La devoción mariana en el marco de la religiosidad del siglo XIII

El siglo XIII se identifica con la edad de oro de la devoción a la Virgen María. Este artículo se propone enmarcar la devoción mariana en las líneas de la religiosidad propia de aquella centuria. Tendrá en cuenta el perfil institucional de la Iglesia, pero sobre todo analizará lo que consideramos el contexto inmediato de la piedad hacia la Virgen María: las devociones cristocéntricas y el llamado “despertar religioso de los laicos”. Por otra parte, se estudiará las formas de culto y devoción a la Virgen en el siglo XIII, con una especial atención a la figura del rey Alfonso X el Sabio y sus Cantigas de Santa María.The 13th century is identified with the golden age of the devotion to the Virgin Mary. This article aims at looking at Marian devotion in the context of the religiosity of this century. It takes into account the institutional profile of the Church, but mostly analyses what we consider to be the immediate context of piety towards the Virgin Mary: Christocentric devotions and the so-called “religious awakening of lay people”. Intoxicación por paracetamol: caso clínico

La intoxicaciones medicamentosas, voluntarias o a modo de intento de autolisis, constituyen una de las causas que pueden conducir a una persona a necesitar de tratamiento urgente. Los casos más graves pueden abocar al paciente a situaciones de parada cardiorrespiratoria, necesitando no solo soporte vital básico y avanzado, sino también el desarrollo de otra serie de técnicas y cuidados específicos. El objetivo de este trabajo es conocer la actuación de los profesionales sanitarios, especialmente centrados en los cuidados de enfermería, en una intoxicación por paracetamol. Como metodología se emplea el desarrollo de un caso clínico, de una persona que acude a urgencias hospitalarias por un intento de autolisis mediante la ingesta de dosis tóxicas de paracetamol. La revisión bibliográfica que lo ilustra ha explorado las informaciones de artículos, protocolos y publicaciones de las bases de datos: CUIDEN PLUS, ELSEVIER, PUBMED y CINAHL, usando como palabras clave: acetaminofén, paracetamol, intoxicación, cuidados, autolisis, protocolo, urgencias, soporte vital avanzado, lavado gástrico, carbón activado, intubación orotraqueal y enfermería

Development and cross-national validation of the Emotional Effort Scale (EEF)

Background: Researchers define Emotional Labour (EL) as the effort associated with meeting the emotional requirements of the job, yet nobody has ever directly tested this effort. Building on classic stress and ego depletion theory, this study develops the Emotional Effort Scale (EEF). Methods: In Study 1, exploratory (N = 197) and confirmatory factor analysis (N = 182) were conducted with a British sample. In Study 2, the instrument was adapted to Spanish and measurement invariance was tested (N = 304). In Study 3, (N = 185), we tested convergent and divergent validity with the EL strategies (i.e., surface acting and deep acting) and the relationship between EEF and emotional exhaustion. Results: The final scale is a two-dimensional measure (explicit and implicit emotional effort) with good reliability levels in all samples (N = 818). Additionally, it shows adequate convergent, divergent and nomological validity. Conclusions: The Emotional Effort construct adds unique value to the literature. Thus, explicit effort seems to be the mechanism that explains the association between EL and exhaustion. Additionally, this study adapts and translates the measure to two of the most used languages in the world, enabling the emergence of cross-national studies in the field of emotions at work

Las empleadas de hogar. Régimen jurídico y de Seguridad Social

Esta investigación presenta un estudio de género del régimen jurídico laboral aplicable al personal del servicio doméstico. Sector ocupado mayoritariamente por mujeres. El objetivo principal es realizar un análisis jurídico sobre el marco legal aplicable para la actividad de las empleadas de hogar. Se presentará evolución de la normativa laboral, de seguridad social, así como análisis de la acción protectora vigente, observando la precariedad existente para este colectivo. Para abordar este estudio ha sido necesario efectuar un análisis documental y bibliográfico, junto con otros informes y datos estadísticos. Se pretende así, mostrar una visión general de la relación laboral del personal al servicio del hogar familiar, analizando así sus peculiaridades respecto de la relación laboral común. La importancia de esta investigación radica en sus peculiaridades, difícilmente podemos encontrar una regulación tan precaria, teniendo en cuenta que la mayor parte de las personas que trabajan en este sector son mujeres.This research presents a gender study of the labor legal regime applicable to domestic service personnel. Sector occupied mainly by women. The main goal is to carry out a legal analysis on the applicable legal framework for the activity of domestic workers. The evolution of labor regulations, social security will be presented, as well as the analysis of the current protective action, observing the existing precariousness for this group. To address this study it has been necessary to carry out a documentary and bibliographic analysis, together with other reports and statistical data. The aim is to show a general vision of the employment relationship of the staff at the service of the family home, analyzing their peculiarities with respect to the common labor relationship. The importance of this research lies in its peculiarities, we can hardly find such a precarious regulation, taking into account that most of the people who work in this sector are women
