An Assessment of House Loans Cointegration with Macro Variables in Selected Euro Zone Countries

This paper performs an empirical study on house loans, interest rates, unemployment, and house rent prices relationship in Germany, France, Spain and Italy from the year 2003 to 2018. We look for the cointegration and causality relationship between the house loans and macro variables with the help of the Vector error correction model (VECM) and Granger causality methods. We investigate whether variables with monthly data explain better the relationship and causal effects between the variables. We find a long term cointegrating relationship between the real house loans and interest rates, unemployment and house rent prices for France, Spain, and Italy, but not for Germany. On average the equilibrium in house loan development is reached from 4 to 8 years, meaning that long term equilibrium exists, but the variables reach it in a rather long time period. The ECB deposit facility rate included as an exogenous variable in four countries gained no significant power in explaining the short term changes of house loans in any of the country. We reveal a complex interaction between the bank’s credits and unemployment, interest rates, house rental prices in the paper.&nbsp

Akademinės grupės studentų kūrybiškumo klausimu

The article emphasizes that creativity is important for highly qualified representatives of all professions, and especially – teachers. Creativity was lacking in the Soviet school. Therefore, the education of future teachers needs to foster their independence, non-conformity, imagination, the ability to develop creative solutions to educational problems. The survey of Vilnius University students who had a special course to develop creativity in Soviet times revealed that this course was not as effective as expected. Low student activity during the course had various causes: unfavourable study atmosphere, negative attitude towards the profession of the teacher, atrophy of some student features, such as attention, volition, direction, etc., and teaching quality shortcomings of the course. A 1991 survey of the students of the Department of Chemistry, future teachers, found that only few of them have a high degree of creativity, and academic formation of creativity factor is not significant, but creativity is correlated with the popularity of the student within group.Straipsnyje pabrėžiama, kad kūrybiškumas svarbus visų profesijų aukštos kvalifikacijos atstovams, o ypač – pedagogams. Sovietinėje mokykloje kūrybiškumo buvo stokojama. Todėl rengiant būsimus mokytojus būtina ugdyti jų savarankiškumą, nekonformiškumą, vaizduotę, gebėjimą kūrybiškai spręsti pedagogines problemas. Atlikus Vilniaus universiteto studentų, kurie dar sovietmečiu turėjo specialų kursą kūrybiškumui ugdyti, paaiškėjo, kad šis kursas nebuvo toks veiksmingas kaip tikėtasi. Mažo studentų aktyvumo kurso metu priežastys įvairios: nepalanki studijų atmosfera, neigiama nuostata į pedagogo profesiją, studentų kai kurių bruožų, pvz., valingumo, kryptingumo ir kt., atrofacija, kurso dėstymo kokybės trūkumai. 1991 m. tiriant Chemijos fakulteto studentų, būsimų mokytojų, kūrybiškumą nustatyta, kad tik nedaugelis jų turi ryškų kūrybiškumo bruožą, o akademinės grupės veiksnys kūrybiškumo formavimuisi nėra ženklus, tačiau kūrybiškumas koreliuoja su studento populiarumu grupėje

Dvasingumas ir pedagogika

Education has been despiritualized during the Soviet years, so following the restoration of the independent Lithuania, first of all spirituality is actualised, which should essentially change the concept of pedagogy and its methodology. Unfolding the phenomenon of spirituality it should be noted that the greatest influence on it comes from morality and moral upbringing. The concepts of “creativity”, “creation” is also important for spirituality. Nationality is no less important in the present situation. It is precisely these qualities that a pupil and a teacher must have. Professional directedness is also very significant for educator spirituality: noble purpose in life, the need for high culture, humanist interests, correct orientation with regard to morality and values, robust worldview. Organizational and communication skills are also not alien to educator’s spirituality. On the other hand, during the Soviet years spirituality was neglected and pedagogy often was a theory of totalitarian partocratic education. Hence the pressure to answer a number of questions today: Are teachers themselves are spiritual enough to be able to educate their students’ spirituality?; Is it possible to develop spirituality without the help of religion?; What should be the content of education?Ugdymas sovietiniais metais buvo nudvasintas, todėl atkūrus nepriklausomą Lietuvą, pirmiausiai aktualizuojamas dvasingumas, kuris iš esmės turėtų keisti pedagogikos mokslo sampratą ir jo metodologiją. Išskleidžiant dvasingumo fenomeną pažymėtina, kad didžiausios įtakos jam turi dorovė ir dorovinis auklėjimas. Dvasingumui taip pat yra svarbios sąvokos „kūrybiškumas“, „kūryba“. Esamoje situacijoje ne ką mažiau svarbu ir tautiškumas. Būtent šiomis savybėmis turi pasižymėti ir mokinys, ir mokytojas. Pedagogo dvasingumui taip pat itin reikšmingas yra profesinis kryptingumas: kilnus gyvenimo tikslas, aukštos kultūros poreikis, humaniški interesai, teisinga dorovinė ir vertybinė orientacija, tvirta pasaulėžiūra. Pedagogo dvasingumui nesvetimi ir organizaciniai bei komunikaciniai mokėjimai. Kita vertus, sovietiniais metais dvasingumui dėmesio bemaž neskirta, o dažnai pedagogika buvo totalitarinio partokratinio ugdymo teorija ir pagrindas, tad šiandien tenka atsakyti į daugelį klausimų: Ar mokytojai yra patys pakankamai dvasingi, kad galėtų ugdyti savo mokinių dvasingumą?; Ar įmanoma ugdyti dvasingumą be religijos pagalbos?; Koks turėtų būti ugdymo turinys? ir t.t

This essay examines the role of architecture fiction and ecstatic realism as strategies for architects working within a protracted period of economic collapse. It reviews the history of the concept of architecture fiction and explores Werner Herzog’s idea of ecstatic realism as a means of understanding what the possibilities are for the interaction of art and architecture. Through a series of examples, I explore the development of innovative ways of interpreting the world. Santrauka Straipsnyje nagrinėjama architektūros fikcija ir ekstatinis realizmas. Some Problems of Contemporary Paremiography and Paremiology – The data bank of Estonian proverbs (Eesti vanasõnad, Tartu, 1980–1986) is the most up-to-date and typologically the most consistent publication of the proverb collection of one nation. In addition to similar publications of other nations, it suggests new approaches to the research of proverbs in respect to their content, poetics and comparative possibilities. In the latter half of the twentieth century the semiotic studies, focused on the analysis of the semantic, and other structural levels of the proverbs were far more intensive and at the same time they were ignored as a subject of folklore. The disregard of proverbs as a source for the investigation of the spiritual culture both of a separate nation and of the entire humanity should be treated as one of the most serious shortcomings of modern paremiology
