Spectral density of generalized Wishart matrices and free multiplicative convolution
We investigate the level density for several ensembles of positive random
matrices of a Wishart--like structure, , where stands for a
nonhermitian random matrix. In particular, making use of the Cauchy transform,
we study free multiplicative powers of the Marchenko-Pastur (MP) distribution,
, which for an integer yield Fuss-Catalan
distributions corresponding to a product of independent square random
matrices, . New formulae for the level densities are derived
for and . Moreover, the level density corresponding to the
generalized Bures distribution, given by the free convolution of arcsine and MP
distributions is obtained. We also explain the reason of such a curious
convolution. The technique proposed here allows for the derivation of the level

Entropic trade-off relations for quantum operations
Spectral properties of an arbitrary matrix can be characterized by the
entropy of its rescaled singular values. Any quantum operation can be described
by the associated dynamical matrix or by the corresponding superoperator. The
entropy of the dynamical matrix describes the degree of decoherence introduced
by the map, while the entropy of the superoperator characterizes the a priori
knowledge of the receiver of the outcome of a quantum channel Phi. We prove
that for any map acting on a N--dimensional quantum system the sum of both
entropies is not smaller than ln N. For any bistochastic map this lower bound
reads 2 ln N. We investigate also the corresponding R\'enyi entropies,
providing an upper bound for their sum and analyze entanglement of the

On the structure of the body of states with positive partial transpose
We show that the convex set of separable mixed states of the 2 x 2 system is
a body of constant height. This fact is used to prove that the probability to
find a random state to be separable equals 2 times the probability to find a
random boundary state to be separable, provided the random states are generated
uniformly with respect to the Hilbert-Schmidt (Euclidean) distance. An
analogous property holds for the set of positive-partial-transpose states for

Stationary states for underdamped anharmonic oscillators driven by Cauchy noise
Using methods of stochastic dynamics, we have studied stationary states in
the underdamped anharmonic stochastic oscillators driven by Cauchy noise. Shape
of stationary states depend both on the potential type and the damping. If the
damping is strong enough, for potential wells which in the overdamped regime
produce multimodal stationary states, stationary states in the underdamped
regime can be multimodal with the same number of modes like in the overdamped
regime. For the parabolic potential, the stationary density is always unimodal
and it is given by the two dimensional -stable density. For the mixture
of quartic and parabolic single-well potentials the stationary density can be
bimodal. Nevertheless, the parabolic addition, which is strong enough, can
destroy bimodlity of the stationary state.Comment: 9 page
Chiral expansions of the pi0 lifetime
The corrections induced by light quark masses to the current algebra result
for the lifetime are reexamined. We consider NNLO corrections and we
compute all the one-loop and the two-loop diagrams which contribute to the
decay amplitude at NNLO in the two-flavour chiral expansion. We show that the
result is renormalizable, as Weinberg consistency conditions are satisfied. We
find that chiral logarithms are present at this order unlike the case at NLO.
The result could be used in conjunction with lattice QCD simulations, the
feasibility of which was recently demonstrated. We discuss the matching between
the two-flavour and the three-flavour chiral expansions in the anomalous sector
at order one-loop and derive the relations between the coupling constants. A
modified chiral counting is proposed, in which counts as . We have
updated the various inputs needed and used this to make a phenomenological

Social Work and Follow Up to Graduates at the Universidad Tecnica De Manabi
The article presents an analysis of social work in the areas of health, education and social protection, exposing the role that should characterize social work professionals in the areas analyzed. It is characterized by the analysis of data related to the province of Manabí and especially to the city of Portoviejo. Some results related to the follow-up activities for graduates at the Universidad Tecnica de Manabí are presented, based on documentation investigated by the Monitoring Committee for Graduates and Labor Insertion of the career of Social Work of the university, in relation to the jobs That occupy the professionals and their intervention in the labor field. A survey was applied to 161 social workers who were graduated in the period 1984-2017, the results obtained demonstrate the significant aspects that allowed the graduates to insert themselves in the work to be done finding as more significant aspects to have the title of the career, personality And pre-professional experience
Breed and gender interact to affect the sale price of beef calves sold through video auctions from 2010 through 2014

Journal of Animal Science, 94, 29-29. doi:10.2527/msasas2016-063The objective of this study was to quantify the effect of the potential interaction of breed and gender on the sale price of beef calves marketed through video auctions while adjusting for all other factors that significantly influenced price. Information on descriptive characteristics of lots of beef calves were obtained from a livestock video auction service. Data were available on 20,007 lots of steer calves and 13,804 lots of heifer calves (2106,181 total steer calves and 1239,645 total heifer calves) that sold in 116 video auctions from 2010 through 2014. All lot characteristics that could be accurately quantified or categorized were used to develop a multiple regression model that evaluated the effects of independent factors on the sale price using a backward selection procedure. A value of P < 0.05 was used to maintain a factor in the final model. Breed description of the calves in the lots was 1 of 19 factors included in the original model and was characterized into 6 groups: English, English crosses (EX), English–Continental crosses (ECX), Black Angus sired out of dams with no Brahman influence (AN), Red Angus sired out of dams with no Brahman influence (AR), and Brahman influenced (BR). Breed and gender of the lot interacted (P < 0.0001) to affect the sale price of calves. Lots of AR and AN steer calves had similar sale prices (P = 0.9540; 378.14 per 100 kg BW, respectively) and sold for significantly higher prices than all other steer breed groups. English cross and ECX steer lots had similar sale prices (P = 0.2588; 374.92 per 100 kg BW, respectively) but were greater (P < 0.05) than BR steer calves (356.02 per 100 kg BW). The AN heifer calves sold for the second highest price at 341.50 per 100 kg BW) and EX heifers (334.64 per 100 kg BW compared with heifers of all other breed descriptions. Breed and gender composition of the lots of beef calves interacted to affect the sale price of calves selling through video auctions. The value of the specific breed composition of beef calves is influenced by gender and may be related to buyers purchasing certain breeds of heifer calves as replacements for the breeding herd
Fabrication andin vitro characterization of three-dimensional organic/inorganic scaffolds by robocasting
International audienceA key issue for the fabrication of scaffolds for tissue engineering is the development of processing techniques flexible enough to produce materials with a wide spectrum of solubility (bioresorption rates) and mechanical properties matching those of calcified tissues. These techniques must also have the capability of generating adequate porosity to further serve as a framework for cell penetration, new bone formation, and subsequent remodeling. In this study, we show how hybrid organic/inorganic scaffolds with controlled microstructures can be built using robotic assisted deposition at room temperature. Polylactide or polycaprolactone scaffolds with pore sizes ranging between 200–500 μm and hydroxyapatite contents up to 70 wt % were fabricated. Compressive tests revealed an anisotropic behavior of the scaffolds, strongly dependent on their chemical composition. The inclusion of an inorganic component increased their stiffness but they were not brittle and could be easily machined even for ceramic contents up to 70 wt %. The mechanical properties of hybrid scaffolds did not degrade significantly after 20 days in simulated body fluid. However, the stiffness of pure polylactide scaffolds increased drastically due to polymer densification. Scaffolds containing bioactive glasses were also printed. After 20 days in simulated body fluid they developed an apatite layer on their surface
Complete Plastome Sequences of Equisetum arvense and Isoetes flaccida: Implications for Phylogeny and Plastid Genome Evolution of Early Land Plant Lineages
Background Despite considerable progress in our understanding of land plant phylogeny, several nodes in the green tree of life remain poorly resolved. Furthermore, the bulk of currently available data come from only a subset of major land plant clades. Here we examine early land plant evolution using complete plastome sequences including two previously unexamined and phylogenetically critical lineages. To better understand the evolution of land plants and their plastomes, we examined aligned nucleotide sequences, indels, gene and nucleotide composition, inversions, and gene order at the boundaries of the inverted repeats. Results We present the plastome sequences of Equisetum arvense, a horsetail, and of Isoetes flaccida, a heterosporous lycophyte. Phylogenetic analysis of aligned nucleotides from 49 plastome genes from 43 taxa supported monophyly for the following clades: embryophytes (land plants), lycophytes, monilophytes (leptosporangiate ferns + Angiopteris evecta + Psilotum nudum + Equisetum arvense), and seed plants. Resolution among the four monilophyte lineages remained moderate, although nucleotide analyses suggested that P. nudum and E. arvense form a clade sister to A. evecta + leptosporangiate ferns. Results from phylogenetic analyses of nucleotides were consistent with the distribution of plastome gene rearrangements and with analysis of sequence gaps resulting from insertions and deletions (indels). We found one new indel and an inversion of a block of genes that unites the monilophytes. Conclusions Monophyly of monilophytes has been disputed on the basis of morphological and fossil evidence. In the context of a broad sampling of land plant data we find several new pieces of evidence for monilophyte monophyly. Results from this study demonstrate resolution among the four monilophytes lineages, albeit with moderate support; we posit a clade consisting of Equisetaceae and Psilotaceae that is sister to the true ferns, including Marattiaceae
