зону пламени непосредственно около горелки под углом 45 градусов к её оси. Проведено серию экспериментов, в которых независимо изменялись тепловая мощность установки и коэффициент избытка воздуха для смесей с содержанием 10% и 20% биомассы

PORÓWNANIE WYBRANYCH METOD WYZNACZANIA OBSZARU PŁOMIENIA W WIZYJNYM SYSTEMIE DIAGNOSTYCZNYM

This paper presents comparison edge detection method of combustion pulverized coal. Compared method are: Canny edge detection operator, level set method and Chan-Vese active contour method. Experimental results show that edges extracted with method based on Chan-Vese active contour model gives good result.W pracy przedstawiono porównanie wybranych metod wykrywania krawędzi dla obrazów spalania pyłu węglowego. Porównano metodę gradientową Canny’ego z metodą zbiorów poziomicowych oraz metodą opartą o model konturu aktywnego Chan-Vese. Wyniki badań pokazują, że metoda korzystająca z modelu Chan-Vese dobrze odwzorowała brzeg obszaru
