    Get PDF
This article presents a review of high-level libraries that enable to recognize emotions in digital files of music. The main objective of the work is to study and compare different high-level content-analyzer libraries, showing their main functionalities, focused on the extraction of low and high level relevant features to classify musical pieces through an affective classification model. In addition, there has been a review of different works in which those libraries have been used to emotionally classify the musical pieces, through rhythmic and tonal features reconstruction, and the automatic annotation strategies applied, which generally incorporate machine learning techniques. For the comparative evaluation of the different high-level libraries, in addition to the common attributes in the chosen libraries, the most representative attributes in music emotion recognition field (MER) were selected. The comparative evaluation enables to identify the current development in MER regarding high-level libraries and to analyze the musical parameters that are related with emotions

The CFD simulations are first validated with experimental data. Then, the losses mechanisms are analysed and quantified in the different parts of the twin-entry turbine in terms of the MFR value. A sudden expansion is found at the junction of both branches in the interspace between volutes and rotor for unequal and partial admission cases. Tracking the flow coming from each of the turbine intake ports, it has been observed that both flow branches do not fully mix with each other within the rotor. Another source of losses has been identified in the contact between both flow branches due to their momentum exchange that depends on the difference between both flow branches velocities. These losses have not been considered before, and they should be included in mean line loss-based models for twin-entry turbine since they are very significant for unequal admission conditions. The author(s) disclosed receipt of the following financial support for the research, authorship, and/or publication of this article: Nicolas Medina is partially supported through contract FPU17/02803 of Programa de Formacion de Profesorado Universitario of Spanish Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovacion y Universidades. Get PDF
The stability analysis and voltage regulation in distribution systems, as well as power quality problems such as voltage sags, swells, due to connection and disconnection of large loads, short circuits and the presence of non-linear loads, require of the consideration of adequate technical solutions. In this paper, a Dynamic Voltage Restorer ( DVR ) model based on a power converter scheme for voltage compensation due to the presence of sags of amplitude since 0.1pu to 0.9pu and swells with amplitude from 1.1pu to 1.9pu, and power factor correction in distribution networks is proposed. The results are verified through MATLAB & Simulink

The classical Kramer sampling theorem, which provides a method for obtaining orthogonal sampling formulas, can be formulated in a more general nonorthogonal setting. In this setting, a challenging problem is to characterize the situations when the obtained nonorthogonal sampling formulas can be expressed as Lagrange-type interpolation series. In this article a necessary and sufficient condition is given in terms of the zero removing property. Roughly speaking, this property concerns the stability of the sampled functions on removing a finite number of their zeros

In Argentina, the species of freshwater river more abundant but without commercial value is the sábalo (Prochilodus platensis), for that reason have been developed technologies of use of this species. However, its higher lipid value compared to sea fish accelerates the oxidation process, affecting its properties and sensory quality. Here, a suitable methodological scheme will be implemented to evaluate the autoxidation in the fresh muscle of unprocessed sardine and its protein concentrate, both conserved at -20ºC, following the deterioration according to the peroxide index, compounds reactive to thiobarbituric acid and heminic iron. It was found that the determination of TBARS is more efficient the color development at boiling temperatures, and an increase in the concentration of the TBA reagent does not significantly improve the absorbance signal. The presence of cryoprotectants is a limitation to the TBARS technique, which causes significant interference. The heminic iron level presents a proportional decrease according to the incubation time and the cooking of the samples.

Analysis of false waves in numerical sea simulations

[EN] It is common practice to consider the random sea waves as a succession of discrete waves characterized by individual amplitudes and periods. The zero-up-crossing criterion for discretizing waves, as well as other criteria proposed by different authors, has been found to isolate some discrete waves that do not correspond to physical waves. These false waves alter the wave statistics of random sea waves. A new orbital criterion is proposed to avoid this problem. The orbital criterion has been shown to be consistent and robust with respect to the zero-up-crossing criterion. Furthermore, the new criterion produces a distribution of wave heights in better agreement with the Rayleigh distribution. The mean period of the discrete waves corresponding to the orbital criterion is proved to be T01, while the mean period of the zero-up-crossing waves is T02. A formula relating the Longuet-Higgins spectral bandwidth nu with the relative number of false waves is given.Gimenez Valentin, MH.; Sánchez Carratalá, CR.; Medina, JR. (1994). Surgical anatomy and technique for the treatment of Dubberley type 1, 2 and 3 capitellar fractures via a limited anterior approach to the elbow

Coronal plane fractures of the elbow can affect the capitellum, the trochlea (or a combination of the two), the radial head and the coronoid processes. The Kocher lateral approach is the most commonly used for open reduction of this type of fractures, although an arthroscopic technique has been used in some cases. When the fracture extends to the trochlea, the Kocher lateral approach may be inadequate for the correct visualisation, reduction and fixation of the fracture. In such cases an associated medial elbow approach may be required, or a posterior transolecranon approach may be preferred. We think that the limited anterior approach to the elbow could be a valid option when treating these types of fractures, as it does not involve the de-insertion of any muscle group or ligament, thereby facilitating the recovery process. In cases involving trochlear fracture (which may or may not be dissociated) the approach can be extended medially. We can also treat associated injuries such as fractures of the radial head or coronoid process with this approach. In the present study we describe the dissection of the medial and lateral cubital fossa of the elbow in extension in 4 specimens, paying attention to the neurovascular structures of the area. We also describe the surgical technique for the limited approach to the medial and lateral cubital fossa. We demonstrate the accessibility via the cubital fossa to the capitellum, trochlea, radial head, and coronoid process
