Sujeitos que lembram: história oral e histórias de vida

 Desde 1994 estamos desenvolvendo diversos projetos no Núcleo de Pesquisas sobre Memória e Educação - Clio, no Centro de Educação da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Os resultados obtidos estão diretamente ligados ao uso da história oral e das histórias de vida. O objetivo deste texto é o de contemplar a possível relação entre o rememorar, oportunizado pelas práticas da história oral e das histórias de vida, e a constituição das individualidades envolvidas nessas práticas, entendida como um processo de humanização necessário devido à alienação imposta pela modernidade e pelo contexto da respectiva crise. Para apresentar o tema proposto usaremos três idéias básicas, duas conclusões da história e uma conclusão (embora genérica!) de nossa prática de pesquisa com história oral e com histórias de vida. Primeiro: os seres humanos, no processo de criação da cultura, produzem-se a si próprios. O mesmo processo de criação da cultura foi responsável pela diferenciação dos seres humanos dos demais seres da criação. O conceito de Ser Humano engloba o conceito de Cultura, o que o distingue das primeiras espécies governadas exclusivamente por leis biológicas. Nessa ótica, o conceito de cultura está impregnado de sentido do humano. Toda a produção da cultura pelo ser humano é, ao mesmo tempo, a produção do ser humano pela cultura. Segundo: as atividades alienadas dos seres humanos produzem a cultura alienada. Por sua vez, a existência de uma cultura alienada produz seres humanos alienados e desumanizados. Terceiro: pela rememoração proporcionada, às pessoas envolvidas nas práticas de história oral e de histórias de vida, o passado é reconstituído como fragmentos de um mosaico composto de significados do próprio sujeito que rememora e daqueles que lhe são externamente atribuídos.Palavras-chave: memória, história oral, histórias de vida.   Abstract Since 1994 we have been developing several projects in the Nucleus of Researches about Memory and Education - Clio, at Centro de Educação [College of Education] at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The achieved results are closely linked 10 the uses of the oral story and of the life stories. The aim of this text is contemplate the possible relationship between the remembrance, provided by the practices of the oral story and life stories and the constitution of the individuals involved in these practices, as a necessary humanization process due to the alienation imposed by the modernity and by the context of ills crisis. To dispose the proposed theme we will use three basic ideas, two conclusions of history, and a conclusion (although generic) of our research practice with oral story and life stories. The first: the human beings, in the process of creation of the culture self produce their own. The same process of creation of the culture was responsible for the human beings differentiation from the other beings of the nature. The concept of human being lakes the one of culture within it, which distinguishes it of the first species governed exclusively by biological laws. In this way, the concept of culture carries the human sense. Ali the production of the culture by the human being is, at the same time, a production of the human being by the culture. The second: the alienated activities of the human beings produce the alienated culture. For its lime, the existence of an alienated culture produces alienated and inhumane human beings. The third: in the proportionate remembrance among the individuals involved in the practices of oral story and !life story, the pals is reconstituted as fragment that composes the mosaic of the meanings that the individual who reminisces is self attributed and the ones that are externally attributed. Estimativa da umidade do solo por refletometria GNSS : uma revisão conceitual

Soil moisture monitoring enables efficient management and use of water resources, having great importance for several purposes, such as: monitoring of risk areas; delimitation of areas susceptible to flooding; geotechnical activities; and in agriculture development. GNSS Reflectometry (GNSS-R) is a scientific and technological development that allows one to perform proximal or remote sensing, depending on the antenna height concerning the surface, by means of navigation satellites. This method exploits GNSS signals indirectly reaching a receiver antenna after they are reflected on the surrounding surfaces. In this method, direct and indirect GNSS signals that reach the receiving antenna are exploited, after reflection on the surfaces existing around the antenna. The combination of these two signals causes the multipath effect, which affects GNSS observable and deteriorates positioning. On the other hand, when interacting with these reflecting surfaces one can estimate their properties. One of the main advantages of GNSS-R, when compared with the conventional methods, is the intermediate coverage area, as well as, the use of the well-defined structure of GNSS systems that guarantee appropriate temporal resolution. The scope of this paper is to present a conceptual review of GNSS-R applied to soil moisture monitoring.O monitoramento da umidade do solo possibilita o manejo e uso eficiente de recursos hídricos, sendo uma atividade importante em diversas áreas, tais como: no monitoramento de áreas de risco; delimitação de áreas suscetíveis a enchentes; atividades da geotecnia; e na agricultura. A Refletometria GNSS (GNSS-R) é um desenvolvimento científico e tecnológico que permite realizar sensoriamento remoto ou proximal, a depender da altura da antena em relação à superfície, com satélites de navegação. Neste método, explora-se os sinais GNSS que chegam à antena receptora de maneira direta e indireta, após reflexão nas superfícies existentes no entorno da antena. A combinação destes dois sinais ocasiona o efeito de multicaminho, que afeta as observáveis GNSS e deteriora o posicionamento. Por outro lado, ao interagir com estas superfícies, o sinal indireto permite estimar atributos acerca destas superfícies, como por exemplo a umidade do solo. Uma das principais vantagens em relação aos métodos convencionais reside no fato do GNSS-R proporcionar uma área de abrangência intermediária e o uso da estrutura bem estabelecida dos satélites GNSS, que garantem resolução temporal apropriada. The fellings of individuals with mental disorders undergoing psychosocial rehabilitation regarding recreational activities

As terapias tradicionais têm potencial para controlar a sintomatologia psiquiátrica, mas não oferecem condições de manutenção desse controle. Assim, as modalidades terapêuticas não tradicionais se apresentam como um meio para auxiliar nessa manutenção. Este estudo objetivou levantar os sentimentos que portadores de transtornos mentais têm ao participarem de um programa de atividades de recreação. Para isso, 10 usuários de um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial após participarem de 10 sessões de Atividades de Recreação, foram submetidos a uma entrevista, que mostrou como resultados, sentimentos de prazer, tranquilidade, emoção e união, sendo possível considerar que se trata de uma atividade importante na assistência em saúde mental, influenciando favoravelmente na reabilitação psicossocial. Os sentimentos extremamente positivos apresentados, levam ao entendimento de que essa atividade tem realmente um grande potencial para auxiliar no controle da sintomatologia, oferecendo ao portador de transtorno mental mais chances de controle dos sintomas provenientes de seus transtornos.Las terapias tradicionales tienen potencial para controlar la sintomatología psiquiátrica, pero no ofrecen condiciones de mantenimiento de tal control. Así, las modalidades terapéuticas no tradicionales se presentan como un medio para auxiliar en dicho mantenimiento. Este estudio objetivó captar los sentimientos experimentados por portadores de transtornos mentales participantes de un programa de actividades recreativas. Para ello, diez usuarios de un Centro de Rehabilitación Psicosocial, luego de participar de 10 sesiones de Actividades Recreativas, fueron sometidos a una entrevista, que mostró como resultados sentimientos de placer, tranquilidad, emoción y unión, posibilitando considerar que se trata de una actividad importante en la atención en salud mental, influenciando favorablemente en la rehabilitación psicosocial. Los sentimientos extremadamente positivos presentados, acercan al entendimiento de que tal actividad tiene realmente un gran potencial para auxiliar en el control sintomatológico, brindando al portador de transtorno mental más chances de control de los síntomas derivados de sus transtornos.Traditional therapies have the strength to control psychiatric symptoms, but do not offer the necessary conditions to maintain that control. Therefore, untraditional treatments may be used to help with that maintenance. The objective of this study was to survey the feelings that individuals with mental disorders experience while taking part in recreational activities. To do this, 10 users of a Psychosocial Care Center were interviewed after participating in 10 sessions of Recreational Activities Results showed the participants felt pleasure, tranquility, emotion and bonding. Thus, recreation can be considered an important activity in mental health care, as it has a positive effect on psychosocial rehabilitation. The participants showed very positive feelings, which suggest that recreational activities may be of great help in controlling symptoms hence increasing the patients' chances to maintain the symptoms of their disorders under control

3D KINEMATICAL ANALYSIS OF THE HAMMER THROW IN COMPETITIONS

This study analyzes 14 throws accomplished in Brazilian competitions and it compares with available international results in the literature. It calculates the angle, the velocity and the height of release of the hammer and the velocity curves in function of the time, starting from the 3D trajectory of the head of the hammer. The analyses relate the difference between Brazilian (averages of 55.38m male and 52.05m female) and international results (averages of 79.44m male and 70.60m female) and the release velocity (Brazilian averages of 24.59m/s male and 23.59m/s female, and international of 29.60m/s male and 28.89m/s female). The velocity curves in function of the time of the international releases show that the accelerations are higher and the deceleration lower during the turns, when compared with a Brazilian throw

PROPOSTA DE UM PROGRAMA DE P+L COMO FERRAMENTA PARA PROMOÇÃO DA GESTÃO AMBIENTAL: ESTUDO DE CASO

Operate in a less aggressive to the environment, reduce costs and become more competitive. This has been the focus of debates in Environmental Management and has been gaining momentum within organizations. However, do not require large investments and innovative changes in the way companies operate. Simple programs and targeted directly to the production process can bring benefit and cause a major impact on environmental management. Based on this principle and the analysis of the reality of a manufacturing company dedicated to the segment of waterproof clothing, the study created a proposal for a Cleaner Production program focused on environmental education, Reverse Logistics and Ecodesign. The most significant environmental impacts were identified through an array of Leopold and research adapted the generation of the losses occurred with the creation of flowcharts and diagrams of inputs and outputs. Also designed a device capable of assisting in the recycling process and the remains of the proposed indicators for environmental monitoring of the company. The methods used and the results showed serve as important sources in decision making and as a tool to help plan for Environmental Management.Atuar de forma menos agressiva ao meio ambiente, reduzir custos e ficar mais competitivas. Este tem sido o tema central de debates em Gestão Ambiental e que vem ganhando força dentro das organizações. Porém, não se necessitam altos investimentos e mudanças inovadoras no modo de operar das empresas. Programas simples e voltados diretamente ao processo produtivo podem trazer benefícios e provocar grande impacto na gestão ambiental. Partindo desse princípio e da análise da realidade fabril de uma empresa voltada ao segmento de roupas impermeáveis, o estudo criou uma proposta de um programa de Produção mais Limpa focado em Educação Ambiental, Logística Reversa e Ecodesign. Os impactos ambientais mais significativos foram identificados através de uma matriz de Leopold adaptada e a investigação da geração das perdas ocorreu com a elaboração de fluxogramas e diagramas de entradas e saídas. Também foi desenvolvido um equipamento capaz de auxiliar na reciclagem das sobras do processo e propostos indicadores para monitoramento ambiental da empresa. Os métodos utilizados e os resultados obtidos demonstraram servir como fontes importantes na tomada de decisão e como instrumento de auxilio para planos de Gestão Ambiental

Eosinophilic Folliculitis in a Dog

Background: Canine eosinophilic folliculitis is a dermatological disease of acute onset with development of erosive to ulcerative papular lesions, especially on the nasal bridge, that may cause severe skin abnormalities leading to discomfort and pain to the patient. The aim of this report was to characterize a case of a canine eosinophilic folliculitis with papular, ulcerative and crusting dermatitis on the nasal bridge, papules on eyelid and pinna, with confirmed diagnosis based on aspiration cytology, history and response to immunosuppressive therapy with glucocorticoid.Case: A 1-year-old intact Daschund was attended showing an acute onset (over 4 h) of generalized urticarial reaction and nonpruriginous lesion at the muzzle with mild serosanguineous exudate, which persisted for 96 h when the dog was evaluated. It was observed a papular and ulcerative dermatitis with serosanguineous exudate and hematic crusts at nasal bridge, papules measuring 2 mm in diameter in the medial and lateral canthus of the left eyelid, ulcerative papule with hematic crust in the border of left ear pinna, multifocal papules on the skin, dyskeratosis and generalized hair loss. The patient was anesthetized for blood sampling (CBC and serum biochemistry), lesions fine-needle aspiration, scraping and imprint for cytological examination, bacterial culture and nasal turbinates radiography. Fragments for histopathological evaluation were also collected. Erythrogram and platelet evaluation were unremarkable. Leukogram revealed leukocytosis (neutrophilia, lymphocytosis, monocytosis and eosinophilia). Serum biochemistry revealed hyperalbuminemia and discrete hyperproteinemia; values of alanine aminotransferase, creatinine and globulins were within normal range. In cytological examination, intense cellularity was observed with predominance of eosinophils (60%), neutrophils (35%), macrophages performing cytophagocytosis (5%) and degenerated cells. There was no bacterial growth within 48 h after incubation of nasal bridge lesion swab. There were no abnormalities identified at radiographic evaluation of nasal turbinates. As the patient was already with antibiotic therapy and steroidal anti-inflammatory, it was opted to maintain it, since interruption between the day of examination and laboratory results could cause more prejudice than benefit, corticosteroid dose, however, was readjusted (prednisone 2 mg/kg/per os/every 24h). After 1 week of treatment the owner reported significant improvement of clinical signs without any further complaint.Discussion: Typically, type I hypersensitivity reactions such as insect bites do not exceed clinical signs of erythema, local edema and pruritus, with spontaneous remission of clinical signs within few hours after exposure to the antigen. Eosinophilic folliculitis, however, may cause more severe clinical alterations, such as pain, apathy and hyporexia. Nasal bridge is the predominant site described to be affected in cases of eosinophilic folliculitis, being auricular pinna, thorax and limbs considered atypical presentations which can delay proper diagnosis, since in endemic regions for diseases such as visceral leishmaniasis, infectious etiology may be listed first. Differential diagnosis also includes superficial pyoderma, juvenile cellulitis, pemphigus foliaceus and pharmacodermia. The case described in this report emphasize the importance of an accurate diagnosis as well as an early and adequate treatment in order to promote satisfactory response. Also, highlights inadequate use of antimicrobials as a direct consequence of lack of laboratorial investigation.Keywords: skin, eosinophilia, furunculosis, dermatitis, insects
