enhance penetration and mechanical properties while also minimizing the undesired white veil on the surface
which significantly alters the surface appearance. In this light, the application of a cellulose poultice soaked in
distilled water over the treated surface with nanolime tries to prevent the formation of white hazes and to favour
nanolime carbonation and penetration in the pore structure. However, the real influence of this practice on the
consolidation effectiveness has never been studied yet and is not yet well understood. In order to provide more
insights about its most suitable application method, in this study, we investigated the effectiveness of a wet
cellulose poultice for two different nanolime consolidation treatments on a weathered limestone. Nanolime has
been synthetized by anion exchange processes and dispersed in two mediums: i) water and ii) 50% v/v of water
and alcohol. The influence of the poultice on the penetration and aesthetic properties has been studied by drilling
resistance measurement, ultrasounds test, stereomicroscopy, measurements of roughness and static contact
angle, spectrophotometry and scanning electron microscopy (superficial and cross sectioned samples). Additionally,
consolidation effectiveness has been evaluated through the changes in apparent density, open porosity,
porosity network in the outer 5 mm of the surface by mercury intrusion porosimetry and surface cohesion by the
peeling test. Results show that, contrary to what is usually assumed, samples where a wet cellulose poultice was
applied after the consolidant reached the lowest penetration levels and retained lower dry matter in comparison
to their counterparts without poultice. A consolidation treatment with nanolime is more complex that it is
generally considered, and the application of poultices is not always enhancing consolidation level; the most
suitable application procedure must be chosen with regards to the nanolime and substrate specific
characteristics.Ministry of Science and Innovation, Government of Spain through grant number RYC2020- 028902-I.European Commission on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA-IF) from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 on research and innovation, grant agreement N. 893762 (NANOMORT)Funding for open access charge was provided by Universidade de Vigo/CISU
El Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry, USALI, no es solo una
Operating y Room Statistics and Occupancy.Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry, USALI, is not alone a tool for
the accounting of hotel establishments, But also it allows the evaluation and
management of states pension. The purpose of the USALI is the elaboration and
presentation of a few accounting forms of form standardized for a hotel business, which
are characterized by his simplicity and by the possibility of comparison to the being a
standard model. The study carried out tries to compare differences between the ratios
proposed on the part of the last two editions, being analyzed for it, each of the groups of
ratios commenting on the significant differences for each of them. Seeing this way,
since the new version proceeds to eliminate those ratios that suppose a hobble or
increasing those that need major deepening, emphasizing these changes in the ratios of
Profitability, Operating and Room Statistics and Occupancy
Tsunami hazard at the Western Mediterranean Spanish coast from seismic sources
Spain represents an important part of the tourism
sector in theWestern Mediterranean, which has been affected
in the past by tsunamis. Although the tsunami risk at the
Spanish coasts is not the highest of the Mediterranean, the
necessity of tsunami risk mitigation measures should not be
neglected. In the Mediterranean area, Spain is exposed to
two different tectonic environments with contrasting characteristics.
On one hand, the Alboran Basin characterised
by transcurrent and transpressive tectonics and, on the other
hand, the North Algerian fold and thrust belt, characterised
by compressive tectonics. A set of 22 seismic tsunamigenic
sources has been used to estimate the tsunami threat over the
Spanish Mediterranean coast of the Iberian peninsula and
the Balearic Islands. Maximum wave elevation maps and
tsunami travel times have been computed by means of numerical
modelling and we have obtained estimations of threat
levels for each source over the Spanish coast. The sources on
the Western edge of North Algeria are the most dangerous,
due to their threat to the South-Eastern coast of the Iberian
Peninsula and to theWestern Balearic Islands. In general, the
Northern Algerian sources pose a greater risk to the Spanish
coast than the Alboran Sea sources, which only threaten
the peninsular coast. In the Iberian Peninsula, the Spanish
provinces of Almeria and Murcia are the most exposed, while
all the Balearic Islands can be affected by the North Algerian
sources with probable severe damage, specially the islands of
Ibiza and Minorca. The results obtained in this work are useful
to plan future regional and local warning systems, as well
as to set the priority areas to conduct research on detailed
tsunami risk

Background data in the context of Pinus Sylvestris, L. Glued laminated timber manufacturing in Spain
The construction sector is achieving its goal of decarbonization. Bioproducts are known to reduce the environmental footprint of the building process, but it is necessary that we determine their exact environmental value. However, assessing the environmental impact relating to buildings is challenging due to a lack of data. The objective of this study was to generate background datasets contextualized to Pinus sylvestrys, L. glulam manufacturing in Spain and apply those datasets to a cradle-to-gate life cycle assessment (LCA) to evaluate both embodied energy (EE) and carbon (EC), as well as biogenic carbon and emissions to air. The corresponding raw materials and energy flows required to apply the LCA methodology were gathered and processed from information from the Spanish forest and wood industry. The resulting background datasets include 27 vehicles and machines, which allowed the quantification of four impact category indicators: renewable primary energy (resources), non-renewable primary energy (resources), use of renewable secondary fuels and global warming potential. Biogenic carbon was also calculated. Based on those five values, the embodied energy and carbon of Pinus sylvestris, L. glulam were quantified: EE = 1401 MJ/UD and EC = −724 kgCO2-eq/UD. The generation of background datasets and environmental information is innovative and of great interest, and it is a powerful tool for prescribers and technicians
