Effect of a realistic three-body force on the spectra of medium-mass hypernuclei
We adopt the Hartree-Fock (HF) method in the proton-neutron-
(p-n-) formalism and the nucleon- Tamm-Dancoff Approximation
(N TDA) to study the energy spectra of medium-mass hypernuclei. The
formalism is developed for a potential derived from effective field theories
which includes explicitly the 3-body forces plus the LO potential.
The energy spectra of selected medium-mass hypernuclei are presented and their
properties discussed. The present calculation is the first step of a project
devoted to {\it ab initio} studies of hypernuclei in medium and heavy mass
regions. This may provide a guide for a better understanding of the

Taming the beast: a revised classification of Cortinariaceae based on genomic data

This article is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.Abstract: Family Cortinariaceae currently includes only one genus, Cortinarius, which is the largest Agaricales genus, with thousands of species worldwide. The species are important ectomycorrhizal fungi and form associations with many vascular plant genera from tropicals to arctic regions. Genus Cortinarius contains a lot of morphological variation, and its complexity has led many taxonomists to specialize in particular on infrageneric groups. The previous attempts to divide Cortinarius have been shown to be unnatural and the phylogenetic studies done to date have not been able to resolve the higher-level classification of the group above section level. Genomic approaches have revolutionized our view on fungal relationships and provide a way to tackle difficult groups. We used both targeted capture sequencing and shallow whole genome sequencing to produce data and to perform phylogenomic analyses of 75 single-copy genes from 19 species. In addition, a wider 5-locus analysis of 245 species, from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, was also done. Based on our results, a classification of the family Cortinariaceae into ten genera—Cortinarius, Phlegmacium, Thaxterogaster, Calonarius, Aureonarius, Cystinarius, Volvanarius, Hygronarius, Mystinarius, and Austrocortinarius—is proposed. Seven genera, 10 subgenera, and four sections are described as new to science and five subgenera are introduced as new combinations in a new rank. In addition, 41 section names and 514 species names are combined in new genera and four lecto- and epitypes designated. The position of Stephanopus in suborder Agaricineae remains to be studied. Targeted capture sequencing is used for the first time in fungal taxonomy in Basidiomycetes. It provides a cost-efficient way to produce -omics data in species-rich groups. The -omics data was produced from fungarium specimens up to 21 years old, demonstrating the value of museum specimens in the study of the fungal tree of life. The Security Testbed for the Purposes of the ITS-G5 Communication Attacks Prevention
Secure communication in the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) plays a crucial role in vehicular safety. Security threats can be an unwanted cause of congestions and attacks. In this paper, first, the security threats in ITS are described and discussed. Second, a concept of the security testbed for ITS-G5 communication was presented. Its purpose is to test or verify the security threats for the machine-to-machine communication in the ITS. The testbed is composed of two parts. The first part represents the vehicle, and the second part is the Road-Side Unit (RSU) or the Road-vehicle unit (RVU). The testbed contains Arduino-type modules, SPI interface to CAN bus converter, and ELM 327 diagnostic tool supporting all communication protocols of the OBD standard. The simulator presented in this article was practically implemented and the functionality verified by experimental testing. Finally, a message for remote speed limiting was implemented on the testbed for further security testing.Peer reviewe
The Broker Simulation Model in the Emission Allowances Trading Area
This paper is focused on possibilities of simulations of emission allowances trading within the EU emission trading system using new designed broker simulation model which integrates different original soft computing and decision making methods. Firstly, the paper presents the background of the EU emissions trading system and an overview of different methods used in current research connected with CO2 emission allowances trading. The key part of the paper focuses on the broker simulation model creation and application. The results are based on expert systems with fuzzy rule bases, nonlinear fuzzy rule based predictors and fuzzy rule based behavior modelling. The application part of the results has been performed in Matlab. The broker simulation model is able to make decisions connected with the traded amount, price of allowances and buy/sell actions within the time on the market.

Electromechanical strain in Bi(Zn1/2Ti1/2)O3–(Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3–(Bi1/2K1/2)TiO3 solid solutions
Solid solutions ceramics of the Bi(Zn0.5Ti0.5)O-3-(Bi0.5K0.5)TiO3-(Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3 ternary system for <20 mol. % BZT were created and confirmed to be single phase using x-ray diffraction. The dielectric dispersion showed decreasing T-max of the dielectric spectrum with a broadening of the transition with increasing BZT content. At 2.5BZT-40BKT-57.5BNT, a secondary transition commonly observed for morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) BNT-BKT was observed. The ferroelectric behavior of the system was characterized by a transition where the polarization hysteresis showed a severe pinching effect on remanent polarization (20.8 mu C/cm(2) at 2.5% BZT) as BZT contents was increased (P-r = 2.3 mu C/cm(2) at 20% BZT). Similarly, as the temperature increased to 175 degrees C, the remanent polarization of the 2.5% BZT composition significantly reduced to 2.1 mu C/cm(2). The onset of this transition corresponds to the lower temperature frequency dispersion observed in the dielectric spectrum. The strain hysteresis experienced analogous transition to the polarization, with a change in shape from typical ferroelectric butterfly to a complete loss of negative strain as BZT concentration increased. Maximum strain values of 0.33% were observed at 5-40-55 accompanied by a large d(33)* = 547 pm/V. (C) 2012 American Institute of Physics. The Role of Electrocardiographic Markers for Predicting Atrial Fibrillation in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke: Data from the BIOSIGNAL Cohort Study.
BACKGROUND AND AIMS
P-wave abnormalities in the 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) have been associated with a higher risk of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) as well as atrial fibrillation (AF). This study aimed to assess pre-determined ECG criteria during sinus rhythm in unselected AIS patients and their value for predicting newly diagnosed atrial fibrillation (NDAF) after hospital admission.
METHODS
P-wave alterations were measured on 12-lead ECG on admission in all consecutively enrolled patients without known AF between October 2014 and 2017. The outcome of interest was NDAF, identified by prolonged electrocardiographic monitoring within one year after the index AIS. Univariable and multivariable logistic regression was applied to assess the magnitude and independence of the association between pre-selected ECG markers and NDAF. The discriminatory accuracy was evaluated with the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), and the incremental prognostic value was estimated with the net reclassification index.
RESULTS
NDAF was detected in 87 (10%) of 856 patients during a follow-up of 365 days. Out of the pre-selected ECG parameters, advanced interatrial block (aIAB) and PR interval in lead II were independently associated with NDAF in univariable regression analysis. Only aIAB remained a significant predictor in multivariable analysis. Adding aIAB to the best-performing multivariable regression model improved the discriminatory accuracy to predict NDAF from an AUC of 0.78 (95%-CI 0.77-0.80) to 0.81 (95%-CI 0.80-0.83, p < 0.001).
CONCLUSION
aIAB is independently and highly associated with NDAF in patients with AIS, has high inter-rater reliability, and therefore may be helpful to refine diagnostic work-up to search for AF in AIS
Influence of heat treatment-induced residual stress on residual fatigue life of railway axles
Assessment of residual fatigue life of railway axles commonly does not include effect of residual stress. This paper presents advanced methodology for estimation of residual fatigue life of railway axles considering not only external loading but also internal residual stresses. The studied axles made of the EA4T steel were treated by induction hardening in order to generate very high compressive residual stress in the surface layer of the axle. Such residual stress has positive effect on behaviour of surface defects and leads to fatigue crack retardation or even crack arrest and, consequently, to immense prolongation of residual fatigue life. Experimentally measured data of residual stress were implemented in a numerical model in order to determine the true stress state in the axle. The model included a crack and took the effects of bending, press fit and residual stress into account. Residual fatigue life was calculated for various starting crack lengths based on the experimentally determined da/dN-ΔK curves for various load ratios. Finally, the results for axles hardened by standard method and by induction hardening were compared with residual fatigue lives obtained experimentally from fatigue tests on real railway axles with artificial cracks.
