Clustering is a process of dividing the objects into subgroups so that the same set of data is similar, but the data of different clusters is different. The basis of the fuzzy clustering algorithms is the C- Means families and the strongest algorithm is the Fuzzy C-means (FCM) algorithm. In this study; FCM, Possibilistic Fuzzy C-means (PFCM), Fuzzy Possibilistic C-means (FPCM) and Possibilistic C- means (PCM) algorithms are used to classify the several real data sets which are E.coli, wine and seed data sets into different clusters by MATLAB program. Also, the results of PFCM, FPCM, PCM and FCM algorithms are compared according to the classification accuracy, root mean squared error (RMSE) and mean absolute error (MAE). The results show that the PFCM and FPCM algorithms have better performance than FCM and PCM according to criteria for comparing the performances.Kümeleme, nesneleri özelliklerine göre kümelere bölme işlemidir, böylece aynı veri kümesi benzerdir, farklı kümelerin verileri farklıdır.

Location obfuscation and distance-based attacks on private trajectories: an experimental evaluation on real trajectory data sets

With the wide availability of GPS-enabled mobile devices, spatio-temporal data is being collected and stored for providing location-based services or for data analytics. Location-based advertisement, market research, and data mining are just some of the motivations for collecting spatio-temporal data. However, location data is also very sensitive since it may reveal information about the data subject such as his/her political views, religion, state of health, and various personal preferences, which is considered private information. One of the approaches to protect sensitive location data is obfuscation. In this thesis, we have implemented two location obfuscation techniques, performed an analytical and experimental study to investigate how e ective they are on a state of the art attack algorithm designed for spatio-temporal data. In the attack scenario, given a set of known trajectories, and a distance matrix composed of known pairwise distances between trajectories, adversary tries to approximate the target trajectory and then extract information about absence or presence of the trajectory in a given area. We used obfuscation techniques to hide information around predefined sensitive places such as hospitals, medical centers. We then used obfuscated data on the attack. Experimental results show that the applied obfuscation methods do not help protecting the privacy of users in sensitive areas in case of spatio-temporal trajectories that follow a regular pattern. We observed that the attack method works successfully because the obfuscation techniques do not scatter the sensitive points far enough from sensitive places and the linearity of the trajectory is preserved

Eski Türk edebiyatı ifadesinde, birbiri ile zıt gibi görünen bu tanımlardan hangisinin kastedildiğinde bilmek büyük önem arz etmektedir

Fuzzy multicriteria evaluation of health research investments

    Get PDF
Health research and investments are expensive, and its explicit social, health and economic impacts are hard to define. There are many challenges and assumptions in defining specific returns on investment in health research. In the literature, there is no common approach to evaluate health research impacts. Single criterion methods are generally used with validated indicators to track overall outcomes or outcomes in a specific health research area. These methods have the ability of considering only one criterion at a time, which is usually the cost of the investment. A multicriteria method is proposed for taking care of many conflicting criteria of health research investments. The difficulty of measuring intangible criteria is captured by the fuzzy set theory. Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is used for the selection among four possible health research investment alternatives. A sensitivity analysis is made for the changes in the values of various parameters. First published online: 05 Feb 201

Rectal duplications accompanying rectovestibular fistula: Report of two cases

    Get PDF
Rectal duplication (RD) cysts are rare congenital anomalies that can be diagnosed with the presence of another opening in the perineum. They seldom accompany anorectal malformations (ARM). Two cases of RD accompanying ARM at opposite ends of the phenotypic spectrum, are described. A 3-month-old baby and a 2-year-old girl with ARM were scheduled for posterior sagittal anorectoplasty. The infant had an orifice at the anal dimple and the other had an orifice at the vestibulum posterior to the rectovestibular fistula. The infant presented with no other anomalies whereas the older one presented with an unusual coexistence of caudal duplication and caudal regression syndromes. Perioperatively both orifices were found to be related to retrorectal cysts, and were excised. Clinicians should always be alert when dealing with complex malformations. Because these malformations have variable anatomical and clinical presentations, they can represent a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge
