The article presents the analysis of social and psychological component indicators of academic employees in the structure of higher education institution (university) image. As a part of comprehensive study we determined the internal structure of a higher education institution image according the results of factor and correlation analysis which includes five factors: professional, social-psychological, motivational, emotional-volitional and individual-psychological. This approach gave a possibility to characterize the peculiarities of each factor, published in scientific articles, influence on the image of the university. Some of the factors have been stydied previously and we could find scientific publications on these issues. At the same time the results of the social and psychological component research have not been published yet but have a significant scientific interest since they characterize a sample of 285 representatives of the rectorate, dean's offices, heads of departments and academic staff of the university. We found out that each category of respondents has its own peculiarities regarding the level of satisfaction with quality of life, subjective satisfaction or not satisfaction with social or personal recognition, material and social security, level of personal authority. We were able to find the dominant type of university employees’ attitude towards people in interaction: authoritarianism, egoism, aggression, suspicion, subordination, dependence, friendliness and altruism. The results of this study can be used for individual diagnosis and appropriate correction of each category of the respondents to have a positive impact on the image of the university

The article focuses on the issue of motivational preconditions of leadership development in the process of professional training. The article presents theoretical and empirical results of the study of professional motives formation peculiarities that influence optimization of students’ leadership qualities in the conditions of an educational process and discusses innovative motivational and leadership approaches to become a professional. The authors made emphasis on the fact that the activity is multimotivated and encouraged by a group of conscious and unconscious motives. In the empirical study, the authors found that leadership is determined by certain motivational prerequisites, which, in particular, combine the need for success, recognition, respect, and power. Motivation for success is formed on their basis, in the process of professional training. Future specialists are optimized for leadership potential as evidenced by their level of communicational and organizational skills development. It was substantiated that educational training projects for students should be included in the educational process. Also, the stages of professional motivation formation were determined

Comparative characteristics of stress-resistant and non-stress-resistant individual profiles

The article presents typical profiles of stress-resistant and non-stress-resistant individuals by certain components. Summarizing the factor analysis substantive elements, we identified four leading components of the internal structure of indicators of personality stress relationships by the informative weight of variables: personal; social; typological, and behavioral. We found out that stress-resistant individuals are characterized by a high level of balance, confidence and activity, emotional and volitional self-control, low levels of stress, personal and situational anxiety, high levels of motivation, general and professional internality, readiness for activity, high level of functional system. Stress-resistant individuals are characterized by a high level of assertiveness, activity, prosociality, the search for social contacts and social support. At the same time, the typical profile of non-stressful individuals is characterized by inverse patterns - a significantly lower level of direct and indirect indicators of stress resistance, among the behavioral strategies for overcoming stress typical in the profile were manipulative actions, avoidance actions, aggressive actions

Structural and functional characterisation of cyclin dependent kinase 1 containing complexes

PhD ThesisCDK1 belongs to the family of serine/threonine kinases that require cyclin binding and phosphorylation for activation. CDK1 is partnered by cyclin A or cyclin B and is the only essential CDK that is required to drive the eukaryotic cell cycle. Because of their roles in driving cell growth and division, the activities of some members of the CDK family are upregulated in different cancer types making them attractive targets for therapy. The structure of monomeric CDK1 bound to CKS1 and in a complex with cyclin B are presented. These structures confirm the conserved inactive monomeric CDK fold and show how it can be remodelled by cyclin binding. These structures have revealed important insights for our understanding of CDK function and regulation as well as for the development of new more potent and specific drugs. A range of biophysical and biochemical techniques have been used to confirm and develop hypotheses as to the regulation and activity of CDK1 proposed by the structures. The melting temperature of CDK1 was estimated and compared to that of the cyclin B bound complex, CDK2 and CDK2-cyclin A to determine if the smaller interface between CDK1 and cyclin B may have implications for protein stability. The CDK1–cyclin B structures also reveal potential novel protein interaction sites that might regulate CDK1 activity. These findings inspired further investigations to explore binding sites by structural biology methods. CDK1 can phosphorylate the largest number of substrates in comparison to other CDKs. This relaxed substrate specificity was explored with reference to the insights provided by the CDK1-cyclin B-CKS2 structure. The similarities in sequence and secondary structure exhibited by the CDK family pose challenges for inhibitor design. The binding modes of a diverse set of inhibitors were characterized by a range of biophysical methods and their structures were determined by X-ray crystallography. The results of these experiments highlight the importance of conformational plasticity of the whole molecule in shaping the ATP binding site

Introduction. An employer brand includes everything practiced to position an organization as a preferred employer. Nowadays, business companies are having more difficulty procuring qualified employees who are vital for company success under keenly competitive business conditions. To cope with this difficulty, companies carry out different practices to attract and retain talent, and the employer brand concept has become one of the tools that business companies use to attract and retain talent. Aim and tasks. The aim of the study is to investigate, determine and describe how business companies are efficacious in their employer brand management practices to meet the expectations of current and potential employees. It is also aimed to determine which activities are carried out by the business companies for employer branding. In this context, a literature review is carried out within the scope of employer branding to brief the concepts of organizational attractiveness and to ensure organizational commitment. Results. Within the scope of the research, the semi-structured in-depth interviews with the human resources professionals of seven large-scale, domestic, and foreign companies operating in the Izmir, Istanbul, and Manisa provinces were examined. The findings of the interviews are evaluated by the qualitative analysis method according to the research methodology. The result of the research conducted and the references to the definition of the employer brand were compiled under five nodes. These are the work environment, economic benefits, work-life balance, career development opportunities, and social activities. On the other hand, the economic benefits node was compiled under two different sub-nodes, namely wages and fringe benefits. The characteristics and contributions of the employer branding were investigated, and the effects of the employer brand on retention within the scope of talent management were investigated. Conclusions. It has been observed that the organizations' awareness level of the employer brand concept is high, and it has been discovered that they have many practices for both potential candidates and current employees. These practices have revealed that they differentiate themselves from their competitors in terms of business characteristics, working environment, and global opportunities. All these efforts provide many benefits such as increases in the number of applications, increases in attractive employer rankings, increases in employee motivation, and decreases in employee turnover rates
